Thank you for creating and sharing this video, Im doing my first rotor and pad replacement after 50 k of miles, as the braking power and sounds of the squeaking is too much to safely continue. I appreciate the thorough guide and hope for the best for you
With ceramics you have to do break-in at different speed intervals starting with about 50MPH braking aggressively down to around 10MPH and then move down to 30MPH braking, BUT you have to give 15-20 second driving cool-down intervals between the heavy braking to prevent overheating of brake rotors or else those pads will never seat in. Pad slapping ceramics is also usually a no-no. Ceramics are overrated and will eventually glaze. For Nissan brakes stick with good set of Akebono or Hitachi pads.
Thank you for sharing this information. Fortunately I just bought a new rotor and brake pad kit so hopefully avoiding the pad slap associated with just doing the pads. Its gonna be my first time but Ill make to break them in at the suggested ceramic speeds. Thank you for your knowledge
