Cube was always a value for money choice, always lower prices on same spec e-bikes with other brands I see on this channel. Now it has a model that follows the trend of super expensive e-bikes that justify the extra money for 1-2 kilos less weight compared to the other models. I have the 140 2022 model, 2000 euros cheaper in today's prices compared to the ONE55.....2000 more just for better fork? and rear shock? It even has the same ugly battery cover...The 2022 line just before inflation hit us (I got mine for 4900) was the best value for money...
Cube again showing they can put out high performance high spec bikes which are significantly cheaper than the competition. If it said Specialized or Santa on it would be 2-3 k more. These are bavarian built quality bikes that some still appear to turn their noses up at. Their loss!!
I completely disagree about the quality of Cube. The suspension platform is much worse than Specialized. The numbers may be the same but it’s just nowhere near the same quality and engineering behind it. They generally spec some great components, but putting diamonds on a dog turd doesn’t make it jewelry.
@@davidjones9636 it’s basically like comparing a BMW with a Dacia. They are both cars, they both get you from A to B. They have four wheels, seats, an engine, gearbox and so on. But the attention to detail, the longevity and the general functioning of the BMW is just way better. The Cube stereo 150 was a massive success in terms of numbers. I mean who wouldn’t be seduced by a 4k bike that has factory suspension and great spec all round. However anyone who has actually ridden a stereo 150 will tell you that it is absolute rubbish. The back especially is just awful. And Factory suspension doesn’t manage to save it. It’s totally wooden and unresponsive. It either doesn’t move at all or bottoms out from a pebble. It’s awkward and clunky to ride. I ride a Specialized and a Scott and whilst it really pisses me off that they charge so much and sometimes skimp on simple components (like performance shock and not performance elite on a 10k bike), they both ride better than the “cheap” brands. The made in Germany philosophy doesn’t apply at all to Cube. I hope that I was able to explain myself properly.

Probably confirming my point about some turning their nose up at Cube, thanks proved the point. As a BMW motorcycle owner I think I have a reasonable knowledge of why Bavarian goods are high quality. I guess its true that slick marketing bollox from the trendy mtb companies really works. Hahaha
Seriously, specialized been breaking shocks for years with this layout and Norco, Cube and now Focus all said hold my beer! Ebikes typically ridden by heavier dudes, moto dudes and ridden more. Terrible idea or a good time to buy shares in RS/Fox.
Got a few E-MTB’s , love my cube AT 160 , it rides really well in my field of trails , basic trails I’ve ridden for 30 years , re-ignites my passion for this nonsense
Rode the Stereo 140 and I found it sluggish, dated geometry, difficult to use on sharp tight tracks. This new 150mm lighter frame with improved geometry will prove a hit, good move to change the suspension set up, again wishing I had a lottery win, gonna stop watching this channel.
As with mine I replaced the headset bearing and top cap with cane creek, as the std plastic top and crap bearings are rubbish for the asking coin, they really should officer a metal top cap those plastic ones crack and your chasing your ass with creaking noise, otherwise great bike.
Just another bike copying the levo, They got it right from the start, and everyone else just keeps cloning it, all they do is add their front triangle design. At least this one doesn't have that stupid kink in the top-tube so so many others do.
