Her honestly is one of the things that's so powerful about her. She wears it all on her sleeve. So people can see for who she is. She is wonderful,charming and funny. But she's also struggled with mental illness,addiction etc. And all that makes her genuinely kind. Even in her monologue she tries to be motivating. Cause she feels if she can do it others can too. And it's true.

Like when something is so cute you want to squeeze it super hard but in our case, when something is super morbid so you laugh about it.

His whole act is based on past substance use and the crazy things we all say and do while we're zooted, strung out, drunk, or just plain messed up. He's kinda boomerish, but it's tolerable. I've shown his set to 30+ treatment residents multiple times and it's the only thing I've ever seen to get them to sit still and pay attention consistently. Humor is the best therapy, imo.

I fell in love with Natasha Lyonne after seeing her in "The Slums of Beverly Hills", it's a great coming-of-age dark comedy - now it's considered a cult classic. Natasha's drug addiction caused complications that almost killed her. So seeing her now, in her artistic prime, makes it all the sweeter. Also I love, despite breaking up, Fred and her are still good friends.
Usually actors are cast for how their real personalities are. At least that's what I understood from listening on how they cast actors for different movies/shows.
I thought the same until I saw her interview when Orange is the New Black came out. She did NOT talk like that in the first movie I saw her in so I always assumed the accent was just something fun she did for her characters. Now it's great to go back and see her hide it lol I'm sure it's not an easy one to drop.
The kid that was in the Pee Wee's Playhouse clip with Natasha is actor Shaun Weiss from the Mighty Ducks. He was in pretty bad shape on drugs a few years ago here in Northern California. But now I heard he's doing good and over 2 years sober. Good for him.
I loved both seasons of Russian Doll equally. One was based on ‘ground hog’s day’ scenario. The next season was to do with quantum time, parallel dimensions. So damn good! And what a great actress. Great!
Me and this actress grew up. Not as friends, but we are close in age and she was in so many movies I watched as I saw her grow up with me and similarly we had issues in young adulthood. I'm glad she's doing well and recovered from the crap life throws at you, and sometimes yourself.
One of the best, if not the best show of the season. Natasha is such an original, natural comedian. Her acerbic and ironic wit is so authentically her and hilarious. You can tell she’s a great friend and real thinker. I wish she would do standup. HBO give her her own comedy special.
