It’s not 80% musical. The media and social media like to tell part of a story for the headline. Music is used as therapy in mental facilities . The “musical” aspect of the film (or as it’s being called Jukebox musical) isn’t so much them singing - it’s popular music (that most people know) that will accent what’s happening in the story in the background. Yea there will be times when they are singing but it’s not the type of “musical” you’re worried about.
Imagine if Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker & Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn appears in Robert Pattison’s The Batman Part 2. That would’ve been an amazing crossover. I wonder if Bradley Cooper is coming back to produce Joker 2 (since he also directed the first film). This would be the 2nd time he works with Lady Gaga after directing, writing, producing & starting in A Star Is Born (also distributed by Warner Bros Pictures)

Matt Reeves who directed The Batman already said, No, they are not crossing over. Both directors want to do their own thing, and that’s fine, this is DC Elseworlds, not the main DCU (that starts next year).
The worst joker of all times was the Jared Leto joker… and Margot ruined Harley Quinn image… now everybody thinks Harley needs to be a sexualized character
