  • We are delighted to announce that we will be taking part in February's Uniqlo Tate Late! If you have never been, get ready for an evening full of art, music, film, drop-in workshops and pop-up talks exploring a specific artist’s work. And all of that is completely free! As part of the event, we will be screening the best of 3 of our seasons, spanning the last six years.
(18.30-19.10) WINDRUSH GENERATIONS: Explores the lives of five generations of Londoners of Caribbean descent through short video portraits featuring Kenny Lynch and Dame Jocelyn Barrow.
(19.30-20.30) CENTURY: 10 WOMEN X 10 DECADES: Discover the lives of 10 pioneering, brave, funny and unique girls and women of London aged from 8 to 94, with one from each decade. Followed by a Q&A with 1000 Londoners creative directors and contributors.
(20.50-21.30) NIGHT CRAWLERS: In this collection of short documentaries Chocolate Films asks: who are the Londoners that come out at night? Meet from clubbers to cabaret artists to night workers of the city.

    ABOUT 1000 LONDONERS
This film is part of 1000 Londoners, a ten-year digital project which aims to create a digital portrait of a city through 1000 of the people who identify themselves with it. The profile contains a 3 minute film that gives an insight into the life of the Londoner, as well as their personal photos of London and some answers to crucial questions about their views on London life. Over the course of the project we aim to reveal as many facets of the capital as possible, seeing city life from 1000 points of view.
