In Wisconsin the largest Conibears legal on land is a 160. Liking the podcasts, will be watching all first and then will be tacking notes on the second go a round.

Crazy how much regulations vary from state to state, but I've had really good success trapping raccoons with the Belisle 160s. The are very strong

Minnesota Trapline Products has a pretty good starter kit (www.minntrapprod.com/MB-Predator-Starter-Kit-MB-550s/productinfo/550START/) I'm a big fan of the MB 550 traps

Dog proof left with broken off arm and no raccoon. How can I keep from this happening? Z-Trap with stake anchor. Do I need swivels or chain extension? Or what else could be the reason? Thanks

Was the trap wrapped around anything that could have taken the swivel action away?

Coyote Trapping School - not that I could find. Was full of dirt but was in an open field area.

Must have been a free meal. Would have thought there would have been sign of hair or blood from a fight. Thank you for taking the time to help!

He chewed his leg off. Rare but it does happen.

Can you use 3/8 rebar in dog proof traps

    • @coyotetrappingschool1575

Sure, length would be more of a consideration than diameter, softer ground would require a longer stake

Why not use disposable stakes like the Berkshire? Disposable is just a word, when I’m done trapping I just dig them out of the ground and reuse them.

Fnt trading Post or the snare shop are just a few places where you can get them at.

Wouldn't call a duck bad bicatch though. That would be an interesting one.

What do people do with the raccoon furs? It's been a long time since "Davy Crockett" was on TV, and people are crazy (as in psycho) about wearing fur, nowadays.

I can only use a 5"x5" body grip on land, a 220 has to be in a natural body of water whatever that means lol.
