Rest in Peace beautiful Peter
GOD BLESS PETER TORK - - up there in Heaven - - love from your pal forever -- Joe Nania
Happy Heavenly 80th Birthday Peter!
Cried when they played this song at the Mike and Mickey show.
What a wonderful memory of Peter...miss him so much! He was such a sweet and lovely man!
This man was blessed with talent. RIP Peter. The world misses you. Thank you for what you left us - smiles, laughs and inspired musicianship! The world is grateful to have had you!
Beautiful!! Thank you Peter!
How beautiful. I hope Peter knew how much his fans loved him, and how grateful we are for the music and the many laughs. RIP, Peter. We will miss you.
Why didn't Peter get more lead vocals? His voice is amazing and a little vibrato too. Such a gem of a man. Darn cancer got him and my other favorite, George Harrison. Hope to see you both in heaven.
His voice was like a fine wine. It improved with agel. He couldn’t have pulled this song off in his early days
I always liked Peter Tork, RIP.
Good to know I'll have Peter forever on UA-cam. He was true to his progressive views to the end. This pandemic has given me lots of time to reflect and now I can cherish him and his music and the Monkees and the others. I so identify with his restlessness and I'll do my best to continue the struggle.
This is the perfect description of "bittersweet".....He was my favorite Monkee, and I'm going to miss him.
ほろよい?ヤれば出来る夢をみましょうね!ピーターこそがね!
They play this video at the Mike and Micky Show, a sweet tribute.
Just came back from the Mike and Micky show in St Louis. This video played just before intermission. Just a perfect tribute to a fabulous musician
Made me cry . .Till then Peter 😔💔
How wonderful - the song, the singing and the lovely, loveable singer who we miss so much.
I saw Mike and Mickey last night and they played this in tribute to him
Rest peacefully Peter.
Every time I listen to this I cry. Why do I keep listening to it?
I went to see Mike and Micky in concert and they played this video during the intermission.
I was at the same concert as you. What an unexpected and emotional tribute to Peter. It was wonderful. Mike and Micky did fantastic job. I loved when someone shouted to Mike "I love you!" and he said "I don't even know who you are and I love you too!" Mike was riding the wave of the energy in that place.
Same last night at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. What a wonderful concert and lovely tribute to Peter to add this to their show.
i’d seen the set list online and thought mike & micky were singing it and maybe showing pictures or video of peter. i was at the beacon last night and it had me weeping.
Just saw this at their last show in St Louis. Took my mother, who was a little girl when they were at their height. I could see the tears welling up in her eyes. How beautiful.
i saw this at one of their concerts in Minnesota. It took me alot of courage not to cry, but it was a beautiful moment because everyone was silent in memory of him. truly magical
RIP Peter... :-(
Beautiful Peter-thank you for a lifetime of wonderful memories RIP my friend
This song happened in a horrible time when many would never see their loved ones again. This song, White Cliffs of Dover, Apple Tree, were all bittersweet prayers that a reunion would occur. Hate the military elsewhere.
Always my FAVORITE Monkee!!!
ugh wow I didn't want to cry over peter again today😟❤
Rest In Peace, Peter Tork...
How sweet. He played a lovely, jazz guitar too!!
Beautiful song from a beautiful musician. R.I.P. Pete !!!
PETER TORK - we all loved you - and - WE ALL STILL LOVE YOU - you are in HEAVEN now - I hope to see you again - Love from your pal forever - TIL THEN, Joe Nania a.k.a. Hollywood Joe
R.I.P. Peter
Awesome, Peter!!
This makes me cry
My favorite Monkee since I was 7! Love and miss him so much, beautiful man ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your legacy will live on
Gets me choked-up every time!! :( Missing you very much, Peter!!
Loved watching Peter an the rest of the band and saw at least one show every tour since 1989.Last saw Peter in 2016 with Micky and he was outstanding
Me too!
Very nice, Peter.
love you, peter
You are in Rock and Roll Heaven Peter
Bravo Peter!
Beautiful!
Lovely song, lovely man.
So glad someone recorded this. What a charming song. Made me teary eyed too.
As Nez said following Davy’s passing, Peter was the best musician in the band by an order of magnitude. This is an excellent example!!!! Thank you Peter!!!
This is for the next Monkees' album; maybe consider having Mike and Mickey harmonizing in the background. In any event, The Mills Bros. would be damn proud of this!!!
Peter was outspoken.
And I betcha had he was still living he would be angry at what is happening in this country like banning books and rights being taken away.
This is why I loved him. Continue to rest well king. I love you forever and always..❤️
Wonderful!
Sweet performance. Beautiful lyric.
So beautiful
Beautifully done, wistful song. written during a much more hopeful time. Yes, it's nice to revisit the times when dreams still seemed within reach.
Captivating. Lovely performance.
Seems like a good person. Love this!
A really nice job by Peter!
thank you so beautiful
We miss you, Peter
ありがとう❤️
❤❤❤❤❤
Does the technology exists to separate Peter's voice from his guitar? I know that this would not be possible under traditional techniques since they were recorded together under the same microphone but, I didn't know if it would be possible with today's technology.
The reason I ask is because, I've been undertaking a home project where I break down Peter's performance by syllable, slow down certain parts and rearrange it so that it can be smoothly laid over top of the Till Then track recorded during the Headquarters sessions. It actually sounds pretty good and you cannot tell any variation Peter's voice. It really sounds like he's saying it a bit slower. Unfortunately, the guitar is very noticeable. While I still would like you some aspects of Peters guitar such as using Hyster digital opening as opposed to the headquarters track opening as well as a few key strums here and there, I'm more interested in laying Peter's voice over the Monkees track and then perhaps getting Micky Dolenz to add the second voice / Harmony to make all new 100% Monkees single.
Marci brought me here :)
In the years since this video was posted, has anyone identified the writers of this great song, synonymous and made famous by The Mills Brothers, recorded by MANY others including a version in 1963 by the Classics, which was a hit song peaking at number 20?
As always, it is very important to acknowledge the songwriters. Without them we wouldn't have Till Then and all the wonderful songs of our lives. Be sure to credit the songwriters first and foremost.
"Till Then" is a popular song written by Eddie Seiler, Sol Marcus, and Guy Wood and published in 1944.
Does sound like a WW ll song. Maybe the 1940's like Peter said.
Did he do it in A?

Great song.... Notice the Japanese flag on his guitar strap which got us into world war II for bombing Pearl harbor ...interesting
I think I remember reading that a fan made that strap for him.
R.I.P. Peter
