I’m a teacher so I spent my lunch with you! I keep a small project to work on during lunch. Today it’s a tilted block stitch baby blanket. Thanks for spending lunch with me!
Bless you. Teachers work so hard. I worked as a para professional for a year and so I saw just how hard teachers work. Happy to spend lunch break with you!
@@karikeller9810 we actually got blessed with a longer lunch so it’s nice to have a little time to crochet! Last year we had like 23 minutes! This year we have 35!
I love the Furls hooks, and I have quite a few, but when I started making amigurumi, I switched to the Tulip Etimo red hooks, and those were a game changer for me. But then I also tried the Clover amour hooks, and those are even more comfortable to use. So I agree with you on this point. The furls hooks are better for blankets and wearable, but the Clovers are amazing overall!! And Michelle Jasek is amazing! I love her channel as well! ❤
I LOVE Katyas designs. As a geology student planning on focusing on paleontology, I’ve been obsessed with her patterns. She also recently got them in book form!!
I love you sharing your favorite things cause it might inspire others to go try new things. Im tempted to get some Keche yarn to make some plushies with. I watch Michelles channel and im always enjoying her content and her cat, Totoro, which just makes me happy to see. I am of course at work like normal, so im trying to survive the day so I can crochet once im home as I want to continue making a cardigan for myself.
I got the baby bear yarn to make my cousin an amigurumi squirrel and immediately wrote down in my notebook “I love this yarn!” I also hope that will make more colors in this yarn because it’s such a joy to work with!
Really loving your channel!! Especially in these trying times, your videos brighten things up just a little bit every time :) Thank you for the work you do! I'm working on long fingerless gloves to match the hooded poncho I just made!
Katya's one of my fav designers! If you want one of her patterns thats cool but simple enough it can be done in a day, try Otavia the sea sponge! I tested that pattern and its super easy and super cute.
Clover amour are my favorite hooks too. I do have 3 sizes of the furls and I like them, they are really comfortable and I love the weight of them. I have a set of tulip etimo hooks that I like too, they don’t have raised embossing on them. The only hooks I have that I don’t like are two adorable polymer clay handled hooks. I ordered them because they are so cute but didn’t check my choice and ordered Susan bates hooks by mistake, I’m not a fan. As I watch your video I’m knitting socks. They are a great travel project as they don’t take up much room. At home I’m making plushies for and sewing bags for Christmas orders.
I really enjoy watching Michelle Jasek's videos too! She's great. I was folding laundry while watching this video (not very exciting 😂). I can't wait to see your cardigan video. What color(s) are you using?
Awh yay I love her too. She’s so funny and yet relaxing to watch. And I love Totoro. It is with a blue and pink coloring changing yarn! I just finished filming the video yesterday so it should be coming soon!!
Working on a capybara by Sweet beans crochet! ❤ I would love to try the metal Furls! I’ve had several Furls and *broke* several 😢 but I do love them! And of course Clover is my go to!!
@@krissi_kreations that sounds cute! Oh no I haven’t heard of those hooks breaking! I am not a big fan of plastic hooks overall I do sometimes use the bigger clover ones that are plastic but I wish they were metal
It's only been in the last year that I started exploring different types hooks by buying 1 size from different brands. What I have found is that for amigurumi my go to is the Tulip Rose (tried the Red didn't like it as much) and for kits from Mary Maxim or Herrschnerrs just use Clover otherwise for some reason you'll run out of yarn. And I definitely agree, do not use in-line hooks for amigurumi.
Ok so I’m not the only one who doesn’t like inline for amigurumi. I haven’t tried the Tulip Rose. How is it different from the red if you don’t mind me asking.
@@Tfwcrochet The Rose hook had less drag than the Red and was similar to the Clover but fit my hand better which is why it won the test. The Tulip Classic (which is gold and had to be ordered straight from Japan via Amazon) was even better but it's not an ergonomic hook. I've wanted to try a Furls hook but the price for just 1 hook that may or may not work out 🤷♀️
Unfortunately this has been hit or miss for me I buy from that same brand in the dragon eyes are and sometimes they’re good and sometimes scratched. But that’s only the plain black. The glitter and dragon look great.

I’m thinking about doing this…I already bring a project everywhere just in case.😂

About to start on her giant triceratops ❤❤

Love that spinning container! May have to get one of those 😀

Very good video. Thank you! (All in for the good vibes right about now.)
Thank you especially for the dragon eyes recommendation. 🐲🦋
Hope you enjoy them!!
Great video! Love seeing you midweek! 💕
Love being here! 🥰
I found some furls like hooks on Amazon that I really like. Wood handle and really loving them. Only about $12! I was market prepping chicks in eggs 🐣
Working on a cardigan while watching
I got the same spinning containers from Walmart for my safety eyes after seeing yours in one of your first videos ❤

love watching your videos you are always so upbeat at the moment i am making a pomni a bought pattern from etsy

I’m not a huge Susan bates fan either. I will use her hooks from time to time but they are so sharp for lack of a better word
I can’t use furl hooks but I adore tulip hooks

@ good to know! I would only say buy the furls if you know you like inline. I knew it wasn’t my preference but I just had to try it !
i love baby bear. BUT after they restocked it, it changed a bit so i'm side eyeing it a bit rn
Oh no really? I hate when companies do that.
@@Tfwcrochet yeah 🥺 some of them are more like posh now but softer. hopefully it's just a weird batch
Inline hooks are a must for me on amigurumi! I just can’t crochet with a tapered hook, it always splits the yarn ! 14:03
I feel the exact opposite. So funny
Can you give advice on other safety eyes you like? One for the plain Jane critters.
Would also love some direction in buying safety eyes that have a backing that won’t kill your finger musculature!

Where do you get just regular black 9-12mm safety eyes? I’ve struggled to find good ones online.
I buy that same brand on Amazon but they are hit or miss if they’re scratched but they’re mostly good
@ thanks!
Foam roller?? I will go see what they are!
I didn’t describe it much but they are hair rollers that have foam on the outside and a wire on the inside. I get mine at Five Below.
Keche 4:23 yarn- so expensive!
It’s not cheap but it’s good quality!
What is the pattern for the dinosaur in the background the long neck one
It by Stringydingding free bronotosaurus pattern on their blog
I can't find your inch worm tutorial 😢. Would love to make it
Right now it’s only available to Patreon and channel members.
