Red Inflamed Ear:Temporary Home Remedies
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 лип 2011
- Red, inflamed ears are one of the most common problems in dogs. Allergies to food, pollens and molds, hairy ear canals, and swimming causes frequent ear infections in many dogs. This video shows some helpful home remedies you can use to help with the discomfort. I have found that many ear infections can be helped or cured by following my tips in the Dog Dish Diet. Use caution when treating or flushing an inflamed ear. The ear drum could be damaged or ruptured. Always seek veterinary treatment for painful or serious infections. This video is intended to be helpful with mild ear problems

Not everyone can afford a vet, and the pet suffers. That is not fair to the poor animal.I hope to help where I can.
Bless you and thank you Dr Greg
Thank u!!
Can I use this remedy on a cat?
i once asked a vet some question and they said they cannot help without paying for appointment. makes me think how can they care about animals. and you share and give people a way to help their dog you share with the world thousands of people who love their dogs but cant get to doctor or some reason financial or other reasons. you are so awesome!
Shell shelle My pup had all the symptoms of Parvo. I called the Vet to ask her opinion and if there was anything I could do at home to treat her until I could get the money to bring her to the office($380). She said "no, there's nothing you can do at home." Infuriated and scared, I quickly researched the topic and followed through with what I'd learned. I mixed Charcoal tablets with water and started force feeding it every 2 hours. I also made a Vitamin C/Pedialyte mixture that gave 3-4 times daily and about 4-6 times daily forced a dropper full of purified water into her mouth. She kept her mouth closed tight and fought me every time, but by the next day she was taking them like a champ. It was a miracle. She went from being on the verge of death to eating broths and soft foods in 48 hours and recovered completely in about 1 week.
I had dogs die on me cuz the vets wouldn't help with simple solutions that I now know. Could have saved them due to utube it. Hurts my heart to know they suffered cuz of these vets and angers me all for the almighty dollar was more important 😠
We need cheaper pet care for sure in this country
The soapy water can be used twice weekly, but the vinegar water can be used daily for 2 weeks. The aspirin and benadryl is for pain and inflammation and can be used for a few days to a week
Thank you so much for this video..I was running out of ideas and started to feel like a bad dog owner because i coundn't afford to take him to the vet..thanks again
I shared the same fear that a lot of dog owners probably share; You love your dog and hate to see him/her uncomfortable. But you're to scared to go to the vet because even just a consultation is expensive. So I tried all types of USELESS items from the pet stores. I even tried just vinegar and alcohol which I later learned can make your dog even more uncomfortable. I just watched this video for the first time and luckily I had everything you said minus the aspirin already available at home which worked out great because it was 4 in the morning. I used warm water, baby soap, vinegar, hydrocortisone, and Claritin Redi-tabs (Which, as expected, he had no problem eating as is, by the way). And I mean instantly....INSTANTLY after finishing following your instructions my dog went from irritated and uncomfortable, to happy and grateful (as I would assume by the way he jump on me and started licking me, panting franticly). I just want to thank you a million times for your help! I know it's a temporary fix, but just to see him getting a good night's rest as he is doing now makes me feel better. And I owe that to you. I can tell you're knowledgeable and you love what you do because to share this information is a gift. So you have a new fan/subscriber out of me and I definitely plan on watching some more of your video for some tips. Keep up the good work!
Sho Ballotti He is Wonderful!!

Omgoodness 💕 I'm so happy your video popped up! I had a stray I picked up. He had a nasty double ear infection... and almost 7 months later, we are still fighting to clear it up. I feel so bad for him. I'll do the 2 syringe methods in video then use his prescribed ear drops 💗 Thank you so much!! Just subbed
Thank you... It's like 3 am and this help my best friend/dog with her issue and now we are going to make this better
*Thank you for your very helpful videos. I am on a very low, fixed income now, & cannot afford a vet for things I can do myself at home. I'll be doing exactly what you're shown here in reference to the ear infection. Thanks so much!!*
You didn't have to do this but you did and I thank you for that! My dog was whining, scratching his ear and shaking his head this evening and seemed too uncomfortable to go to sleep. I looked in his ear I saw alot of black wax and figured he must have a yeast infection. I have all the products you mentioned available at home so I took your advice and 1 hour later he is not scratching and was able to go to sleep. I'm taking him to the vet first thing in the morning just incase it isn't anything severe. I can go to bed now knowing he can at least get some rest until then. Thank you so much for making this video!
So refreshing to find a vet who cares enough to give home remedies.I ditched mine after they said they don't discuss anything non medical!I just took on a puppy mill mum and they were only concerned about making $ off me.good on u...from australiaxo
Thank you so much for your wonderful video Dr. Martinez. I love my little dogs and cats with all my heart and any natural remedies I can use to help heal them of what is hurting them is wonderful. My little Dusty, a golden retriever is in pain with an ear infection. I am glad that I am going to help him feel better using your remedies tonight. :)

Really good advice! My Shihtzu has had a few ear problems and I'm very glad that there's something that I can try and do about it before I take him to the vet! Thank you!
My shih tzu is the same!
You can use Benadryl at 1mg per pound and use cortisone in the ears. See a vet if really red, painful,or lots of discharge
Greg Martinez DVM thanks so much sir.
can i use kirklands Hydrocortisone cream on my dog? basically any hydrocortisone is fine? thanks
Nice Video clip! Sorry for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about - Patlarny Proper Cure Principle (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great one off guide for Curing your Yeast Infection without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my close friend Aubrey got cool success with it.
K

Thank you so much doctor! 🤘🏻
thank you thank you thank you and thank you
thanks for the video, my dog seems to feel much better Thanks again
thank you sooo much .
Thank you, very informative and practical. I always wondered about aspirin for dogs. Some great types here.
Very helpful
awesome vet!!
Showed this method to my mom because her pug constantly gets ear infections and yeast infections on top of his head. At the time he had an ear infection and had scratched some small wounds on the top of his head because of it. We cleaned his ears with this method and applied cortisone ointment. She continued daily treatment of his ears and kept the scratches clean for a week. The wounds healed up and the infection went away!
From watching your other videos, I told her it might be a food allergy causing the reaccuring infections (he kept getting them atleast once a month). We switched him over to a non-gluten diet and he has yet to get another ear or yeast infection! Thanks so much for your home remedies and a how to video! You've saved my mom a lot of vet visits!
Glad to help!! Changes in the diet can really help cure ear infections!!
Home cooking can make the coat even better! dogdishdiet.com
@dehbee A little wax on the outside of the ear is normal. If the ears are not red and not bothering a dog, it is best to leave them be. Some dogs never need their ears cleaned. Some dogs produce more wax or have hairy ear canals and could use a ear rinse twice weekly. When a dog has red inflamed ears, and lots of goopy waxy discharge they can be flushed and medicated as shown then treated with the appropriate medication. What you are doing is just right.
Thanks
This doc is a bad ass
So cute. I have tried these steps, but I never tried the soap before the Vinegar rinse. Thank you
The solution Dr. Martinez shows for inflamed dog ear in the video sounds like a great solution! I have another solution that works for my small Havanese and she gets an ear infection several times a year. My mother, a nurse, used to pour a little Hydrogen Peroxide (cost maybe $2 at the pharmacy) into our infected ears as children and massage it for a few minutes ...then she would let it drain out my laying on the sore ear.
I remembered her doing this and tried it on my little Havanese instead of going to the ER vet one weekend and after doing it 2 times during the day...then one more time the next day, her infected year was healed. This has saved me a lot of vet bills. So now you have another natural solution to an inflamed dogs ear!
Lynn Burrows doesn’t the undiluted hydrogen peroxide hurt the dog? Mine went crazy with diluted H2O2.
This is awesome
This really worked. Thank you for the great advice Dr. Greg, My dog shade thanks you too,
dominickhs Glad it helped!! Remember to go "Grain Free" in food and treats!
This really helped my dog who had a very red inflamed ear on a Friday night (this evening). Thanks so much for your help for those of us who
want to help our dog get relief at least until we can get them to a vet. So thankful that you have the compassion to post such helpful videos like this !

Remember, you'll never cure a labs ear problems without stopping all wheat products and following the advice of the Dog Dish Diet. I use rice vinegar 1:10

Thank you for your video it was great! :)
Thank u Dr u r Gr8 God bless!!
10-4 bro ...thank you
Doctor Martinez THANK YOU! so much for this video, this worked 100% on my pitty. the only thing (in my case was) the next after noon he had developed bumps on top of this head and face and his face was stiff/swollen. which of coarse i freaked out thinking am a horrible pet mom, i just should have taken him to the vet. well once i calmed down i said wait let me look at his ear, the ear looked 90% normal just like his other ear he wasn't pulling away when i touched his ear. so I decide to give him a bath and sure enough the bumps were the build up wax/mucus I guess was leaking out during the night/morning and got stuck to his fur. and his face was a little swollen from him scratching
your the best
My hero!!!!!
