You know what I love most about this? The fact that you can get so amazingly excited about the beauties that nature brings! How many people would've looked up and be like: "Yep, those are clouds." And get back to their phone? It's amazing to just take time and appreciate what's around you.
I am teary eyed a bit...Dec 5th 2021!!! (my 64th birthday) I was in Austin TX returning to Corpus Christi on my Scarlet G Gramma escape. I was bound to go to a Karaoke bar and sing the "When I'm 64" Beatles song. I danced on the Coyote Ugly bar and got my free birthday drink. I experienced the freedom of using my Dodge Caravan as a sleep in while travelling. Because I live in Corpus Christi, I see so many conversions and stealth campers because this is a "weather suits the barefooted" Snowbird destination. It is like now I see the free and beautiful! Hearts to you and your soul hound Akela!
You always love the simplicity of your life, and the beauty of the places you stay always amazes me, so I thank you for sharing your days with me I really love watching you and where you go from early morning sunrises to orange coloured clouds in the sky so take care❤
“I love my life bc it’s simple”. Good for you. Now, the rest of us who decided to have four kids…well, we like watching your vanlife bc there’s a part of us who wish we could also simplify our lives and get out there. I have 6 years until my nest is empty and all i want to go is “get out there”
Others may say “take your kids and go live in a van”. To them I’d say ‘no, i want to give normalcy to all of my kids’. There are arguments to & fro, but i think im on the best path for my family. Peace to everyone reading this.
I am sure Iceland was beautiful in its special way. However, seeing you and Akela back in your element just appreciating the colors of the desert has a complicated simplicity we all need in our lives. Thank you for showing me what I've been missing.

Yep, our sunsets in Albuquerque gave our beautiful mountain it’s name “Sandia” which is “watermelon” in Spanish. I was just telling my hubby that I want to keep simplifying our life. I’m really craving that, hoping for less stress, less worries…….

Due to retirement and health concerns, I am not in a position to let go of my dwelling and convert a Van or School Bus to a home on wheels. So I am living vicariously through your insightful and beautiful Videos. And you have an interest in Archery, an avocation I once was passionate about as an expression of Meditation. Hi Linnea ! I so appreciate the way you share your life so genuinely . Contentment comes from within ! You are doing your thing , seemingly totally free ! Creating your own special life with your own individual dreams and you seem to be really good at it ! And your love of Akela is so beautiful ! She is such a great companion. I also love the simplicity and freedom of this kind of life and hopefully will be out there in less than 1 year ! And lastly , your food /cooking looks so healthy and tasty ! Being in nature makes food that much better !! And enjoying your alone time is such a gift ! One last thing , I used to have a white German Shepherd named Wolfgang. One time a friend brought a puppy over . Wolfgang had an obsession with his tennis ball. We were all in the backyard . The puppy got the tennis ball and was chewing on it . Wolfgang just watched her for a while . We had thrown some bread in the backyard for birds. Wolfgang went over picked up a piece of bread and dropped it by the puppy .The puppy dropped the ball and went for the bread. The ball bounced once before it was in wolfgang’s mouth . He devised that plan . He was so intelligent and had such a big heart. he could have easily just taken the ball from the pup . I love german shepherds, heart and intelligence ! Also Wolfgang ‘moaned’ like Akela ,sounds exactly the same :)

Oh to be young again, I don't recall the first time I noticed there were clouds in the sky. That certainly wasn't my reaction. I'm kidding of course. I should get out more often. You are fortunate to have had people around that seem to care for you a great deal. Having a strong family bond makes for a great foundation and growing up can be a pretty bumpy road without some help along the way. I enjoy watching your videos mainly to see how you overcome the roadblocks that seem to pop-up from time to time. I really enjoyed watching you build out your van, it's interesting to see how you would problem solve. Keep up the good work and showing us those beautiful clouds! lol

I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your journeys with us, the world. I know for many who seek the solitude of nature, their moments out there are often personal and deeply fufilling, and for some that can be hard to share. I feel so inspired to go off on my own journey and you and akela make me laugh and smile. I dont intend to live in a van but I want to go explore and be a part of this amazing world, so I am starting my search for a minivan to convert into a camper van! Your video of first getting your van hit me big time and helped me feel more courage to take the leap, which will also be one of the biggest purchases I have ever made, ouch. Im 19 and ive worked so hard to be where i am but I look around and I dont really know what that means, to be where I am. Im not sure what the future holds but I know you inspire me to go find out.

Hi Linnea. Pull the plug on the fridge in the morning. The stuff inside wil stay cold for a while. My fridge made a lot of noice so I switched it of during the night when it bothered me to much. Stunning place to camp btw :)
Yes that is what I do usually! Well, generally I'll turn the fridge off at night so I can turn my heat on in the morning without needing to get out of bed haha Clearly I forget sometimes :)
Love the clean food initiative to go with those thrilling sky views. When you cook, can you start saying the recipe out loud because I want to make that breakfast! 😀

I can't find a Class B under 75k, which is so upsetting. I want to create my own space but can't pay that much for a van. I wish I could find a used Class B that didn't cost so much. ☮️💚💋
