@NintendoWideTelecastJapan that's a good point. And for indies. That opens up lots of opportunities for Devs. If I have to. I'll do digital. But ill also try my best to get a game physical best I can
If you buy digital games, you don't own the game, you've just payed the full price for a license. hypothetically speaking: If you bought a game from the PS-Store, and you delete the game for storage reasons, and a year later you try to download the game again, but Sony doesnt has a license any more for that specific game, you can't download it any more (small chance that this will happen, but still). You are not a owner of the game, you are the owner of a license. But if you bougth the physical version of the game, you are the owner of the game. This reason alone should be enough to buy physical copies. Plus ... you can't re-sell digital games or trade them in.
well nowadays, physical disks are just glorified keys anyway, they dont store much if not any of the game and they just act as a key to download and play the game. think about all those games that you get physical and then you get a fucking 30ish download
I laughed when he said dowoad a Game in a few minutes and showed Breath of the Wild. Nintendo systems take hours to download big games, the Switch would still take like at least half an hour to an hour for that shit
@@NottJoeyOfficial When I downloaded Watchdogs for Wii U (I know that all sounds terrible) I had to leave it on for multiple days before it finished. A lot comes from my terrible wifi, but Nintendo is also to blame.
True. I’m also a collector and I like looking and the cartridge and the box itself. I also don’t like the idea of someday breaking my console and being unable to save all of my data. Having a physical copy will save the games at least.
That's what I will probably do when I get the next console after the Switch. A mixture of digital and physical games. What could go wrong? Best of both worlds!
Physical. 1. Takes up less storage 2. Looks good on your shelf / collection 3. Can sell or exchange for another game 4. Cheaper 5. Tastes nice 6. Easy to digest What are we talking about again?
I have always found digital a lot cheaper except on the new releases, and for most of the games I buy them on sale. A quick example, the last 2 games that I bought were Yoku's Island Express and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. I paid $7.5 for Max The Curse of Brotherhood due to the Switch sale, its normal price is $15, in Amazon its normal price is $30 and it's possible to buy it used for $25, in Gamestop the preowned price is $20. I paid $10 for Koku's Island Express its normal price is $20, on Amazon its normal price is $40 but its on sale for $15. In Gamestop its pre-owned price is $20. ...and that's on USA (that has good retailers), in latinamerica retailers often increase the price around 50% for physical copies and some digital distributors(most notably Steam) decrease the price for digital games (for example, in Mexico the base price of Sunset Overdrive in Steam is $185MXN (around $10 USD) and in GamePlanet(the most important retailer of videogames, like the equivalent of GameStop) costs $999MXN, more than 5x the price).
I prefer physical games cause I like to keep a collection and as awful as this sounds, I'm pretty poor and when I can sell a game a game or 2 to get a meal for the family I will. But I dont like and do my best to avoid it. But I'm well aware that eventually physical will be phased out.
I support it because if want to play an Xbox 360 game it is better to play with a physical copy and a 360 atleast for me because I have a lot of storage issues on the 1 but none on 360 ever at least not yet. Plus some older games don't have any downloads on disc, and a related note you can't wrap up a digital product you can gift it but it won't be as cool to receive a present underneath your tree that says "check your messages."
I agree with you. When I was a child, I loved trading in my games at eb games Canada, to get trade in value, to use it towards new games or pre orders. As I am in my 20s, I much prefer buying digital games. Since I have a physical disability, I can not open the flap to put the switch games inside, so digital games on the switch the best and only way for to play and buy my games. Also, the fact that I pre order Smash 2 days before its release and I was able to download it and play it at 12:00 pm est. All and all, nothing wrong with my physical games or preferring them over digital. All I can say to you and everyone else who loves physical games is, enjoy it while you can because, soon, physical games will not be available and stores like eb games and GameStop will no longer be opened.
Buy some Nintendo games they always stay the same price for years and they will probably be the only company to do physical in the years to come. I say that's good eatin with dem nintendo games.
I'm 2 minutes in and this sounds like an advertisement for digital. If you were scratching or breaking games as a child, you just sound like a clumsy person. Never broke/scratched a game in my life.
Davemate sounds to me like a typical child me and my brother ruined soooo many games and I can remember going to friends how where we went to okay a game and it ended up not working. Not that we’re older obviously games don’t get ruined but kids have a talent for that.
@@juliac4974 Yeah, accidents happen I suppose. Digital games are good for that but I enjoy having physical copies makes it feel more like you actually own the game. Thanks for replying in a nice way, refreshing to see :D

Same here. But what do you do when they release a physical copy later? Do you buy the game again? I may sound stupid but if you're a collector it makes sense...
You can’t really say that physical games are done and not updated because a lot of physical games are able to be updated,. Take Super Mario Odyssey as an example, you could be the physical game and have a lot of things in it but when Nintendo added new things to the game, such as new costumes, Luigi’s ballon world etc. people with physical copies of the game also got that update which proves that physical and digital games are very similar with very few differences
What he meant by that was: in the old days, nobody had access to DLC updates because the internet wasn't a thing. They just release the game on cartridge/CD/DVD, and that was it. The only way developers could update games back then was to rerelease it. You see how Capcom handled the Street Fighter series back in the 90s, right? Nowadays, with the internet all but widespread (it ain't all over the world yet), most of us have easy access to those updates, whether we go physical or digital.
There’s a difference between taking care of the disc, and the fact that someday no matter how good of a caretaker you are, the disc will either become lost, deteriorate, or become lost to time. A digital file will never die, but a physical object will eventually be lost to time.
@@Goat0423 Goddamn it people if you're that bad at keeping track of it then get a box or something and keep it on your desk so even if it falls or gets lost or something then you will spot the big thing and the discs won't get scratched or anything because they are in the case o-o
Even if you take care of it it'll still deteriorate over time from handling/inserting/ejecting. Also not everyone plays the game themselves, some people have kids that'll inevitably fuck up the disc no matter how much you teach them to take care of it.
I like Physical games better, because: •It's nice to unwrap a brand new game from the plastic packet thing •It looks awesome when stored on the shelf •Uses much less memory. And apparently the SD cards for the Switch don't work well •The ability to sell the games
Good Sir , I have a switch, and a 128 GB SD card. That would, seem t be fine, right? NOPE. BOTW takes up 30 GB of storage. That’s a lot. The physical copies only take up 2.
@@Xylluk you... don't have to be connected to the Internet to play digital games. You only need Internet to download them, which is only inconvenient the moment you but them (though how that will be the case after you managed to access the eshop and buy a digital game is beyond me). And for the games that need Internet to play, you'll need it whether it's digital or physical so no loss there
I buy physical games. I don't like the thought, that a company can decide if I own a game or not just because I use their website. If I buy a game at the next Mediamarkt or Amazon, its MY game and nobody can ban me or take it away.
@Pinkamena Pie I don't care, because the data is in my hand and not on the server. No company can tell me when I can play this game and for how long. Besides that, my internet is shit and it would take days to download something.
@Pinkamena Pie yes, they have the rights for the game but they PRACTICALLY have no controll over it. It is really easy to take a copy from a game on a CD. You can't erease the files on a burned disc wich runs on a console that does not belong to the company that made the game. And not everyone uses the internet on their device, so the company cant delete ALL games if at all. Besides that, terms and condition has to be signed like you do it in Steam or Google Playstore. You have to accept them every time. If I walk into the next gamestop and buy a game this is not the case. I didn't sign anything and nobody warned me. THIS would be a highly illegal scam. It's like saying I bought a new microwave, but I only have the right to use it and ot does not belong to me. This is bullshit. I walk into a store, I take what I want and it belongs to me. Nobody can take my property. You could argue that games are intellectual property, but so are books, music and paintings and if I buy them there still mine. The only thing that I'm not allowed is to say that it is my work or to share it in public.
@Pinkamena Pie Do you see the irony of what your saying? Some games are unplayable without a patch? Some games aren't even complete on disc? There selling unfinished games. And people like you only pay for the rights to play those games ruin things from a cosumer perspective. This isn't some natural progression. This is the game companies slowing pushing the narrative that digital is the future. To slowly wein you from physical. And idoit cosumers eat it up because they look at from short term benefits. Convenient downloading. Never physically lost or broken. There not looking at the unforeseeable future. Bankrupt companies, server shutdowns, simply being banned from using the service for whatever reason. And not only can companies take games away legally, but more importantly they can EASILY do this. Yes perhaps legally even on disc were paying for the same right, but PRACTICALLY it fairly difficult to single me out and take my disc. But they get around this by selling an incomplete game, and downloading patch and/or integrating server support to closely with the game. AND on top of that digital cost the same as physical, even though it should be cheaper as they completely avoided the manufacturing cost. Yes there are exceptions, but that's the general rule. That alone should tell you how dishonest and money hungry these game companies have gotten.
I like discs because if you want to play an Xbox 360 game it is better to play with a physical copy and a 360 atleast for me because I have a lot of storage issues on the 1 but none on 360 ever at least not yet. I prefer cartridges due to how reliable it is. It's durable, loads faster than all disk based games, and doesn't necessarily require installation. Yes it's $10 more than disks, but it's absolutely worth it.
From a very young age I learned to clean and organize my things to look very well sitting on a shelf, like books I always loved to stand and run my finger through my collection on Nintendo games, and I still do, however there are some digital exclusive like Scott Pilgrim that there is no way around it but to own it that way.
I say physical because you have the game and you don't have to worry about losing the game if it digital I'm not disrespecting people who like digital but I always like physical copies of the games because what if you have weak internet connection so physical copy would be better choice ^^and to have a library of games you like to have a collection of games you want to play ^^ and you have it in hand ^_^
Plushmation Studios a digital library is a form of collection as well. I know physical collectors don’t see it that way but it still comes with a satisfying feeling of having a game collection.
Plushmation Studios I definitely prefer having a physical copy, except in the switch’s case. I just like having all of my games on the console so I don’t have to mess with bringing games on the go.
@@collinqs2541 true but everyone is different ^_^ and there nothing wrong weither they want physical or digital as long they enjoy the games they like ^^

Buy the Switch games physical. For some reason, the cartridge tastes really good. I mean not like candy but it is unnaturally sweet. I buy em for that.
Agreed. But to be fair, it will probably be a *long, long time* before they shut down the online servers of the Switch. They only shut down the Wii shop because it uses different servers to the 3ds, Wii U and Nintendo Switch (these 3 consoles use Nintendo Network). It was just most convenient.
You still have the games on your console and can play them even if they shut down the servers though so I don't see your point. I think it is safer digitally because physical cartridges can be lost and in that case, there is nothing you can do. On the other hand, if you lose your sd card or something you can just redownload the game (minus your save maybe) and it will still be ready to be played. If they shut down the servers AND you lose the sd card then you might have a problem though considering they haven't even shut down the server for 3ds it won't be anytime soon.
@@warship21 This. I never understand why people say you can't play a game after servers are deleted. As long as you don't delete the game or lose the SD card, you still have the game on the switch and can play at anytime.
@@warship21 while yes the games can be played without the server, the switch can fail, the file can corrupt, the sd can fail or be lost, and the game wont have any value as soon as you hit purchase on your switch. Physical games can be kept, and you physically own it. It can be traded, borrowed, or sold as any other property you own. So yes while youre less likely to lose your games in the short run, you sacrifice having real worth in a game, and the ability to play on another switch when the servers leave.
You can make multiple copies of a digital game and have it forever, you only get one copy of a physical game and if it gets stolen or a friend "loses" it after you let them borrow it.....
I love seeing the look of my discs on my shelf personally. Also I am very careful with my content so why would I have to worry about breaking discs. Also I don't specifically trust digital downloads. I have had friends that have had hard drives corrupted so they have lost it.
@@untested3344 You pirate the games, which you can do more easily on PC, with all the day 1 updates and patches and DLC even with physical games you won't have a good thing for preservation for most games, so piracy in the future is the only way you'll be able to play most games, physical or digital.
@@NottJoeyOfficial Acept I don't have a computer even close to that power to run it and never will. Also at that point I'd rather have cartridge so I a least have physical item out of my money I can sell at anytime of my life instead it just corrupting away. I'll pass and stick with my physical media.
My choice, I do both. There’s something cool about the idea that I own this copy I have, rather than signing a contract to use it when I download it. If Nintendo ever decided to cut support for the eShop for the Switch, or Assassin’s Creed 3 gets taken off, I like the idea that I can still play. However, there’s also a cool idea of having all my games together on one console and not having to worry if I lose my Switch Case, I lose all my games as well. So if I But digital to begin with, but if I happen to go to my local store and get a great deal (for me, if it’s more than $30, I’d rather buy a full priced game), and finds Smash Bros for $20 (Real Story) I’ll buy it.
If you move constantly, carrying hundreds of physical games can be problematic. Also, if the console in turn is a handheld, carrying tens of physical games can be a bad idea, because they can be easily lost or stolen. Lastly, customs can be problematic if you want to pass with lots of physical games, but with digital games there is no problem with customs. It's ironic that the only consoles that can still play physical games without installing copying all the data to the console are the handhelds (the ones where there could be more reasons to go digital).
@@NottJoeyOfficial I don't have a room like that but I have lots of games(10s physically and 100s digitally) and is not that great because I can only play one at the same time and I have limited time, making pointless to have that much, also the Paradox of Choice(look for that in Wikipedia if you don't know what means) makes me hard to be satisfied with a particular game and I end leaving unfinished most of them.
I think the Wii’s discs are pretty indestructible. I have Mario Kart Wii from when I got my first Wii about 10 years ago; I played it a ton, I still do, and the disc still works. The discs outlast the consoles. I went through 2 consoles with that disc.
Lucky you! My smash bros brawl copy doesn't work on my Wii anymore, and that goes for any new Brawl game I pop in. What the fuck did my nephews do to my disc?
I like physical copies, especially when you get extra stuff, ex: Pokemon gives figures/key-chains/ etc, My collectors Hakuoki psp game: art book/sound tract cd. also I like having the case for cover art.
I remember dreaming as a kid about the day all my games would be in one convenient place. Needless to say, once digital became an option, I never looked back
I was about to buy shovel knight, but then I learned there was a physical release being released in April. Keep in mind, this physical release is 15 more dollars, but I'm willing to pay for that for a physical copy. I love looking at the game cases on my shelf and watching my collection grow.
I personally like to collect Digital Games more than Physical Games. Mainly because I personally don't have enough space to store hundreds of physical games.
Physical. I spent a week waiting for the payment for LGPE to go through, and after the pending charge dropped I bought the physical copy and was playing the same afternoon. Only buy digital if it's not a game you really want, or there are other benefits to digital payments.
Physical -Can lose them (specially if they're as small as the switch cartridge) -Get damaged easily (Specially with little kids around) -Can be sold out when wanted -Take up space on your shelf (not that much of a problem) +Take up no storage space +Can be sold if wanted to Digital -Take up storage space (Can be resolved with sd cards) -Can't be sold +Can be purchased in your own home +Can't be damaged or broken physically +Can't get lost +Sometimes cheaper and/or earlier than physical copies
@@shinygatorguy6070 LMFAO WHAT? I'll just sign in to my account on the new console and have access to all my games again. Are you dumb or just stuck in 2001?
I really appreciate that you go into the positives of digital downloads as well as the growing impracticality of physical media I do think we need to tone down drm but it's a problem that's bigger than just digital downloads I'll keep buying physical copies of games I really like, but I have no problem with digital downloads making up the majority of my library
Physical. I love collecting them, seeing them on my self, and knowing they can't be taken away from me. Also internet sucks here. I do buy a few digital games, but not on steam. Usually GOG. Though I wish mods were easier to do on GOG.
I'm liking the direction your channel's going with variety content! Keep up the good work, your vids are still really good even if you feel some are a little out of your comfort zone!
I think it's good we have both options, and I hope it stays that way. However ignoring a few exceptions, I generally prefer physical. I think there's actually far less risk with physical, because if you take enough care make sure they are well kept (literally just putting games back in their case when not in use) and well organised, you reduce the likelihood of losing or breaking games. And I'm more scared of being locked out of a certain account and losing access to multiple games at once.
You can still buy physical paper Books, Movies, TV shows on physical DVD Blu-ray disc, still making physical CD music... hell in some case they are still making physical vinyl records! And you know why? Not everyone in the world are online pick any third world country and you'll fine many people are not on the internet and until they can fine a way to have everyone online they will never stop making physical songs, movies or games.
I mean both Physical and Digital have their Pros and Cons. Physical Copies can be used on other consoles rather than just your own (Ex: you can use a switch Game on other Nintendo Switches) And Digitals Cannot be scratched and will always work and have no problems of a disc not playing. But their cons are kind of like their pros but switched with each other. Physicals can be scratched Digitals cannot be played on more than one Console (Now you might be thinking, why would you want to put games on different Consoles?)
TheMega Greninja There’s more problems with digital than that, but physical copies do need to get rid of the disc system. Something like Nintendo where you have the cartridge and don’t have to worry about anything.
@@rusty8311 there's still the connectors that can get dirty if you touch them too much. A friend of mine had her copy of AlphaSapphire stop working because of something wrong with the connectors on the cart. I'm not sure if she's tried cleaning it tho, but yeah. Just touch the plastic parts and you should be good to go.
Fiera the Proud true true. But that kind of thing can be avoidable like you said. Plus the 3DS cartridges are not as good as the switch ones. The switch cartridge lining on the back you almost have to try and touch in order to touch it. When I touch my discs/cartridges, I am very careful so that’s probably why I never had that problem. At least with cartridges, discs I always seem to mess up even if I don’t touch them lol
I’ll reiterate a couple of points to shatter digital versions; one was mentioned in this video: The wii servers are gone. Good luck reinstalling those wii ware. 2) Steam no longer suppors xp and vista. Your older PCs just lost access to older games.
#teamPhysical what are you going to do when the server's shut down or the shop to download your games is out of commission? And what about the games that DONT receive the digital treatment from Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft? Also, I have piss-poor internet in terms of it dropping for several hours of the day, so playing offline is a big thing for me. I don't have the luxury of knowing my connection would be stable enough to download an 80GB game Edit: I also rip my game discs and dump my game cartridges. Where are you to preserve your own history, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft??
I can sell my physical games if I want. Digital in the other side is not that easy to sell. And those sd cards are very expensive. I still with physical unless they put digital halve price or something.
Honestly I love my physical copies. Having the cases fills me with joy, I'm a collector and I love seeing my collection. Digital just doesn't seem as impressive of a collection, I hold the same idea for books
+ I think once you’ve got 20 titles on the switch you can’t showcase anymore , one thing I do wish they had digitally was some customisation for the Home Screen at least for the back ground , even if you had to own a title for a background I’d be down
Kind of depends. PC physical games have not only been a pain to deal with over the years (several discs, CD keys, long installs, etc), but Steam also pulled millions of people in with insane sales.
These are exactly my thoughts, what’s the point of buying such a small game cartridge, which is very easy to lose, when you could just buy the game digitally and not have to worry about losing it? My mom thinks otherwise though, she always scolds me for buying the game digitally. Personally, she thinks that digital games should cost less because they don’t come with the box or cartridge. I do agree with this to some extent, but really the only reason I buy digital games is because I’m too lazy to leave my couch.
Depends what game, the best games feel great to hold and I know I’ll never lose them if my data corrupts, but games I don’t like as much I’d rather go digital. Saves me the time.
Me too same reason i lost all my ps4 games! Still theres thing like PS Classic which have Digital but cannot be removed thats a plus for me! Its cute and small! Still testi g fps looks great! With retroArch without PSN accsess irs better just like old days put disc in wait for loading screen Playstation 2 logo pop in your in! Mush better times!
While I like buying discs as much as possible, honestly sometimes it makes full sense to buy a digital copy. I recently bought Spider-Man PS4 with all the dlc on the playstation store for a lot less than it would take to buy the disc and then the dlc separately. However, I also just bought a physical disc of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey at a deeply discounted sale price of just $30 and I can get the season pass digitally and be still under the full retail price of the game alone. I feel like this will become more common as time goes forward.
Help me decide Physical-Can be used when console is broken and you get a new one, can be lost or damaged Digital-wait for download, not damagable, lost if switch is broken. Which do u get?
Actually i do both cause digital cant be lost. Cause if you lose the gamecard. You spent 90 freaking dollars. If you get it digitally you keep tye game forever. Dont talk about the switch breaking cause i still have a super nintendo from 1990 that works perfectly

Same because some games I am to scared to break and lose the physical copy and I have games that don’t have a physical copy but I don’t want to buy another micro sd card for a digital
Physical all the way. Licensing out games digitally is risky. For consoles, especially Nintendo absolutely not. Nintendo does not guarantee your purchases digitally in anyway. If your system is bricked you're buying everything again. Very scummy. Besides crappy practices severs marketplaces also close when systems become last gen. All those ps3 Games you bought digitally will be gone when they inevitably shut down the servers to cut costs. With digital purchases you're essentially buying a license to play the product rather than the actual game. Steam is slightly better but it's still on unstable ground given the nature of buisness's and bankruptcy. In a sense even steam is guaranteed. With physical games I can allways be certain that I own the game and can play it how many times I want without it being tied down to my system.
@@hobbyboundcat6713 The Switch has cloud saves, so most of your games should be safe (they're being dumb with Splatoon 2, but that's one game.) scarlett bury, it’s called a lease when you get a digital game. If the company ends your lease or drops support, OOF. GONE. Physical game, on the other hand, cannot have their support dropped.

I just like to look over at a shelf full of games and say, “Ahh. This is the life.”
Physical.
1. Takes up less storage
2. Looks good on your shelf / collection
3. Can sell or exchange for another game
4. Cheaper
5. Tastes nice
6. Easy to digest
What are we talking about again?
Do what?
I was calculating the best meal choices within my budge-
Wait where are we?
All good except the selling it part.
Wha? Physical will always be more expensive new.
@@sonickid1548 No, I see a lot of Switch games cheaper physically
Even Smash Bros Ultimate was in my country cheaper physically than digitally

Same here. But what do you do when they release a physical copy later? Do you buy the game again? I may sound stupid but if you're a collector it makes sense...
dipresscion you can buy Undertale physically
Nobody Knows so once support ends u wont be able to the game if it is downloaded
very few differences? Sell or trade that digital copy, c'mon...I'll wait.

Jesus christ it's not that hard to take care of your discs..

•It looks awesome when stored on the shelf
•Uses much less memory. And apparently the SD cards for the Switch don't work well
•The ability to sell the games
Good Sir , I have a switch, and a 128 GB SD card. That would, seem t be fine, right? NOPE. BOTW takes up 30 GB of storage. That’s a lot. The physical copies only take up 2.

@@dnsjtoh what the hell. Zelda is not more than 16 or something like that, or even less.
And with physical games you don't have to be connected to the internet to play
@@Xylluk you... don't have to be connected to the Internet to play digital games. You only need Internet to download them, which is only inconvenient the moment you but them (though how that will be the case after you managed to access the eshop and buy a digital game is beyond me). And for the games that need Internet to play, you'll need it whether it's digital or physical so no loss there
I buy physical games. I don't like the thought, that a company can decide if I own a game or not just because I use their website. If I buy a game at the next Mediamarkt or Amazon, its MY game and nobody can ban me or take it away.
You can always pay and download a cracked copy, unless you're on a console, then.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Pinkamena Pie thank you for being the only one who actually understands how this works
I prefer disks due to vanity and and trivial ownership it just feels good to own a disc.
I like discs because if you want to play an Xbox 360 game it is better to play with a physical copy and a 360 atleast for me because I have a lot of storage issues on the 1 but none on 360 ever at least not yet. Plus some older games don't have any downloads on disc, and a related note you can't wrap up a digital product you can gift it but it won't be as cool to receive a present underneath your tree that says "check your messages."
I prefer cartridges due to how reliable it is. It's durable, loads faster than all disk based games, and doesn't necessarily require installation. Yes it's $10 more than disks, but it's absolutely worth it.

Physically to save memory.
Buy the Switch games physical. For some reason, the cartridge tastes really good. I mean not like candy but it is unnaturally sweet. I buy em for that.
Tf?
I really hope you aren’t being serious
Physical all the way. You own the game no matter what happens to the online servers
They can just download them again and many games have cloud saves, so that's not really a huge argument against digital downloads
@@NottJoeyOfficial What happens when the servers are down and your harddrive corrupts.
Nott Joey what happens when you want to sell your digital game? You can’t 💀
Physical so I can sell/trade the game in when I'm done with it
It's a topic for irl space vs console space
Digital = Console space
Physical = IRL space
theres also haveing the library effect when you have a sizable colection for multiple consoles. think The AVGN room but actaullly possible.
It is my dream to have a massive game room full of shelves lined with games
An SD card can fit multiple games while a game cartridge for something like a switch can fit 1, not including a box...

I mean both Physical and Digital have their Pros and Cons.
Physical Copies can be used on other consoles rather than just your own (Ex: you can use a switch Game on other Nintendo Switches)
And Digitals Cannot be scratched and will always work and have no problems of a disc not playing.
But their cons are kind of like their pros but switched with each other.
Physicals can be scratched
Digitals cannot be played on more than one Console
(Now you might be thinking, why would you want to put games on different Consoles?)
TheMega Greninja There’s more problems with digital than that, but physical copies do need to get rid of the disc system. Something like Nintendo where you have the cartridge and don’t have to worry about anything.

Ps. Just heard at the end you say it’s your first time doing a video like this. Personally, love it. Wishing you great posts in 2019!!
Depends what game, the best games feel great to hold and I know I’ll never lose them if my data corrupts, but games I don’t like as much I’d rather go digital. Saves me the time.
Am I the only one who notices how the hair in front of his face keeps getting in the way of his eyes like at 1:45
No you are not the only one 😂
Yh lol look at 6:10
It's an anime style. Anime characters have a strand of hair intentionally in front of their face.
He qt
He needs a haircut it's fucking annoying I used to have hair like that in high school ,😂😂
Oops, I bought a game online by mistake because my hair got in eyes while trying to back out. LOL
PSN Account got Banned lost my games (Because Jailbroken PS3 to play my PS2 Disc)
Now im Sticking to Physical
Me too same reason i lost all my ps4 games!
Still theres thing like PS Classic which have Digital but cannot be removed thats a plus for me!
Its cute and small!
Still testi g fps looks great! With retroArch without PSN accsess irs better just like old days put disc in wait for loading screen Playstation 2 logo pop in your in!
Mush better times!
Pretty sure the reason you got banned is because you were a bad boy
fair point. If you are going to do something that you know a company wont like then you go physical all the way
I buy both
physical: to get out of the house to have fresh air and to have more storage on my consoles
Digital: when I'm bored
sorry we're not all millionaires
@@jadedragon5541 get your money up
6:06 this dude sounds so smart with that fast but smart vocabulary
Spooky Phanpy ad trap
You look like that one dude who also reviewed games in black mirror: bandersnatch
Yay! I got an ad on this video
Hey man! This is the first video I’ve watched from you and I liked the style a lot!
Keep it up!
Help me decide
Physical-Can be used when console is broken and you get a new one, can be lost or damaged
Digital-wait for download, not damagable, lost if switch is broken.
Which do u get?
Actually i do both cause digital cant be lost. Cause if you lose the gamecard. You spent 90 freaking dollars. If you get it digitally you keep tye game forever. Dont talk about the switch breaking cause i still have a super nintendo from 1990 that works perfectly
Is that ftl music?
God damn I can respect that.
4:09 ya I have 1,600 hours on TF2 and I never realized I bought much stuff for it on steam until one day I looked at my steam purchase history and added up like $350 just on TF2 I was like ... Woa! I didn’t even knew I had that kind of money! 😆
I stumbled upon your channel the other day when this video appeared in the home tab on my phone, and let's just say: instant sub!!! I love the way you presented this info amigo.
Some stores will even sell empty boxes if you buy a download code. In the UK, they give you a Stardew Valley case when you buy the download.
TEAM PHYSICAL!!! Unless it's an only digital game I always stay physical
I’m both a physical and digital guy
Same because some games I am to scared to break and lose the physical copy and I have games that don’t have a physical copy but I don’t want to buy another micro sd card for a digital
I have 100s of terabytes of digital games. I also have bookshelves of games
??? ??? What? When your console is bricked, I presume you can just login to another switch right? Well I only buy physical so I don’t really care
@@Mopsie 3ds last time I checked no. Switch I'm unsure. I doubt Nintendo did a 180 on their policies in a few years. But still I'm unsure.
@@hobbyboundcat6713 The Switch has cloud saves, so most of your games should be safe (they're being dumb with Splatoon 2, but that's one game.) Also, wait, I understand that at some point you can't buy a digital game when the shop shuts down, but how do I lose a game I already have downloaded to the system?
@@apexultimo if your system breaks at some point.
@@hobbyboundcat6713 Okay, fair enough. But if you take proper care of your system, and it doesn't have hardware faults, it's not an issue, right?
My friends: PFFFT, PHYSICAL ALL THE WAY. Hey... where did my Splattoon 2 cartridge go?
Me:... digital
This video is absolutely amazing and I hope your other videos are to the same level of quality - you just earned a new sub .
“A few minutes of download later”
Yea sure, more like 5 hours
*cut to GTA 5*
Digital is so much easier. The excitement when it downloads , how easy it is to switch games and also my console disc drive broke
But don't you enjoy having a physical thing?
My disc drive broke too, luckily all my games are downloaded so I don't need to get a new xbox 😊
Twistymoo the playstation is the physical thing, made cooler by digital things . Finding your scratchy fingerprint covered disc is just hassle
@@noodledoodle07 you just don't abuse your discs
scarlett bury, it’s called a lease when you get a digital game. If the company ends your lease or drops support, OOF. GONE. Physical game, on the other hand, cannot have their support dropped.
Don’t forget about the people who Christmas shop. It’s better to get a psychical copy of a game and wrap it up, and give for Christmas instead of just going “Hey, let me use my bank account to download this for you on Christmas Day while you watch it download”
FireDolphin 2211 lol
I always try to get my games physically, because I greatly value having a beautiful shelf of boxes, and if my Nintendo switch explodes on September 17th and there’s no time to renew my membership, I still at least have my games. But they’re useless without my data so fuck it.
This video had some interesting new points I hadn't heard before
Physical media forever😊
No thanks, I still prefer my physical game collection.
8:09 That is a bad and a good thing
My grandmother's poorly trained dog snuck his way into my room, found my unzipped switch case and bit my copies of 1, 2 Switch, Pokémon Tekken and Skyrim. The first two I wasn't so upset about, but I couldn't believe that mutt destroyed Skyrim. Had the cartridges not been coated in that bitter substance, the dog would have likely choked too.
That experience was a complete turn off, and is why I only buy digital now.
The fact that this guy is my age and looks like a teen is the most shocking par of this video lmao bro I need your diet plan
I do 10% physical games 90% digital on my Xbox
I have 30 games
