Ive been very interested in viruses lately, I heard about you on a Malcomb Gladwell podcast and stumbled upon this. What a great explanation of viruses and how they work. Thank you so much, you are an excellent educator. Very elegant.
I was wondering what possible interaction there could be between someone infected with a retrovirus and an mRNA vaccine. What checks does the cell have to completely prevent itself from integrating mRNA floating around in the cytoplasm?
Thx for the great talk by a great person. Although I dont understand, in 5.37 you say about the 4th way: just by putting the +strand in the cell proteins can be made. But the drawing says otherwise. About the 5th way you say: We have a -strand that has to be copied into a + strand. But the drawing says otherwise. So I guess in the 4th way the mid -strand has to be removed from the picture and in the 5th way a mid +strand has to be added.
Thanks for your talk , very interesting. Have you ever done research on the effect of electric current applied to the blood to prevent duplication ? I’ve read lots about this and curious of your viewpoint .
What..?! You are one of them who revealed reverse transcription? Wow, what a honor to view this video
I now recall your name seen on my college textbook 😲
Truly an honor!!
What an honour to have David Baltimore give such an informative talk. I wish I was so much younger, learning is much easier!
I am really excited by the work you do at iBiology, and I am thrilled to be listening to Dr. Baltimore. Thank you for this.
Excellent overview of the basics of some key aspects virology. A must see video for everyone.

ah ah you are not alone.
Just keep listening until you understand it. At this level, the lecturer assumes the listeners already know the basic concepts.
absolute legend
