This was heart warming to watch. Nuremberg was my home away from home when I stationed in Vilseck/Grafenwoehr from 05-07, and I miss it and all my friends from there. Best part for me was the golden make a wish ring that y’all spun. It was one of the first things I was told to go do when I got off the train. Watching this makes me want to go back and visit with my mom. Absolutely Beautiful!!! Thank y’all.
I was lucky enough to be stationed at Johnson Barracks in Furth, just next door to Nuremburg 76-79. I still keep in touch with one of my special friends who lived there. Awesome ancient city. I do miss it. I did get to go to Grafenwoehr too, but didn't enjoy that as much.
Great video! My wife grew up in Nuremberg and we visit every other year. We actually leave for Germany next Sunday. The zoo (Tiergarten) is really nice. The city dungeons were really cool to see. The Christmas Market is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately we're not often there in the winter.
@@4JHelfer I grew up in Nuremberg and my family still lives there. My boyfriend and I visit every other year as well. Maybe we'll run into you one day! Haha! .....Erika
you both exude a sense of calmness and peacefulness quite unlike any other UA-cam channel I follow. It makes your channel feel very authentic/unique. That, mixed with the chemistry between you two, and your very bubbly/cheerful-like personalities, always makes me look forward to watching your videos. And while the places you two visit are always a treat to the eyes, it's really you guys that make the video a whole lot nicer to watch. So, just really wanted to convey a heartfelt thank you for that (i.e., being you), haha. Continue to do the awesome work you guys! Definitely by far my favorite channel. Will continue rooting for y'all! Side note: You two are rep-ing Canada real well, haha. I guessed you two were Canadian the minute I stumbled on your videos. Such sweet folks - it was almost too obvious. Wish you two all the success!!
Thank you very much! This is one of the nicest comments we've ever received. We feel very fortunate to be able to travel and to pursue our passion of making videos and sharing our journey along the way.
do not forget 90 % had been destroit in WWII! So I guess as a Nürnberger I could say it was quite good rebuild! I hope Tourists will come to visit out town!
Brats and Beer on a Saturday morning and the Turks selling hashish at night in the same area. One could walk their feet off in that city. I never knew where I was going so I just walked everywhere. Schwabach was a hop skip and a jump away. There are but loads of museums and art galleries in Nuremberg. To really see that part of Germany or any part is to go on a volks march. I miss it grandly and havn't been back since 1983 before the wall fell. Great vid keep up the work.
Watched this prior to visiting and my girlfriend and I have been there almost three times now over the last year and a half, such a delightful place to go and we highly recommend it, also, nice to see that Sam uses the fork in the right hand and knife in the left, like myself :)
I enjoy to watch your vlogs specially your India/Rajastan video that are really great. It helps me a lot to prepare my travel to Rajasthan on next month. And it is really amazing to know that you visited my town Nürnberg. I hope you enjoyed your stay there. Keep up the great vlogs and thank you for sharing your experiences
Thank you very much! That is exciting to hear you'll be going to India soon. Late October is a great time to visit in terms of weather. We really enjoyed Nuremberg. I think it is quite underrated and such a lovely city to explore on foot.
nice Video! but you should have visited LOCHGEFÄNGNISSE below the Rathaus as well. Very impressive. And for Nuremberg Bratwurst the "Zum Gulden Stern" which was built in 1380 and the Building is still orginal!
After your sausage vid, I've had a day of Saurkrt and tofu Bavarian sausage and weiners with hot mustard, and now, this. tyvm! No need to comment. Looking forward to Kyrg again, sleeping in those little huts ("yerts"? ha ha) with the goats again? btw, you made the streets and bridges look lovely. :) Nice lighting!
Thank you very much! That sounds tasty :) We're so exciting to be back again. I think our series this year will be even more adventurous than what we did last year.
Nürnberg is one of my favorite places! My dad loves taking us to the castle and finding the hoof prints on the wall. I am hoping to tour the documentation center next month. Did you visit the stadium where Hitler made his speeches?
Speaking of a special bridge, you crossed one at 08:27! It's the "Kettensteg" or "Chain Bridge", the oldest chainbridge on the european continent: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_Bridge_(Nuremberg) Oh, and btw., a very nice and recommendable tourist guide. Enjoyed your video a lot :)
You are on top form here. Nuremberg more interesting place to visit than I thought and you are the first vloggers I have seen who have shown the old Nazi rally grounds now documentation centre.
So very helpful.. We are going in June 2020, staying two days. It seems like you were able to see all of the places i was looking into. I had seen a tour for $400 for the 4 of us, and i am rethinking that.. I really like your itinerary and the option to stroll and explore on our own and don see the need to pay that money.. Do you recomend the tour? or think we would be able to see the document center, Albrect Durer home, the bridges, Castle, old town, chruches on our own..
not the golden ring brings luck, it is the iron ring. I live near Nuremberg. you have to go to Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Dinkelsbühl. two of the most beautiful old towns in Germany.
great vid of my city. thx for the upload. at the fountain ya just picked the wrong ring. the golden ring is at the west side + much bigger and more down. come back - there is much much more to see here. 2 days are not enough.

Actually there are two rings at the Schöner Brunnen. A golden (fake) one for the tourists and a dark one for the people of Nuremberg.
Ah, good to know!
I have to go back. I did on the gold one today.
Very nice brief presentation of one of my favorite cities in the world. There is so much to see and do there. It would take days to do it all.
Thanks Jess! We enjoyed visiting.
Поскорее бы лето, хочется поехать в Германию
you've used the wrong ring,
the golden one is on the other side,
the black one is for people from nuremberg :)
Oh, thanks for letting us know! Our mistake.
The original ring is locked up afaik.
Alex Cio which one is for good luck then?
Ein Ring sie alle zu binden...
Can't wait to go to Germany again and see some of the beautiful sights 👍🏼 Great guide guys!
Thank you! That sounds really cool. Any idea when and where you'll start?
No idea! There's too many quaint towns to visit! But I'm sure your videos will help out some as well 😆
yes, do you know würzburg?
Thanks, guys, forwarded this clip to my daughter since she's headed to Nuremburg today, your videos are delightful and always quite helpful!

Thank you very much! We sure had a surprisingly good time in Nuremberg :)
Spinning the ring 10 times actually will bring unluck all over you and your whole family. Greetings from Nürnberg
Oh thanks for sharing that! We enjoyed visiting your city.
Well, you see why we locals must use the black ring. Because of our black souls ;-)
Dark soul from a grey wolf
Nürnberg has some top Christmas products you missed: the original Lebkuchen (sweet spicy bread) and other stuff.
Thanks for letting us know about that.
There's much more to see, but this was good for a day not stopping at the major museums.

the first thing that comes to my mind when i hear about nuremberg are the 'nuremberg trials'
Yeah and there should be Trials for Soviets, British and Americans murdered so much civilians with carpet bombing! Justice should be served
Where are you guys going after Nürnberg!?
Budapest and then Kyrgyzstan :)
Nice! You've been to Kyrgyzstan before, haven't you?
Yeah, we went last fall. We're stoked to be back again :)
In Budapest, if you haven't used it before, can I recommend seeking out the Children's Railway in the Buda hills..it is really a cool experience. Have a good time, whatever you do.

How much shock are your wallets in now you're in to Europe?!
