@@gamedummy6614 That's not an intrusive thought. Intrusive thoughts tend to persist despite rationality, and also they tend to be either self-destructive or detrimental to mental health. As someone who occasionally gets them, here is an example of a self-destructive one I once had: "What if I just drank that hand sanitizer?" Then, I reminded myself that hand sanitizer is poisonous, actually, and I'd rather not poison myself because I actually like being alive. But my brain was like "yeah but do I know for sure it's poisonous?" And I was like "yes, I do, now go away". And then it stopped-- for two minutes. Two minutes later: "What if I just drank that hand sanitizer?" They aren't quite as bad for me as for some people I know. For example, I got rid of the hand sanitizer one by just hiding it behind my water bottle and taking it out of my line of sight. For other people, they're harder to get rid of. (One of my friends has had a recurring one for months that everybody hates them and all their friends are just lying about it because of pity.) Either way, actual intrusive thoughts are a real pain to deal with.
