If you guys are wondering, each of the dragons have different appearances with powers. The first dragon (the one that first appeared in Touma going berserk) that came out erases curses and destroy memories. The black blind dragon causes intense fear and confusion (kinda like Pennywise from It) The one eyed blue dragon can create rainstorms and has deadly poison fangs. The four eyed green dragon has eye powers like Sharingan in Naruto and has metal shattering voice. The flaming red one can blast fires and drains energy. The crystal one can... well, breathe ice. The yellow one with spearhead can blast lightning and laser. The last one with angel wings has currently unknown powers.

Man, I feel like Imagine Breaker has a mind of it's own. It doesn't care that Touma just got his arm blown off, but it's pride wouldn't allow it to just hold the fact that Misaka 5.6 tried to overpower it's negation ability. It was like "Oh hell nah, you about to get this WORK!"
It still was Misaka 5.3... And she was on her limit in that stage, as you could see how the influence of the Abyss was slowly devouring her (red rare hands).
Those dragons weren't Imagine Breaker. They're the power that lies beyond the Right Hand. Basically, Imagine Breaker acts as a seal that negates/suppresses a terrible power that is hidden within Touma's body. Whenever Imagine Breaker gets temporarily disabled (in this example, through Touma's hand being severed), the power it has been suppressing leaks out. This is one of its manifestations and it isn't the first time we see it, nor the last.

J.C.Staff in these days takes way too many Series to adapt and as a result, fails to make a lot of them as good as they deserve to be but They ALWAYS give Railgun justice, I LOVE IT

I have not read the LN, but the moment all those dragons head appeared(I know my mythology) I knew who it was and it all made so much sense why Touma has such powerful neutralization powers and why he is so unlucky

Well I think it's painful everytime he lose an arm and also he may not have control of what inside his arm and he doesn't know what it really is. [Spoiler Alert index 3] That maybe why he didn't used it in index 3 but instead got his arm back.
@@eliasbarhouche Invisible thing did give him the opening he needed to hit Fiamma tho so that makes 3 fights in which the monster zoo in his arm helped him win. I know it doesn't work if the oponent is just too powerful (Othinus Aiwass etc) but anything below Fiamma wouldn't stand a chance
He actually does get pushed to the point that he considers purposefully cutting his arm off at some point in the light novels. However, the issue is resolved by someone else before it gets to that point.

Plus, I wouldn't say Gunha is dumb, there's not much dumb about him, he's just full of himself which is entertaining. You just don't want anyone other than boring touma to take the spotlight.
Fun fact the music of this part was a unused theme of Railgun S destinied to be for Touma and Accelerator fight

Just see how his amazing AIM bends through Gravity and Electromagnetic Earth forces (in the same level as Accelerator 5min-earth-rotational-force strike) in order to interfere with Thelemic Abyss godly AIM and give Touma a chance to save Mikoto. The best part got released for free here, no complains.

The IB is the seal. The dragons could be in their final form but their "earlier than expected" attack could have made their growth halt or go backwards to a previous stage.

I got bored of index bcs I watched rail gun first and misaka is more fun to watch

Basically its like this from what I've heard and seen so far
Imagine breaker is the top level and seals in the powers underneath it
Dragons are the second level that get released when the seal is removed (aka touma's arm being removed from his body)
And there are levels past the dragons that we haven't seen yet and the only time we were close to seeing it was with touma's battle with Fiamma.
In the LN's we see tone of those other levels, and damn was he cool

arnold jayeola Don’t think he actually said it, but that’s roughly what he says at the end of every “Next Episode Preview” for the Index anime. He actually also said it when he did the preview at the end of Railgun T episode 13.

@@tyellis8756 imagine breaker isn't a power, it's a seal to prevent the monstrosities inside from getting out, there are more than just these dragon inside as we even saw one of them during his fight with Fiamma in Index 3 when his arm was cut off, the seal part is said by Aleister in Index season 3 or OT 22 of the novels if I remember correctly
To anybody who might not remember, here are some foreshadowings of the Dragons:
Since the first volume or S1 E06 in the anime, when Touma went up against Index under John's Pen mode, she used Dragon's Breath (a high class offensive spell that has the same amount of power as the legendary dragon of Saint George) against Touma, which according to the possessed Index is the most suitable spell against Imagine Breaker. And even before that, Index bragged that her Walking Church (her defensive robe) can only be broken when that same dragons descends from heaven once more. Touma nonchalantly touched it in response and ruined it.
around S1 E09 while fighting the alchemist Aureolus Izzard, Kamijou thought the dragon in his arm was nothing more than the effect of Ars Magna being turned against Aureolus. Ars Magna allows the user to turn their thoughts into reality, and he figured that he scared him to the point that he imagined him as powerful as a dragon thus conjuring it to reality.
But as you can see in this scene, it is not a conjured magic. It's even older than Kamijou or even Academy City. And to think that we're not even talking about SOMETHING yet.
Also, Touma's cousin is called Otohime Tatsugami, which means "the youngest princess of the Dragon King".
Since there are 8 heads there, I guarantee you it’s related to Yamata-no-Orochi

I realized that the dragons didn't come out of nowhere, one was actually seen in the first season.
I can't believe this took place in the middle of A Certain Magical Index season II. Why in the world did Touma not mention this?!
Because it wasn't be important moving forward aside the dragons, he had so many other things to think about like the approaching Invasion on Academy city or fighting Biagio it however you spell it, he doesn't really understand what's in his arm and nobody else does either besides Aleister, who Touma doesn't even know about

When SOMETHING happens during the New Testament part of the novel, Touma stretches his right hand out to the sky while being held by Misaka.
One of the Kiharas intervenes and stops that SOMETHING but Misaka is in SHOCK since she heard cracking noises from Touma's right hand seconds before that Kihara showed up........

His right hand is like Hydra, cut it off and many heads come out to replace it. Too bad the only way so far to unlock that power is the cut is arm off. This clip also proves that the ranking system isn't based on pure power. If it were, I am pretty sure Gunha would be number 3

Regarding Touma, I can assure you that the things inside Touma's arm are not just Dragons. This is only the surface level
Ranking system is more based on how much each person is useful for aleister's plans. Gunha is seventh because no one really knows what his power is.

MrDibara Actually, it isn’t a trick. He is the only true level zero. All potential espers have AIM fields of some sort, but espers have stronger fields. All Esper field are measured, and their strength is put into the level system. Zero are for those who’s Esper abilities don’t manifest. The level fives are ranked on how useful they are for research. Since Gunha’s abilities are a middle finger to consistency and logic, he’s automatically last. Touma, however, is the only human without an AIM field, Imagine Breaker erased it along with his red string of fate and God’s blessing. So Touma is registered as a level zero because they literally can’t see his AIM field.

@@peterhuang5968 Gunha is a Gemstone or naturally born esper (Like Pryokinetics or Telekinetics) which gives him the bonus of subconsciously creating and controlling his AIM field.
The issue is that as he doesn't need to know how his ability works he doesn't know the limitations of his abilities or how it works like Accelerator can get stronger mid-fight by accounting for the attacks thrown at him and creating new vectors in response. Whereas Sogiita has to increase his output using 'guts' if he learnt how his abilities actually worked scientifically he would not be stuck at the 7th rank

In a side story he try to take on a guy way more powerful than 5.3 misaka. He get bodied, but the very fact that he put up a fight and got praised for it prove of powerful his unkown abilities are.
