I realized I made a mistake in calculating the Total PC Cost. I don't know how I missed it, but I forgot to include the PC Case in the pricing. The total I paid was $580. This included some small coupons. It is possible with the UA-camr Promotions on Aliexpress ($25 off $100) to get closer to the advertised number (idk when they are doing them again). And obviously if you buy Used parts other than the RTX 3070 (which is the only part I bought Used).
If your using power supply extensions: install the power supply extensions to the motherboard BEFORE you install the board into the case. Likewise install the cable extensions to the video card BEFORE you plug in the video card into the case. Its a good habit to learn that way you are not stressing any components trying to plug in the connectors plus you can visually inspect that its fully plugged in when its out of the case. I always use power supply extensions because that way you can swap out the power supply super easy and super fast. For the people that are ok with intel and ok with less threads you can pickup the 12100F 13100F for cheaper and its brand new in a sealed box. The board is the same price as am4. Yes i like that msi power supply i have two of them they are tier c so it should be fine for most potato and budget builds, get the 550 for 8pin video cards and get the 650 if it has TWO 8pin video plugs. Happy Thanksgiving Day.
@@OwensVault 😊 I love potato builds, this week im going to start working an an AM3 board with an FX8350, and then an Acer OEM Board with an i7-6700 transplanted into a Montech white matx Air 100, for video cards i ordered a couple classic GTX 970 three fan video cards ones a gigabyte and ones a zotac. Happy Thanksgiving Day.
This was a surprise! I didn't check the sub count until the very end, and I was surprised when I saw it's only 206! Well, now its 207 ;) I wish you the best of luck and I will follow your journey to grow as a fellow PC enthusiast, also trying to add tips and tricks/advice in the comments (not criticizing, just trynna help 😭) I really loved this build, however the only thing i would change is probably that I would get a better and more trusted M.2 drive, they are all like 30-50 bucks now from trusted brands like Crucial or Kingston so I would pick up one of those instead And also you might be able to snag a good ram deal, especially now that it's black friday, for probably around 30-50 bucks from good brands I would however steer clear away from Kingston, as i have a 32GB set in my personal rig and the XMP doesn't work, aka when i set it to 3200Mhz instead of 2400, the PC won't boot and it just sits on with spinning fans, no monitor output, and a RAM light on the mobo Anyways, that's it from me,(ill stop the yap 🙏), I wish everyone a good day and good luck, and Owen you better expect me in your videos' comment section in the future Peace!
hey owen! just a quick question. isn't the MSI mag 650w power supply only has 1 pig-tail style PCIE connector? I assumed you connected both of your extensions to those. i've seen a lot of builders recommending that i shouldn't use the pig-tail PCIE cable to power up a gpu that requires two PCIE cables. did you experience any troubles when using your system? I have the same psu tho, that's why i've been stuck to my rtx 2060 for a long time until i have enough money to upgrade my psu.
from my research and experience, theres no difference whether its a pig-tail or 2 seperate pcie connectors. I think it matters for high wattage cards like the 3090, 4080+
@@alexcatalan7964 sure, those take TWO 8pin plugs, the msi is enough to pull it, i have an MSI pulling a 5700XT and that consumes a bit more power than those cards and its fine. Plug the cables into the card BEFORE you plug the video card into the case. Avoid stressing PC Components.
It's a bit of a technical thing but it's technically better if you have separate PCIE extensions to have them going off each rail. Usually I only really care about this if it's something high end like a 7900XTX or 4090. My 1070 is running pigtail. 7800XT is separate atm. Really depends what PSU is installed to them also.
hey bro am planning to make a build should i go with i513400f 4060 or 3070 used and its less 130$ then 4060 new in my country and am planning to play 1080 low settings 140+fps bo6 warzone bf2024 no dlss just raw performance

I agree, this is definitely good info for newer pc builders!

Your gonna make it, I promise, keep going and remember I've been here from the start
clean! how much did u sell it for?

Not a bad build, especially with aesthetics in mind.
Clean build 👌😎

sick rig!
Are you using frame generation when testing these games?
No, I would only recommend that for 4000 series gpus
planning to use this case in black , but i’m not sure how i’m gonna fit 2 sata ssd and a hard drive in the back lol
ooo thats a lot, u should switch to an nvme
How much do you think this will cost with the black friday and cyber monday deals
based on my pinned comment, itll probably go down like $20
Question, if you had $600 total where would you spend the extra cash?
I would get 32gb of Ram and a better cpu like the ryzen 7 5800x or whatever is best for am4 (that fits in the budget)
Nice bro keep it up
Did the same build for 450$
Lol no way. I'm making a similar build like this too. On around 10:05 the reset switch can also go in the middle
Is a ryzen 5 2600 good
yeah if you can get it for about $30 used
@ got it for 18$ Ali express
I like your amount of video
