I just got a Culligan RO system for the kitchen sink. I'm very happy with it. The salesperson for Culligan said that for people that can't afford RO systems, the Zero Water pitcher is good.

Does that’s interfere with the amount of water you use? Like would you ever have to wait for the water to filter?

@@kerriuttaro6153 it has a very large holding tank under the sink. At least 3-5 gallons. So if I completely empty that within a short time, it would need some time to filter more. It hasn't been a problem yet and I drink a lot and use the water for cooking and a humidifier too.

    Hey Dr. Gundry,
You explained it briefly but I’m still a little confused. Is spring water better than R.O. water? I believe spring water gets a UV treatment instead of reverse osmosis. Can you help clear this up for me? I’m constantly traveling and I unfortunately have to stick to bottled water for now (hopefully it’s temporary). Buying glass water bottles is getting expensive. 😅
    Thank you!
Longtime listener. I was just talking to my wife about the episode you did with your wife a while back and she wants to listen to all of the inspiring stories you both shared.

What's worse flouride or micro plastics? Cause some plastic water bottles contain no flouride and they use reverse osmosis to clean the water. While most counter top filters won't remove flouride. They use more advance filtration on water bottles.

Water bottles are worse. They have BPA and other BPA related chemicals which cause xenoestrogens to get into the body and wreck hormones. Some filters like the "long last Filter" at Sam's club works. As long as my water is cleaner than the sink at least a little bit with mo estrogenic chemicals then I'm happy.

Just curious, can particle and RO filters shed more plastic into the water than they remove? Water can be in contact with plastic elements and housings a long time between demands. Has anyone actually checked? Nearly all water on ships is produced through RO so it might be interesting to see if ship's crew have higher level son microplastics than populations that get their water from deep wells.

I have no idea that people who lives in the hard water area have better heart health! Almost twenty years ago we moved from lake water area to a town that uses town wheal water that has hard water. Unaware of its effect and the need of water softener in the area our dishwasher completely clogged up and broke down while the pipes began to clog up with scale build up all over the washrooms and faucets. I did some research regarding water softener and ended up using a Water Descaler that breaks down the Calcium and Magnesium scepters to prevent the mineral bonding process through electro magnetic frequency while keeping the water hard with its original minerals. The scales in the washroom and faucets went away; however, I was still wondering how well it really worked throughout the entire house since we no longer have a dishwasher to show the difference. It only took 10 minutes to install without any tools needed at the source of the water pipe into the house. An year after our rental hot water heater tank broke down and I was wondering if it was caused by the hard water and the Water Descaler may not be enough to do the job; however, the maintance person showed up and pull out the heating rod and it was perfectly clean without any trace of scale and tank was simply broken. The maintenance person was baffled since we do not have a water softener installed and he had never heard of Water Descaler in his 30ya in the hot water tank business in our area. Least to say that we have no hard water scale build up issue since we installed the first unit and it actually descaled all the scales in the system throughout the entire house with an yearly electricity cost of $7.00 drawing 5W/h only to operate it. five years later, I added a second unit onto the out going hot water pipe from the hot water tank to descale the heated water and have both units plugged into a backup battery unit as a safety measure and both running well still since. We only use a basic Britta water filter pitcher to filter our drinking water now and it's good to know that that one can have the cake and eat it as well.
