    The Px is the companion to the Cx series (carbines), which was originally offered in four calibers: 9mm, 40SW, 45 ACP and 357 SIG. This is the reason for the "4" in Cx4. When we developed the Px (pistol) we called it Px4, keeping the naming family tradition, even if offered only in 3 calibers (9mm, 40SW and 45ACP)

    I didn't know these existed until a week or so ago. Watched several youtube videos. I just bought a slightly used well cared for one this morning. Fired one magazine out to 30 yards. Frankly I was stunned at how tame and accurate it is. Very happy with it. I assume I will only get happier with it as I get to know this gun.

    I thought the video was fine and as described - Basic maintenance and magazines. I think the intent was to exemplify the difference between the three models in terms of how they are taken down and cleaned (from one, another). I appreciate the time and effort you took in recording and posting the video.

    Excellent video thank you.
    Got the PX4 Storm full size. What an excellent pistol. My Glock 19 was my primary gun in case SHTF.
    The PX4 is now my primary, number 1 pistol.
    The Beretta is definitely a MUCH BETTER firearm. Don’t get me wrong I love Glock but Beretta has an EXCELLENT and smooth trigger. WOW, it also has way better parts, A WAY BETTER FINISH, BETTER ACCURACY & is better quality. In My Honest Opinion. Accuracy on the Beretta is SUPERIOR!!!

    Just purchased a storm compact and it fails to chamber a round (slide will not close unless you push on the rear of the slide). Held over an hour and opted for a call back. No luck. Cleaned and oiled well as described and still jams every 5th or 6th shot. Headed out to trade for something that works.

    I have the sub-compact .40 s&w and it is a great gun all around, it is my everyday carry. I have one minor complaint about it though, a few times now when I take the take down pin out, it comes all the way out, along with the small c-clip that is supposed to hold it in there. And it is a PAIN IN THE ASS to get that clip back in there. It sometimes pops out even if I go very slow with taking the pin out. I kind of wish the slide take down was like the compact and full. Other than that though, it's an awesome firearm and I have never had any malfunctions as far as firing it goes.

    Slide catch engages in the middle of a magazine, will usually do it 3 or 4 times in 13 rounds. Should there be a spring that returns the catch to the lower position or is it just gravity controlled until the magazine is empty? Love the weapon, just can't depend on it right now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. p.s. I use the Beretta cleaning kit, and throughly clean after each range trip. PX4 Storm Subcompact.

    • @Boobtube.
      @Boobtube. 9 років тому

      about 1/2 inch. you can buy a 20 rounder end plate(+3) and spring from berreta. Than install it, using your original 15 round spring onto a stock 15 round mag. This will get you a 18 round mag that fits and looks perfect(no gap) on you compact storm. Beretta sells this (+3)end plate for the factory full size 17 round mag, to make it a 20 round mag. But you can just modify a 15 round mag from your compact with this part, to make your compact hold 3 more rounds and have it look professional like it was made for the gun. I do not know why beretta just does not sell 18 round extended capacity mags for the compact like they sell 20 round extended mags for the full size. So, just make your own. just be sure to use the original 15 round spring with the extended end plate as compressing the 20 round spring for a 18 round capacity might not work out to good. I did this and there are no FTF or FTE issues. Gun fires perfect with a custom made 18 round mag that fits the compact like a factory fit.

    I just purchased a 9mm Px4 Storm and out the box the gun does not properly rack. The slide gets jammed when trying to rack. I can see the bullet attempting to fit into place but the slide needs and extra push to rack. I oiled it and took it shooting in hopes that it just needed to be "broken in". On the range the gun fires and then jams after to shots. I continued to rack it manually pushing on the slide whenever it jams. I am very disappointed that after firing almost 100 rounds it continued to jam. Please let me know what I can do to fix the problem. Thank you. - Anthony

    I bought a used Sub Compact . the first round I fired it did not eject the empty casing 9 mm.. I had three full magazines had issues with empty casings not ejecting and loaded round jamming say 3 times with each magazine.. I did the basic break down and cleaned and lubed but it was cleaned and lubed when I purchased it.. I can't see anything wrong with it ..
    I looked on shooters blogs and all they talked about was wrong ammo .. it's 9 mm x 19 the most common 9 mm ammo ... I am at a total loss why it's so unreliable ..
    Will have to depend on a Ruger for a carry gun no issues with that round and round no problems .. it's smaller more compact single stack 9 mm.. I like many of the features of the Px4 I would have preferred the full size with 4' barrel ..
    I did also clean a Taurus PT 111 Pro I have had for many years.. it's chamber was a bit loser than the Beretta was.. 115 grain ammo two different brands..ball

    I have new (2012-13) PX4 Storm 40 cal. After cleaning the pistol a couple weeks ago the gun will not completely feed from the magazine causing it to miss feed or no feed into the chamber. The slide will either stay open or will not eject the spent round. I have cycled over thousand rounds threw it before this stated happening. I notice that my slide lock pen does not engauge a round filled magazine correctly or when the magazine is not in the magazine well the slide lock pen is very lose like it want's to fall out. I shot 180 grain rounds threw it to see if that was the problem, it's not. I had to pull the slide back after every other round. Has this happened to anyone else?

      For a quick after range cleaning it's fine. For thorough cleaning I always recommend bore brushes and solvent.

      +Dave Knowl It's placed in the box to prevent possible heavy weights placed on top of the gun box from crushing it, during transport.

    My PX4 Storm full has a 17 round magazine, NOT 14 rounds.

    • @BerettaCommunity
      @BerettaCommunity  7 років тому +3

      You probably have the 9mm version. The 40 cal. models have 14 rounds

    • @rickemery8968
      @rickemery8968 7 років тому

      You are correct - I have a 9 mm. Any chance you could find out for me when the PX4 Storm Compact Carry 9 mm will be available with the Type F decocker AND safety?

    • @BerettaCommunity
      @BerettaCommunity  7 років тому

      You can turn your G-model Compact Carry into an F model by using conversion kits (one of them is here: www.berettausa.com/en-us/safety-assy-px4-f-large-le-part-c5d666-c5d667/c8a000/)
      The drawback is that you will lose the 'low-profile' lever.

    • @rickemery8968
      @rickemery8968 7 років тому

      Thanks, I had heard that this was possible, but when I spend $900 on the new Compact Carry pistol I am going to want the low profile levers. Plus the link says this part is out of stock.

    • @rickemery8968
      @rickemery8968 7 років тому

      Thanks, I really do appreciate your input. I found a PX4 Compact Carry 9 mm that I want to purchase and the current $75 rebate helps. But, everywhere I looked it said that these conversion kits are always out of stock. There are a lot of complaints online about the lack of availability. There are also a lot of comments about very poor Beretta customer Service so now I am a little apprehensive. Most of the complaints regard the finish coming off the pistol so I am optimistic that with this new model that will not be a problem. Any advice on how to get one of these conversion kits if Beretta doesn't ever have them in stock and the other outlets all say "Out of Stock"??

    Own a PX4 Storm? First thing to do is get rid of the plastic recoil spring rod. Contact Beretta for an all metal replacement. My PX4 Storm.40 was my concealed carry for years until the rod totally disintegrated at the range one day. I replaced it with an all metal rod from Beretta, but lost confidence in the weapon. Moved on to a S&W M&P 2.0 in a .40 cal.

    Your editor cuts too soon on vital moments that the viewer ends up missing. You should have a 3rd angle on a telephoto lens showing closeups of what you are doing
