Lol, batman is a badass, this fucker probs scare the shit out of both joker and batman, he's batman if he was the batman who laughed before he turned, crazy enough to be immoral and moral in both thoughts and actions all the time. That would scare someone who suffered trauma and fights through with a mission, so does MK, but imagine this, batman is (*stable?) And joker isn't, MK could go from saving you to dropping you at the a moments time, because he could swap between egos, (*he's really on par with deadpool in ultimate spiderman, though it plays more on MKs relation to the moon, funny tbh) but I honestly didn't think moon knight was the antithesis of batmans methods and measures, but he is in how he thinks and his not just confidence in his actions but how he makes them feel, because I know before recent runs, he either killed you or blew you up, I don't know, I know that he left more bodies than bats did during his start up
@The Omega Effect ......Moon Knight actually wears a reflective Jet Silver costume which appears white when under direct light (just like the moon). If Moon Knight "The Silver Crusader" (as Doug Moench called him), truly wears white, then I guess the Silver Surfer is white too.
The Charlie Huston 2006 Moon Knight run was meant to depict his breaking point after years of vigilante work and not being able to do anything for months (alone in a room).
So Moon Knight didn't feel that way about wearing "white" until that point in his life.

As explained in interview, Doug Moench's inspirations for Moon Knight were The Shadow and Vampirella.
Doug Moench's Moon Knight had a Jet Silver costume, 6 weapons (meant to kill werewolves, now being used to stop criminals), and a repurposed redesigned attack helicopter.
That was it. No secret layer, no advance technology, no gadgets.
No one except Doug Moench knows how to write a Moon Knight comic without making him overthetop crazy or a BatMan knockoff.
@@RamsTheNameCom using rob as reference, compared em and summarised they aren't alike, so much to say he is akin to a mental combination of several mental health problems, I'd said he'd probably scare both joker and batman, saying he'd more likely bust a joke or drop you with less than a thought. No where did I say he was a knock off, or anything in the sense, but simply stated again, that he's crazy enough and able enough to scare both batman and joker.

He also defeated Taskmaster on a one on one fight by making it not about skill but about the amount of damage they could take and keep on going. Making Taskmaster beg him to stop, just to cut his mask off leaving him terrified on the floor holding his face (probably grateful that he didn't cut it of like he did Bushmaster).
They need to tap into his horror/supernatural background. Werewolf by Night and Bushmaster are a must.
This was it. The video to truly make me love the character of Moon Knight. I had found out about him in February of 2019 and liked him but none of the videos I watched really made me understand him. This video fixed that and made me a true fan of Moon Knight. Thank you Ben. Rest in peace.🌙❤

Moon Knight is by far one of my favorite superheroes and I think he's too dark for Disney.
They would have to step it up from Daredevil, a show of near perfection in my opinion, if they want to get this right.
Maybe they'll have a mature category on their streaming service app for shows like Daredevil and Moon Knight.

You predict the future
Personally, I think the difference between Moon Knight and Batman (besides the costumes) is how their character is set up.
Batman has many variations of himself, he can be insane, obsessive, vampiric, young, old, goofy, powerful, powerless, or just a guy in a bat suit with his 10 other sidekicks and his butler that takes care of the house as well as tolerate his hobby.
Moon Knight, on the other hand, relies upon himselves as well as Khonshu to take care of either mystical or odd murder cases. He also has a different origin story set up than Batman does. Batman got scarred as a child while Moon Knight just so happened to be near a place where a moon god resided.
In summary, I think Moon Knight's characteristics and story are more focused on one version of himselves, making his story formula more simplified. Batman's characteristics and story are just a whirlwind of lore.

As mentioned in interview, Moon Knight was inspired by The Shadow and Vampirella.
Judging by Moon Knight's new direction highlighted in Annual #1, I bet they'll be drawing inspiration from Fist of Khonshu and Doug Moench's Moon Knight the most for the MCU.
With their Khonshu being inspired by the Warren Ellis or Vengeance of the Moon Knight comics.

That whole "rather take a punch than dodge it" is complete tripe. He only behaved that way in one miniseries in which he was supposed to be at his lowest point. Yes, Moon Knight has always been a tough guy with an incredibly high pain threshold, but he is normally depicted as a highly skilled and tactical fighter.

Again, depends on the run that they're adapting, in the comics, the run after civil war with Norman sees moon knight even adopt a non killing rule, a rule that would continue until ANAD Moon Knight, the only really violent series was the 2006 miniseries, and I don't think they would adapt that
It doesnt need to be r rated to be good , i agree that he is a violent character and his insanity could bs enhanced by r rating , but he could be violent and dark without r rating
I didn't cut off any ordinary thug's face, but in fact my greatest nemesis Bushman. He got it back tho... Eventually (Vengeance of Moon Knight).
Personally I hope they DON'T have any R-rated content. I am sick of people seeing Moon Knight as just "the crazy violent guy." As Barber25 pointed out he was really only like that in one miniseries. While he's no saint, in most runs he's a basically good man who truly wants to atone for his dark past.

Lol watch. Just like Black Panther when only 25% of people knew who he was until Civil war came out and had his solo film, now the whole world knows him. I have the same feeling about MoonKnight. Not that many people know him right now but in a few months when the Moonknight's show come out I'll draw attention to his character than the next thing you know he's gonna have a commercial of his mask and gadgets for kids like they do to all the heroes. Moon Knight has been one of my favourites for many years. I lost my mind when his MCU inclusion was announced. I can't wait.
This has been known for 2 years j just learned about his Disney plus show now
I remember Moon Knight comic blew up for awhile in the 90s due to being drawn by a new artist named Stephen Platt. That was the first time I heard of him but always remembered that time when getting one of those comics was super tough.
@hvn919 ....3 of those Stephen Platt Moon Knight covered issues are worth $80 a piece.... For some reason.
I managed to buy them for $1 a each recently since the comic shop owner knew jack about Moon Knight.

A Marvel/Netflix style Moonknight show. One can only hope.
I've just been thinking, that with the release of Moon Knight on Disney +, we will be getting the definitive Moon Knight, his Marvel "canon" origin.
Marvel has been playing lose with his origin in the comics for years, always tinkering, adding and taking away.
This means his MCU live action version, will become the definitive version of the character.
The origin with the most weight, the origin non-comic readers will know, and the origin that will stick with Moon Knight going forward.
Sadly the Jewish person meeting an Egyptian God won't be part of the origin that part of his origin I like a lot.

Moon Knight actually predates/ originates all the batman-isms people say he is "ripping off". Modern Grimdark Batman wasn't a thing till TDKR, that was 86. Moon Knight had swagger in that 1980 book, that I owned.
@Kevin Murphy .....Truth be told, Moon Knight's creator (Doug Moench) states in interview that Moon Knight was inspired by The Shadow and Vampirella.
The Shadow (in one version) was a brutal mercenary who died on a mission and was brought back to life by a higher being. Giving him powers and forced to be a hero for the rest of his life to redeem himself.
The Shadow has 8 disguises, drives a taxi, and is filthy rich.
Vampirella inspired Doug Moench's writing style (Doug Moench's first comic job was writing Vampirella comics).
Also comparing Vampirella's main cast of characters with Moon Knight........ Yeah, they're pretty much the same thing.

I think Wilson Bethel from Daredevil Season 3 should play Moonknight. He has the charisma and can play someone psychologically flawed incredibly well.

I have little confidence Disney plus can pull off the dark and brutal nature of moon knight. Better off to be on hulu
Anyone with some interest in Moon Knight or sequential art, panel compositions, layouts and fight choreography should really read Ellis, Shalvey and Bellaire's mini. Each issue is a standalone and reads like an anthology, they even have a cold opening/title card intro in a way. Shalvey's art is very cinematic throughout using lots of wider panel layouts and it has very subtle narrative flow that shouldn't be overlooked. Issue 5 titled Scarlet I has sequences and fight choreography out of movies like The Raid and The Protector. with a bit of supernatural fun littered throughout it also dives somewhat into the different aspects and facets of Moon Knight and being the Fist of Khonshu. There's some of the finest pacing in a single issue next to some of Mignola's Hellboy, which leads me to my final point. Not entirely throughout and maybe moreso in other Moon Knight titles but there is some brilliant use of negative space and stark contrasting white in his costume and cape.

@@JEMA333 That was on purpose as Bill Sienkivics (or however you spell it) started out drawing Moon Knight comics and didn't want to do it. He was tasked to redesign the character, but all he wanted to do was draw BatMan. So he just drew BatMan and made him Moon themed..... And that's how Bill Sienkivics screwed over Moon Knight, but hey the costume is synonymous with the character now. So they have to keep it.
