Typically when I stargrind I like to play normal rated levels because they're just so darned relaxing. It's nice to take a break and just chill and enjoy the game without worrying about difficulty.
Additional Advice: If you find a level you really enjoy, play more levels by the same creator to make your stargrinding experience much more enjoyable. It sacrifices a bit of efficiency, but it is a great way to stay motivated.
It would be better if you played medium levels because they take a shorter amount of time (as in less than a minute) whereas average length levels are about a minute fifteen each
Fun fact: you can 18-21 stars from a level called kappaclysm. A 6 or 7 star featured level. The only level in a map pack, gauntlet. And you can find it in the search tab!
it really depends how sightreadable the level is usually you die to even 2-star levels not because of skill issue, but the fact that the creator literally can't make stuff visible... like just imagine some actually easy level, but on top of that, add a bunch of fake spikes and make all pads, orbs and portals look the same... that's basically how most of the levels look like in the featured tab, but it depends on rng if you find a good readable gameplay or yet another unfair piece of garbage, some levels would be literally 10x more fun if those were raw layouts, not to mention the fact that those levels are just... very generic
Alot of content is starting to get like this, pretty sure it's related to the algorithm favouring watch time or something, more editing usually means you'll focus on all the moving stuff etc etc, same reason some channels just end their video without outros and stuff now.
@@Lumiiify yep, presumably because of a huge boom in short content media (tiktok, reels, shorts, ...) if something isn't happening every 20 seconds, a lot of people click away to find something more entertaining... i hope this isn't gonna be the standard in 5 years, because i enjoy longer content way more D:
@@Lumiiify yea kinda, the algorithm favors videos that have high click-rates, and high engagement, so if you want a video to do well you are kinda forced to make it something along the lines of this, considering that a lot of the people watching youtube are quite young
Nice video this is a cool experiment I would do this but I try to get every coin in every levels so it wouldn't make a difference for me and I started grinding less because I never found it super fun but this is some useful information for others.

A method that is really easy is for gauntlet levels: they can be completed 2 times, in the gauntlet and searching normally, so if you have a 5 star level you can get 10 stars by it, its like completing a hard level and gaining demon stars.

for me the best difficulty to stargrind is 6*s, I find them to usually be pretty fair and once you get used to them they're pretty readable.

If you beat a level in a mappack, you also beat it outside of the mappack, so only 12 stars.

Levels with secret ways can be good for star grinding but not all levels have secret ways

For the starters: beat every auto level using 3600 speed hack to get atleast 600 stars really fast (under a hour)
speedhacking auto levels is not allowed and you cen get leaderboard banned for it
