Epic Fail! Changing Evap Canister Purge Valve Solenoid on 2010 Kia Soul

- That time I tried to change it on my own AND foughtttttt with the Solenoid to COME OUT! 😭😭
I ordered the part from Amazon. This video is just to show how “EASY” 🤣 it is to change.

That self feeling of accomplishment of something you never done before....after you do it you question your self....did I just do that with a big smile 😃
I fixed my own leaky dishwasher and now I'm intent to learn how to fix my freaking car. I'm getting a similar code. I think it might be the same part on my Kia Spectra. Learning how to do stuff yourself certainly worth it, especially if you can save hundreds of dollars.

Honestly I’m not quite sure of the full name. I know my Kia Soul has 4. The one on engine bay, this one which is on top of fuel tank and one in the bottom of the fuel tank. I have changed the first 2, and my light is still on. I have to change the 3rd and see if that fixed the issue fully. And thank you both!
@@nnikyecloud437 that dear is the fuel tank pressure sensor, the one on the engine is the purge solenoid, the one on the canister back of the car is vent solenoid, is used to seal the system.

I’m curious what prompted the replacement? Was your gas spilling out or no stopping at the pump like it was supposed to?
Yes! Sorry for late reply!!!!! It kept spilling gas, replaced the one IN motor bay, Nothing. Then apparently we have Another One (this one). And a Third one, on top of gas tank?!!! But this one did the trick. 🤘🏼😭
what about the hose connection?
Yes I noticed there was not a hose. But i will have to connect it!

Sorry for late reply! It’s an evap purge valve kind of weird name. There’s 3 of them in a Kia Soul, so make sure you are getting the correct one for the correct place!

You need to ditch the nails Sweety. Mechanics don’t wear nails. They make your job more difficult.
