I played AP Smolder back in URF. It was alright.
That was one of the fastest 80% stacking of a mejai's I've seen in my life. Time to attempt to replicate it in ranked with the same build. Thank you Dark Mane

I love to play ap Smolder.
The build that is good right now is:
-buy a sheen (don’t upgrade it until later)
-buy new ap burn item
-buy ah boots
-buy lich (upgrade sheen)
-buy liandry
-buy rabadon
-situational (zonyas, if they stack armor maybe LDR, morello is also good, if want full dmg riftmaker or HF)
Why would you’d want LDR if they stack armor ? You’re AP, playing with burn and LDR is supposed to be bought in case enemies stack hp right ?

LDR now just give crit, ad and armor pen.
Even with my build you dmg still is mostly ad (skills scale with ap but deal ad dmg)
-60%ad
-20%ap
-20%true
LDR has really good stats for Smolder if enemy stack armor
(And the deal bonus dmg to people with more health than you passive, is gone)
That’s why darkmane build is not as optimal (magic pen is practically useless with Smolder)

I don't know about building Shadowflame on a champion that deals most of his damage through physical damage... Like sure, the stacks give some magic damage to his Q, W and E, but when you use your R as the long range move to finish someone off, the one move that doesn't deal ANY magic damage, idk if you want the item that makes magic damage crit on low health enemies.
But that's just me, loved the video, keep it up

I'll have to take Darkk's word that it's the best build since I stopped playing before Smolder came out (jungle was killed, and Vanguard means I'm not ever coming back)
When little Darkk Mane was introduced I got shivers, then he introduced littler Darkk Mane and I thought this masterpiece couldn't get any better, by the time he said his iconic line "it's Smolding time" I couldn't hold back my tears

i love how the most damaging part about this build according to him is the ult, yet the AD damage of the ult is 750+ versus the AP ratio of 120+ (sometimes but mostly)
i can concur we all have some form of brain damage when it comes to this game
i havent seen a darkkmane video in SO long
edit: when smolder first came out i spent like 3hr in practice tool with him, he needs like 500+ stacks for ap to be better than ad (probably outdated since his stacks have been changed, but, ap does deal more after a certain stack point)
Some people would complain about being sewed for a thousand milion dollars, i for one am just happy to support Mr. Mane with a hundred trillion million dollars.
Hopefully he can buy trundles club back in the future.
Tbh, I build Liandrys and Shadowflame coz the burn scales better with ap, and also crits so yeah, I will keep playing him Dark Mane

Part of me hoped the video would just end with like 75 stacks and he'd never bring up the last milestone. Not all goals are reached. Also man, even the worst record from lies of P is still a banger.
I thought for sure when Littler Darkkmane was introduced that he would end up in Little Darkkmane's mouth at the end. My disappointment is immense.
