- the outpost is a cool structure, but where's the main outpost? today we are taking a look at a super cool mod that adds a new structure to the game called the pillager stronghold!

would you vibe with a pillager “mainpost” like this or is the outpost perfect as is??
I like the outpost itself, but I'd definitely like a castle that's _not_ too big and _not_ ruined :)

My take on this.
HQ: Mansion (where the leaders are located)
Fortress: This build (governs the conquered lands and villages by captains)
Look-outs: Outposts (On the edge of the Pillager clans' territory, watches for any attacks from rival clans or players/builders)
Feel like the mansion is the castle but maybe if the outposts were on the outskirts of that?
Edit: But I think it would be a good idea if it had more custom things.
And also 9:14 that was a wheelbarrow I think
@@joshuacroy3888 well they have the map rooms and the blacksmith rooms at the mansion so I’d assume they do they’re offensive preparations at the mansion also and the outposts are set up by an area they want to conquer
As you and others first thought....I also thought mansion at first....but If they are a civilization or even they would have different types of structures.

About the tipped arrows. Infinity enchantment does not effect them.

I always thought of the Woodland Mansion as the "Main Post". I kind of have a story in my head that the original illagers were the Evokers and Vindicators who were shunned by villager society for doing dark magic, and then they slowly built up wealth and power and are funding the pillagers to go out and conquer the villagers
I think this is a GREAT IDEA exept that I think pillagers should have a sword variant so the battle isn't all with a bunch of archers! I also think that the Castle has a bit to much depth it makes it look un vinnila

Since you made the reference, there should be a data pack where every single structure that generates has an incomplete back side.
Also never thought I'd see pillagers that stand on cakes like they jump out of them.....

This would be a really fun and cool addition but I feel it might overshadow the woodland mansion
Perhaps something similar to this can eventually take the place of the woodland mansion, so long as the key, lore-based features are carried over.
@@bennyboiart7781yeah that would work really well in the game. Minecraft could use a replacement for the mansion since it is getting kind of old to me does that happen to anyone else?
@@comet3754 nah, update the mansions as thats the main hq, but there should be a building between the mansions and outposts, and the styles of the mansions and outposts should be visible to the mid building, it wont be as big as the mansions, it has the same loot as the outposts but have a new loot table for afew other chests,

I really, REALLY want to see Illager villages added in at some point to Dark Forests! Little huts with strange basements or little tunnels, fields with dead bushes instead of crops, etc!
The whole data pack and the amount of illagers inside the building reminds me of the Highblock Castle level of minecraft dungeons, just completely stacked of illagers, and i kinda really love it
Running through this reminds me of Tangos game in Hermit Craft Season 7 'Deckers Out'...

There is a mod that adds more dungeons. I also wish there were more
@@gabbythegamer79 I used a data pack that added bunch of dungeons along with the Terralith data pack but my computer can't quite handle it :/ Adding to the existing dungeons is also great!
its a really nice structure but i think the main tower is a bit over-decorated
And it's not centered with the main gate. I saw it and now can't unsee. Please don't do the same thing as I did
The fence gate hopper grindstone object was definitely a wheelbarrow.

I think in an ice or snow update, there should be an ice variant of the outpost for any outpost in a snow biome including mountains. And if there was a snow update, there would extremely likely be an Iceoleger with that outpost variant. We got a mansion already. What do you think?
with ice caves too, icicles, new mobs and ice blocks that break when jumped on
@@IsiahM nice idea. But I think it should only add 2 new mobs and iceoleger and an ice wand with nothing else. Why? The nether update, caves and cliffs, and wild update being worked on before 1.18 released is a lot of work. Mojang might take a break and make 1.20 small. But a small update like that is much better than the frost burn update. Either the Iceoleger should have an outpost variant or just spawn on mountain tops. It is small but pretty cool and easy to do after a break.

this structure makes the pillagers seem like chill creatures that just want to live in peace reading books and planting flowers
You could say that, the mainpost of is a woodland mansion because there are the Evokers and maps from wool, prisons and other stuff... So maybe the main base of the Illagers in general are mansions

Great! Imagine minecraft add another structure, perhaps an overworld fortress dwelled by all sorts of raid mobs!
Okay. The longer I watched, the more I was assured that we NEED this thing in the game. Love the random stuff like this. It's good to have a switch up every once in a while (Or more often than that).

Infinite bow should affect tipped arrows like the "unbreaking" enchantment: give it a chance to not use an arrow. I think that'd be solid and also open the door to levels of infinite: I, II, and III.
I absolutely love this idea. I’ve never actually finished the game even after like 10 Years of playing, and I feel like this would be great not just for aesthetic but also for helping locate those strongholds because I have Enders and have never been too viable for me

The "pillaged unicycle" is accually a wheelbarrow it helps haul stuff like concrete powder, sand, dirt, soil, stuff like that. Works on anyrhing that fits within it.
I agree, Minecraft really should have more structures.
Doesnt even have to be big stuff.
Just small things like a campsite with a campfire and a tent or stuff like that which make you happy when you find em ^^

If this actually were in the game and actually connects to an end portal and a stronghold, the opportunities for more lore is huuuge.
The build itself is really cool looking, the way they included the illusioner is also really cool. This could look amazing in a Vanilla+ pack for sure.

Everything in minecraft usually has a purpose, like how the deep dark main building teaches you about redstone, but I don't know what this would add to the game.
It could replace woodland mansions. It also makes the game feel more "full"

Calling a wheelbarrow a unicycle is like standing a villager on a fence post, and calling it a kid playing on a pogo stick. :D Wattles I still enjoyed seeing a Pillager Mega Base. The tour was awesome. I hope you read some of the comments, and just laugh with us. I think it would be a grand thing to really get your sense of humor. I want to relate more to you as a person, so I feel a bit more willing to spend time watching your videos that are sometimes having content so much like 5-8 other Minecraft channel videos. I want to have fun with you.

You know what you do, you put down a ton of sculk shriekers, then run around untill the wardens spawn, then run out the front gate and block it off.

This needs to be added to the game. And so far something's wattles spoke has mojang put in the game so it might come.
These are the type of things we need to see. Maybe we will get a structures update next? that updates / adds new structures through out the world. I really wouldn't mind running into a broken down castle in the Peaks biome.

I would love the addition of any castle in the overworld, it would increase the fantasy vibe to Minecraft.
If mojang added it that would be really cool but I dont think they'll do because mansions exists so castles will gradually make their existence fade away :(

This should be a thing. This would add a new level of experience in Minecraft. I don't know why Mojang can't add remarkable things like this to make Minecraft feel more open.

You know what, it feels like the pillagers have a lot of really cool builds and such but this is making me want an upgrade for the villagers (again) because they only have the village... they need some more defense too lol

Id like to see something along these lines to get to the end. Have to collect stuff from across the map to be able to open the end portal and fight the dragon, quest style.
Something from the Mansion, something from the Pyramids, something from the pillager outpost, something from the Ocean monument, The Jungle Temples and
Something from the Deep Dark. Or perhaps the portal itself would be found in the deep

This is pretty legit, something like this in vanilla would be fantastic. I'm not into mods for minecraft, except shaders, but I'm really liking this concept. My concerns are the basements and looting by tunneling in. I think that could make the loot OP. Otherwise I have no problem with the massive amounts of loot, mainly because the ravagers, holy crap those things are hard to kill. Had one at my base, and I died at least 10 times, maybe 20.

I think all structures should be updated. Desert temple, jungle temple, outpost, etc etc. There's so many new blocks, they look so measly sometimes surrounded by the amazing landscape, it's time for upgrade!
This is one of the things I’ve wanted to see get added in the game.
