My Muslim friend had to wait 9 years to marry as my friend was only 17 and still at high school when they met at a family wedding. My friends dad wanted her to finish her education and then go to law school, which she did. The young couple were not allowed to date in the meantime but her fiance was allowed to visit her at her family home occasionally. Then he went to Saudi Arabia to work and make money for his wedding and the dowry etc which his family contributed to. Their parents thought they wouldn't wait for each other during those long years and they tried to arrange other marriages for them but the couple refused and waited for each other. They phoned and emailed each other and twice a year when the fiance came home on leave he visited her at her home. Finally after completing her law degree she married the man she loved and they had a spectacular wedding. Now they have been happily married for 19 years, have 3 daughters and are still in love. They emigrated to NZ after their first child was born and they embraced Kiwi life. I have watched their kids grow up into beautiful accomplished young women.
I have many Indian friends, they say in arranged marriage, the bride gets returned to her husband if she runs away. The married couple are told to stay together or they lose out on inheritance and the family turns their backs. Most of the "single" indian men on dating apps are actually married and run wild when they come to Minneapolis. I worked with an indian social service here in mn and many arranged marriage brides get abused by their husbands
I can attest to tht. Indian men are the creepiest because they try their best to reserve their desires. Online they hunt women to fulfill all those desires. Muslim men are weirder. They will do the same but not nearly on the same level as indian men

Such an archaic patriarchy system. Marriage is so complicated and become old, cohabitation and partnership. Arranged marriage sounds contractive..
Marriage is old idea - be it arranged or love ones.
I don’t like arranged marriage :( 💔
Deep rooted in the caste system, what’s wrong with you. Definitely an agenda driven video.
😢
Love & arranged marriages are all not perfect ! Arrange marriages more problems !
