I made this today, substituted tomato paste with medium salsa and use organic plain yogurt and paired it with your Med. Brown rice recipe and steamed Asparagus in a butter and basil sauce. My husband loved it! He literally said it was the best meal of his life. Thanks!

I'm from Baghdad, wee cook this on weekend BBQs. I add red pepper paste instead of tomato sauce. It's color is lighter and the taste is light too.

I made this yesterday, marinated it while we went out for a couple hours and then my husband and I came home and were so hungry! My husband decided he wanted to add to our dinner so he made his from home recipes for rice and some Ayran...as well as some turkish condiments and we had a beautiful dinner. I am so happy to do this for him as he misses his Mother's cooking from Turkey. Although I will probably never cook like her, at least I have the basics down to make a delicious meal. I am hooked!

Thanks so much for this recipe it was super easy & fun to make! I made it with Cabot Greek yogurt instead out using Mediterranean yogurt because I couldn't find it, It look a little lighter red then yours maybe because of the different yogurt I used & it still came out great!

Thank you so much for these recipes dedemed! My girlfriend and I also live in Montreal, and love Amir and shish taouk in general. Ive been looking for a recipe for it and the garlic sauce now for a while. We tried it tonight, and it didnt turn out as thick as it should be.. it was a little thinner than ceasar salad dressing. (We dont have a proper blender. Only a manual one that we have to turn ourselves.)

Great Recipe!! I grew up around Dearborn MI and love Shish Tawook. Some restaurants had the option of a Lemon Oregano sauce over top the chicken. I can't find the recipe anywhere. I was hoping you may be able to shed some light. Thanks so much!!
