Welcome to the training video on the basics of proper specimen preparation for both the BD MAX™ Enteric Bacterial Panel and Extended Enteric Bacterial Panel processed on the BD MAX™ System.
You can get 24 patient results in about 3 hours with the BD MAX™ Enteric Viral Panel and Extended Enteric Bacterial Panel.
The BD MAX Enteric Bacterial Panel detects nucleic acid from:
· Salmonella spp.
Campylobacter spp. (jejuni and coli)
Shigella spp. / Enteroinvasive E. coli
Shiga toxin 1 (stx1) / Shiga toxin 2 genes (stx2) genes
BD MAX™ Extended Enteric Bacterial Panel detects nucleic acids from:
· Plesiomonas shigelloides
· Vibrio spp. (V. vulnuficus, V. parahaemolyticus, V. cholerae)
· Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) heat-labile enterotoxin (LT)/ heat-stable enterotoxin (ST) genes
· Yersinia entercolitica
