It is a scam because you investments even after 60 years you only make back under half of what was spent on the plots. Even if you calculate in free plots you're only likely to get half of the intital investments. (That doesn't take into account the $100 dollars you spent at select locations to get a "free" plot). He says in the video above that 20,000 people have signed up and 11,000 plots of land have been sold (Pre-paid) if you take what it costs for your average yearly income which will be about 0.04 yearly. Yes, yearly. That equates to 0.022 (which equals 0.02 cents each year and possibly on 110th year going up to 0.03 cents for the 110th year before goin back to 0.022 cents [0.022 = 0.02 cents]) Each person in this equation only makes 0.02 cents a year off of what he just said as an average. Over 60 years that will give you a total of 1.20 of the 5 dollars spent. Is this game a good game or a scam after the math? SCAM. If you play this honestly.... I would get you IQ checked.
Once an hour you can watch an ad which boosts the rent x30 for an hour. In future updates when they add passport stamps it appears it is a static % increase as well. So yea you are correct the math doesn’t work on 1 plot statically but with boosts/increases it should get a return on investment. They are also coming out with a feature where you collect diamonds in game by walking around and those diamond can be used to purchase plots. How often you find diamonds and how many diamonds a plot cost remains to be seen.
But the only problem is... the math is so obvious that it makes you ask "why invest?". I believe you'll be able to sell your land for really money or atlas bucks and will be able to convert into cash. Once this takes off & really gets into the meta verse, people will spend a fortune for certain properties.

This is very innovative reverse funnel system technology. All your money you invest will flow into the funnel. Spin around for a bit in a downward trajectory then flow out the spout of the funnel. Never to be seen again by anyone.
It takes 142 years to recover the cost of one parcel of land. Divide that by 30 if you're boosted the whole time. Means never letting more than 6 hours go by without stacking boost ads. The rarest parcel is only worth 4 parcels. Spending $100 gets 24 parcels but you won't get that money back before you die unless you're a slave to the game and are literally always boosting. Worthless game if you want to have a life. I just became mayor today and there's nothing exciting about it. There's really nothing at all to do except spend money and never get it back. You could watch ads all day long and get maybe 3 parcels a day with patience. I hope they make the game more fun.
The game was just released. They plan to expand a LOT. Imagine being able to build structures and buildings on your parcels to accrue more rent? Or building build boards for real world companies to advertise on and make more money, OR them buy these off of you? If more people play, eventually investors and sponsors will take part in this game, and the developers will ad more diversity and potential to rent payouts. It doesn’t seem like much now, but it could be something huge. Or at the VERY least, an app that lets you dip your toes into the ocean of meta verse investment

Yeah, of course you're going to get more rent per hour if you own more parcels. Some pay you more than others, I some have common ones and a legendary one.

Also, notice that the current incarnation of the app has all of the United States mapped out. There is still a lot of Earth left to map. Then they could continue to the moon and Mars if they needed to. Finally, by the time the entire US was sold, they would have enough funds earning money in their "college escrow" accounts to cover everyone's rent without inducing artificial inflation, even without expanding to other countries. Plus the ad revenue they are earning when we boost our rent. Also, in Phase 3, Atlas Earth will be paying out from a 5% pool of profits from their other games to make sure that rent is able to increase instead of decrease. It's a solid concept, one which my company has been entertaining for quite some time. I will be quite interested to see how this turns out.

That's NOT including the 30x ad bonus per hour, which, if done every waking hour could amount to multiple X annual return. Where are you putting your money that you can pay out that much?
Considering each parcel as being $5 investments, at 30x $0.00000000111 ( which is $0.0000000333/s btw ) for every waking moment, the annual return per $5 *common parcel* is $1.04727168 *not including* passport bonus.
I wanna believe in this game so bad but i just CANT. It sounds like you are taking peoples money to reinvest into other stuff. By the time people start reaching payout levels it will be years and years away. So during that time, yall would have made so much money from our money while only paying us literslly pennies. Hey mustache man supper cool concept. The release seems a little rushed. It seems like you guys do not have a lot planned for where this games going. I saw the comment you made for tile improvements very good idea. I hope this would turn into more of a game instead of a investment app. This can be the Pokémon go of tycoon games you could build businesses on your tiles and fun stuff like that. Game development is a tricky thing, and a game with the scope of this one can present some unforeseen and stubborn obstacles. Better for them to spend a few extra weeks to iron out all of the wrinkles than to launch and have to patch a buggy app. We're almost there. Cheers.
Why is your app not working right now? It's not identifying the fact that I am watching videos. I watched the video to get 2 Atlas Bucks and it doesn't even know that I watched it.
For most parcels you have to physically be there - like normal parcels on the street etc. But for landmarks like the Statue of Liberty there will be global events in an open bid system!
Did the math, if you buy the $100 IAP, after a year you only gain .8 cents. Why in the world would anyone want to do that? That means it would take you over a hundred years to see a return.
Just pre ordered 6 parcels. Taking out ads, games, etc I would have to wait years to make my money back, but my question is, if you keep your parcel continue making rent, and what not, and then decide to sell it to other people how much could someone potentially make?

If you do decide to try it out, you sign away all your rights to go against them, even if they refuse or “forget” your withdrawal request.

How far outside of the town I live in can I buy land? And if I buy land where a concert venue, mall, theater, or stadium is do I earn more money? Do those count as landmarks? Or would that be like the capital building and 360 bridge?
Right now we are going state by state (and soon, country by country) and hand selecting landmarks to digitally re-create. Landmarks appear on a global leaderboard and therefore (in phase 2) are more likely to potentially attract offers from other players but they will generate the same rent "per parcel" as any other normal parcel. I was wondering if this app would sell or give anyone's information to any other company or any other website or to really anyone in general because I may download if this is something I could get money out of and I do understand that it likely wouldn't be a lot of money but it would still be cool to have some pocket change to just throw around in exchange for playing and owning land and I was also wondering if the game requires you to be active all the time or if it requires you to make in-game purchases other than just buying plots of land, like is it the type of game that requires you to play or is it more like one of those apps that rewards you for just doing stuff because there are apps that give you things like tickets to local events or coupons etc etc for not using your phone and for having your phone inactive so I was wondering if this is something like that or in other words is this the type of game where you can just download then purchase land and then just never play again other than to purchase more land well making money at the same time and all doing so in a safe environment where you don't have to worry about your personal information or location or anything being tracked,sold or giving away, I'm interested in downloading the app but I'm worried about personal information issues and if my location being regularly tracked because I understand that some companies sell your information.
We do have plans to allow improvements but it won't be to the extent of real life :) For example, we may introduce "economic" improvements like oil, lumber, stone etc, that will then make you a merchant within ATLAS. However, these are all plans and not solidified just yet!

And a lot of other things that we haven't publicly announced yet! On top of that, our land is not speculative but rather it pays rent in the form of fractional pennies per second. However, we do understand and respect the skepticism. We plan to launch in about 60 days and feel free to circle back with us then!
Each $5 parcel will pay approximately $.05 BASE RENT per year, however, this is just the basic level. For example, gamers can come boost their rent by 30X per hour by watching ads. We plan to add features in game that will also permanently increase your rent as well!

Furthermore, we are looking to mirror real life real-estate scenarios - no circumstance would you make your money back in the real world on real -estate in 3 years! Lastly, keep in mind that we are planning quite a few more things that can help increase returns AND there will be a secondary where others can potentially buy from you so rent is not the only way to think about things.

You get .05 per year. You have two parcels you get .10 per year. Unless you guys implement plus 2% or something per additional parcel. Which is impossible since eventually someone would buy so many parcels that you will be losing more money than gaining. This app is a horrific idea. Whoever came up with it is either A. Very unintelligent. Or B. Knows how to package a complete scam into a mobile "game"

Wrong math. I figured you can get a range of 1%-37% distributions annually if using boost features. This comes from math of my rent.

Finally, by the time the entire US was sold, they would have enough funds earning money in their "college escrow" accounts to cover everyone's rent without inducing artificial inflation, even without expanding to other countries. Plus the ad revenue they are earning when we boost our rent. Also, in Phase 3, Atlas Earth will be paying out from a 5% pool of profits from their other games to make sure that rent is able to increase instead of decrease.
It's a solid concept, one which my company has been entertaining for quite some time.

That's NOT including the 30x ad bonus per hour, which, if done every waking hour could amount to multiple X annual return. Where are you putting your money that you can pay out that much?

I wanna believe in this game so bad but i just CANT. It sounds like you are taking peoples money to reinvest into other stuff. By the time people start reaching payout levels it will be years and years away. So during that time, yall would have made so much money from our money while only paying us literslly pennies. I saw the comment you made for tile improvements very good idea. I hope this would turn into more of a game instead of a investment app. This can be the Pokémon go of tycoon games you could build businesses on your tiles and fun stuff like that. Game development is a tricky thing, and a game with the scope of this one can present some unforeseen and stubborn obstacles. Better for them to spend a few extra weeks to iron out all of the wrinkles than to launch and have to patch a buggy app. We're almost there. Cheers.

For most parcels you have to physically be there - like normal parcels on the street etc. But for landmarks like the Statue of Liberty there will be global events in an open bid system!
Did the math, if you buy the $100 IAP, after a year you only gain .8 cents. Why in the world would anyone want to do that? That means it would take you over a hundred years to see a return.

How far outside of the town I live in can I buy land? And if I buy land where a concert venue, mall, theater, or stadium is do I earn more money? Do those count as landmarks? Or would that be like the capital building and 360 bridge?
Right now we are going state by state (and soon, country by country) and hand selecting landmarks to digitally re-create. Landmarks appear on a global leaderboard and therefore (in phase 2) are more likely to potentially attract offers from other players but they will generate the same rent "per parcel" as any other normal parcel. I was wondering if this app would sell or give anyone's information to any other company or any other website or to really anyone in general because I may download if this is something I could get money out of and I do understand that it likely wouldn't be a lot of money but it would still be cool to have some pocket change to just throw around in exchange for playing and owning land and I was also wondering if the game requires you to be active all the time or if it requires you to make in-game purchases other than just buying plots of land, like is it the type of game that requires you to play or is it more like one of those apps that rewards you for just doing stuff because there are apps that give you things like tickets to local events or coupons etc etc for not using your phone and for having your phone inactive so I was wondering if this is something like that or in other words is this the type of game where you can just download then purchase land and then just never play again other than to purchase more land well making money at the same time and all doing so in a safe environment where you don't have to worry about your personal information or location or anything being tracked,sold or giving away, I'm interested in downloading the app but I'm worried about personal information issues and if my location being regularly tracked because I understand that some companies sell your information.

We do have plans to allow improvements but it won't be to the extent of real life :) For example, we may introduce "economic" improvements like oil, lumber, stone etc, that will then make you a merchant within ATLAS. However, these are all plans and not solidified just yet!

Hey ShadowsFate, thanks for visiting! Earth 2 is not a location-based game. You cannot walk around in the world and pick of pieces of land. That's what we're doing. And a lot of other things that we haven't publicly announced yet! On top of that, our land is not speculative but rather it pays rent in the form of fractional pennies per second. However, we do understand and respect the skepticism. We plan to launch in about 60 days and feel free to circle back with us then!

Each $5 parcel will pay approximately $.05 BASE RENT per year, however, this is just the basic level. For example, gamers can come boost their rent by 30X per hour by watching ads. We plan to add features in game that will also permanently increase your rent as well!

@@johnsullick8929 You guys - our team takes weekends off just like most companies :) You are right that in the base case + ads it could take up to 3.3 years however remember that your rent can then buy more land and it has a compounding effect. Furthermore, we are looking to mirror real life real-estate scenarios - no circumstance would you make your money back in the real world on real -estate in 3 years! Lastly, keep in mind that we are planning quite a few more things that can help increase returns AND there will be a secondary where others can potentially buy from you so rent is not the only way to think about things.

You get .05 per year. You have two parcels you get .10 per year. Unless you guys implement plus 2% or something per additional parcel. Which is impossible since eventually someone would buy so many parcels that you will be losing more money than gaining. This app is a horrific idea. Whoever came up with it is either A. Very unintelligent. Or B. Knows how to package a complete scam into a mobile "game"
