my favourite part of ultrakill was when gabriel said "im going to ultrakill you, you insignificant fuck " and proceeded to ultrakill v1 all over the place
Ok, can I just say something? I’ve listened to this song enough times to say that, with utmost certainty, that, where Duel and Versus are V2’s themes, this absolute banger should officially be V1’s personal theme.
frankly its hard to compare them, DOOM really is a different game where you just feel completely unstoppable, but like a slow titan. ULTRAKILL is also about being unstoppable but because you're just too fast.
@@Lyfalda Imagine a game as fast paced as Ultrakill with first person melee combat, would be interesting. It kind of feels like Ghostrunner was trying to do this, but it ended up being really slow comparatively.
@@gu3z185 that'd be badass. The closest game I can think of that I've played is Warframe since that's got fast movement and a good variety of melee options, but it doesn't have much depth to it. A more fleshed-out melee system on a game that fast would be great fun!
I love the fact that this is the most intense song in the entire game and it's from freaking TRAINING LEVEL, I can't think of a better song for cyber grind other than this one
I remember when I first did cyber grind. I was super tired, headphones charging, sipping coffee. I got a decent 2k style, 5th wave. I finished my coffee, put on my headphones, and got serious. Instantly blown away by the music, got 10th wave with 10k style first try. I attribute all of that improvement to the music.
Other shooting games: "This is the tutorial, here we'll be going over mechanics and tips on how to play" Doom and ultrakill: "Here's a gun now shoot everything in sight"
@@anotherdnbdoom 1993: aight u have a bunch of guns doom 2: I'm not relevant doom 3: I fell off DOOM: HERES A HUGE CANNON FUCKING BLOW UP MARS DOOM ETERNAL: *GIANT FUCKING LASER ATOM KILLING GOD SPLITTING NACHO HISSING JACKET FITTING RED SWORD*
Other games tells you the mechanics and then gives you the weapon ultra kill gives you the weapon and then says fuck you figure it out in the game is so good that you’re like OKAY 👍
I mean, that's all you need for Ultrakill. Since the level doesn't unload when you die, trial and error isn't all too frustrating. Ultrakill is less like Doom and more like a violence sandbox. Beating the game is a bit of a challenge, but nothing terribly hard, and the major assist system makes the game at large accessible to anyone. The challenge is finding the coolest, most fun way to dispatch your enemies, which is a challenge all skill levels or levels of physical ability are able to enjoy thanks to the aforementioned assist system.
Not gonna lie, this is definitely me when I bathe in the carnal fireworks of my enemies flesh and blood after launching them in the air with the power of my robotic thunder-thighs and then launching a charged 40mm grenade out of my shotgun in their direction to then hit it with a railgun blast before it explodes, creating an even bigger explosion.
it is a actual energy core! the reload animation between normal shots are actually just v1 spinning the cores in the air to cool them, a eject makes him put new ones in instead.
This honestly has to be my favorite game this year. Even though only one act is currently available, it’s still a blast to play. The music is on par with the doom soundtracks. Hats off, New Blood.
This isn't my favorite game this year. It's my favorite game of all time. No amount of words between any Earthly language is enough to describe the levels, weapons, enemies, miscellaneous powerups and how they work so well with each other.
This is one of the best constructed OSTs I've ever heard. Even though I (currently) barely know anything about this game, it's hard to not jam to this song
@@sentrybot941 nah, Mick's riffs are pretty unique. He took the djent playstyle and added this unique flare to it. The synths just push it to excellence
I feel like this song encapsulates how your first Ultrakill playthrough feels. You get in expecting something similar to doom, but no you aren't some slow marching unstoppable force. You are fragile but F A S T
Why do people equate doomlad to slow marching when he is paper thin and gets shredded in seconds and the only reason he overcomes is superior strategy?
I have never played ULTRAKILL, this song feels like the sensation of doing 3 separate stimulants at once. And given peoples description of the game, I’m pretty sure that’s the point of it. Just going through it wants me to chart it on Clone Hero so badly, it sounds so amazing
it's the kind of game where getting something right is the equivalent of one of the devs busting into your house and giving you a little smooch in the dick so yeah, that's more or less what it feels like ...and then you die to v2 like 30 times
Oh man I can hear so many different genres bleeding through here. Breakcore, bit of speedcore and gabber, dnb, classic hardcore, the works. It's fucking incredible. I need to fire up FL Studio more often so I can start developing my own style but this is just an inspiration
It makes sense when you find out that the main dev for the game, Hakita, is a MASSIVE Igorrr fan. This sort of genre mixing is an Igorrr classic, which makes the genre blending make more sense.
Theres so many I know! My favorite parts are with the guitars when it becomes like djent and DnB and speedcore at the same time and it just fucking works.

frankly its hard to compare them, DOOM really is a different game where you just feel completely unstoppable, but like a slow titan. ULTRAKILL is also about being unstoppable but because you're just too fast.
