Honestly the entire rap was a great listen, BUT, I believe Gohan is great as he was. He saved the world, the world was in peace so he settled down and got his grades up. When the Earth needed him he stepped back into it. As for Super, probably a little underused but he's still a lad, forever my favorite character with Vegito

Given Gohan's prior use of the mystic state, a transformation not exclusive to saiyans, I genuinely believe that it should've been him to use Ultra Instinct rather than Goku
To be fair, Mystic Form was something that was given to him , while Ultra Instinct was basically the culmination of Goku training practically constantly for around twice the length of Gohan's entire life, almost purely for the sheer love of martial arts, (and also being based on Sun Wu'Kung, who eventually attained Enlightenment and became a Bodhisattva at the end of Journey to the West). Goku was also given his Super Saiyajin God mode in a similar situation, sure, but he was really annoyed by the fact he needed to resort to an external power up (and Vegeta subsequently attaining that mode through pure training showed that Goku would almost certainly have been able to attain it just as quickly, if his hand wasn't forced by Beerus' threat to destroy the planet if he couldn't fight a Super Saiyajin God right away), and he continues to train that new power to even greater lengths instead of essentially retiring from focusing on fighting like Gohan did (which is utterly fair because being a scholar requires a massive and constant time commitment to learn his field in the first place, and then to stay on top of recent developments and research his own developments).
I attribute Mystic to the human side of Gohan. He is only half Saiyan. I think Mystic is a lower form of UI honestly. I'm not sure if Mystic leads to UI like SS does. It's fairly similar. Though I don't think that was planned.
This song represents Gohan perfectly, and it is 🔥 🔥 🔥 the fact he only fights to protect his family that is important because he is a half saiyan and they love fighting.
