ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Almost anything can be a "trigger' for a persons ASMR everybody is different, you just have to find yours.
As with all my video, my intentions is always to provide you a little home away from home, where you can kick back relax and always find a new and unique experience as i guide you with sights & sound to a relaxing location where my objective is to let you feel gentle waves of relaxation & ASMR until you close your eye to fall into a peaceful sleep.

So I'm not sure what it's called but the way you talk is so crazy relaxing. Aside from your voice it's how you talk. Like your inflections, the pauses you put in your speech, the way you carefully set your tones. It's just so relaxing and comforting

The Rode NT-USB is a condenser microphone in case your question hasn't been answered yet. I have the same microphone. It's easy to use like you said, but I wish it was omni-directional like the Blue Yeti.

Probably Dmitri knows this by now but for those curious the RØDE NT-USB mic (the one he's unboxing), it's a condenser microphone.
Difference is that Dynamic Mics fit better for loud sounds like recording vocals and/or instruments in a studio setting whereas Condenser Mics fit better to delicate sounds like podcast audio in a studio setting. I think, anyway....
I would personally assume condenser mics are the way to go if you plan to make ASMR :p (considering they're better at delicate sounds vs loud sounds yknow, if my knowledge is correct that is)

This new USB mic? I like it. It's... a "Softer" sound- gentler if that makes sense. It obviously is rather limited, as a USB mic, but it's really nice to have a clear, yet softer sound.
I'd love to see it in some non-binaural videos. Totally worth it

The NTG3 has way more depth and stereo feeling, the bass is also much better while speeking. But whispering and other things felt almost the same.

I like the ntg-3 mic as well because it's a deeper richer sound to me which is pleasant to listen to for myself. The USB one is quiet and mutes your voice more. I tend to like to turn up my volume as high as it will go when listening to ASMR. But just my opinion. Love your work!

The reason the microphone is put to your speaker output is because it can be used as an output. Not as a speaker, but if you plug headphones into the side of he microphone (the RØDE NT USB has a headphone jack slot for feedback) it can be used to play your computer audio through any headphones plugged in there.

Might be a bit late. But the mic changes the sound of the PC cause you also have a headphone jack build in and you can listen to the PC sound. I use this feature quite often cause I'm a hobby voice actor and you can adjust the sound strength of what you get from the PC and what the mic picks up itself so it's not a problem more than another feature you have to turn off if you don't want it. But anyway a really nice video once again :D

It's a condenser mic. It will give you that cool proximity effect to bring out that awesome bass in your voice!
my blue yeti mic does the same thing to my output settings, I think it may be more of an operating system flaw or at least all mics of the like have that same issue
