    Hi Rob, you are indeed the expert when it comes to this genie plus. I watched your videos for Animal Kingdom and was able to complete basically everything in the park by 1:43pm. I told myself if i was park hopping i cant believe i would have completely gotten everything done with animal kingdom by lunch. Thanks alot. I am sure you will have alot more subscribers soon as you are that great when it comes to strategizing. Thanks

    Rob, I watched your videos to prepare for our family of 5 to visit Disney for the first time. I cannot emphasize enough how much they helped us maximize our time in the parks and made using Genie+ easy and completely stress-free! We had two days in total to visit Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. On our first day, we got on 20 rides, including TRON, and still caught the parade, two shows, and enjoyed an incredible meal at Be Our Guest! We rode every ride we wanted to in every park, saw every show, and only thought happy thoughts all day! I would recommend your videos over anything else to anyone preparing for a magical time at Disney. We can’t thank you enough!

We did all 4 parks in 1 day yesterday and our extended evening hours for Epcot got cut quite short due to the crazy storm that hit last night… 😢 but thank you so much again Rob, you helped make our trip amazing!!!! 🥰

    You are the best Disney Channel on youtube!!!! Would love if you could do a video series (or maybe you have one) on like non ride attractions worth doing. For example we randomly did the bird show at AK last year and my kids loved it! Never heard anyone talk about but it was really great. Also the shows they do at each park. Sometimes it's nice to do those things in between riding rides.

    Love your videos Rob! My trip is in 10 days & looks like rain every day. Do you have a video with tips for rainy days?

    • @EarScouts
      @EarScouts  Рік тому +4

      Hi Carol! Funny you should ask. We’ve gone to the park with all of our rain gear and a plan to film a “rainy day tips” video, but all that rain in the forecast never materialized. The good news for you is that it likely won’t rain your entire trip. Orlando frequently gets an afternoon downpour in the summer, but it is very rare for it to rain all day for multiple days. Also, don’t trust the forecast beyond what it predicts for the next few hours. Temperatures are usually somewhat accurate, but precipitation is a true crap shoot in Central Florida. I think they should replace those 🌦️ icons with 🤷‍♂️ emojis in the weather apps for this area.
      My biggest tip, though, is to bring some comfortable sandals to wear during the downpours and put your shoes and socks in a plastic bag. I keep a plastic bag and sandals in my backpack. Wet shoes and socks are a recipe for disaster at WDW and can really put a damper (pun intended) on your trip. Also, keep in mind that outdoor attractions, especially coasters, will go down for lightning so prioritize those if you think storms are coming. Hope you have an amazing time, rain or shine - and thanks for watching! ☔️😃

      Totally agree with Rob on the shoe swap strategy and also want to add… unless you’re really tired and were planning to already, DONT leave the park when it starts raining. Like Rob said it probably won’t rain long and it always seems that the parks clear out as it rains. You may be rewarded with lower wait times after it passes.

    Hello first congratulations! Your videos are fantastic, very useful and entertaining. May I ask you two questions?
    I want to arrive at Magic Kingdom at 2:00 p.m., my plan is to book my first attraction at 7:00 a.m. but to get on the attraction in the afternoon, that is, choose a time around 2:00 p.m. , but are there alternatives to select in the afternoon and not in the morning?
    If so, this plan is feasible: book my first attraction at 7:00 a.m. to use it at 2:00 p.m., make my second reservation at 11:00 a.m. for some attraction at 3:00 p.m., and at 1:00 p.m. make my third reservation for 17:00.. ..that is to say, I will have 3 reservations at the park.. is that possible? so easy?
    Regards and THANK YOU

    Man we waited over 3 hours for flight of passage we got in at 2:05 and didn’t come out till 529. Though the ride is a absolutely amazing but not worth the wait because it didn’t feel like 4 min. Sadly the kali rapids was broken we got in line and then they announced it had to be close because of that I was able to go to everst ride. We couldn’t do any shows and just pure exhaustion from the weight time after that we left. Anyways animal kingdom is gorgeous but my advice if you don’t like waiting go in off season not in holidays. Unless u have teenager and they don’t get tired

The last time I was there I did the single rider line and I had a super magical thing happen--there was a single rider in the standby line who chose to wait for the front and they paired me with him. 9:12 (MDT) - I need tips for Genie + for our family of 15 going to WDW in December-yes, over the holiday. I noticed you can only book Genie+ for 12.

    • @EarScouts
      @EarScouts  Рік тому +1

      Hello! Yes, unfortunately the max in one group is 12. I recommend making two members of your group the “Genie Captains” who will book for all of you. Separate into two smaller groups and try to think of the kinds of rides the members of that group would ride and sort accordingly. If there are 3-4 that won’t ride thrill rides, for example, make them their own group and put everyone else in the other. You’ll be playing the Genie Slots A LOT, most likely, so make sure your Genie Captains are familiar with the ins-and-outs and that they get those key rides booked asap. They will become very tough to book and get overlapping times for later in the day. Check our 2023 Genie videos for tips - start with the 27 Tips video that was redone for 2023 and then watch the park-specific ones. The only one we haven’t updated yet is Epcot, but not much has changed there. We also made a video specifically about using Genie for large groups that you might find helpful, but it was filmed on one of the busiest days of the year, so you will likely have an easier time than we did. Good luck! 🍀😃

    • @EarScouts
      @EarScouts  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi Allison! Thanks for watching. 🙂 In terms of the order, I think it really depends on your specific situation. If you are worried about mastering Genie Plus, I’d do Animal Kingdom first because it really only has one challenging Lightning Lane to book (Navi River Journey) and the rest are pretty easy to grab. Hollywood Studios is probably the most challenging of those three. Hope that helps!

    Hey Rob! Love your videos, watching them all religiously to prepare for my trip next year. Question, sorry if you covered it already in another video and I missed it: when immediately booking another LL after checking into one, how much time should I allow for finishing the ride I'm currently on and getting over to that next one? Would 30 minutes be a safe bet, or should I allow for more? Would of course take into account how far the next one is from the one I'm currently on also. :) Thanks so much, keep up the great work!

      @EarScouts  Рік тому +2

      Hello! We use an iPhone and a gimbal. Our gimbal is currently the DJI OM6. While you are correct, selfie sticks are not allowed, gimbals serve a different purpose (to steady your phone and get smooth footage). Note that the OM6 can technically extend like a selfie stick and you would not be allowed to do that in the parks. I never extend it when I’m filming. Hope that helps and thanks for watching! 😃

      You used to be able to purchase Genie when you booked your vacation. They took that away when they announced variable pricing and the ability for Genie to sell out. As of now, you cannot buy Genie until midnight on the day you wish to use it. It seems likely that they will bring back the ability to pre-purchase in 2024 as they have hinted at the ability to book rides in advance like you could do with the old FastPass+ system.

      I had that same fear when I started riding coasters again after COVID. I had gone so long without riding them and my body was decidedly less than thrilled about those first rides. I thought it was just because I had gotten too old. The good news was that after riding some more, the nausea subsided and I’ve been fine since. The only attractions I still can’t do without nausea are the all-virtual motion simulator rides at Universal. The Disney ones like Star Tours and Flight of Passage don’t give me an issue, but Transformers made me wish I had a barf bag with me. 😅 Hopefully you’ll find those feelings subside if you decide to give it another go.
