Hey Shawn, Glad you’re creating new content, I love it all. I’m a U.S. service rifle enthusiast (old school, M1A & M1 Garand). Do what keeps you fired up in our reloading world, viewer feedback is good, but do your thing. I will continue to watch what “you” choose to focus on. Have fun!
Glad your are back making some videos. Missed seeing you on the bench. Would like to see some more shot shell loading like you done on 12 gauge. Really enjoy learning from your channel. Thank you for all the videos and hard work on them.
You’re right on the high dollar equipment. It’s been my lament on a lot of these channels. Selling high dollar stuff isn’t for your average reloader or shooter.
I love expensive gear and I'm not trying to crap on anyone who buys it. I just don't want noobs to think you have to have it to start with, or that it will make your reloads better in any recognizable way. A lot of really crappy golfers spend $1K a year on new clubs that won't make them any better, but it makes the hobby more enjoyable for them. Reloading is the same. It feels good to have the nice and desirable thing sometimes.
@ I agree, it just gets kind of silly at times. An example is the $2900 bench rest I saw the other day. I thought I was a big dog when I bought a Dog Gone Good bag shooting bag a couple years ago.
Appreciate your input on reloading ideas and techniques. I’m just a B&L reloader but I do have quality tools. My MEC press is my prized tool, along with my antique Star Reloader. B&L…Bubba and Leroy.
7MM Backcountry is dimensionally very close to .280 AI but designed to use a steel alloy case to use a max pressure of 80K PSI. 175gr bullets at 3000 fps from a 20" barrel I think. Supposedly the cases will be reloadable, but we will see.
Hey Shannon, big favor to ask. If you decide to stop your channel or take a long break, which i totally understand if that's the case. Life gets busy and chaotic. I've been around seen the early days and learned how to reload watching your channel and just got into Shotshell when you did that. I mean you have 143k subscribers so just a quit note so we know you didn't blow your face off. I mean you don't owe us anything but just as a favor let us know. Thanks
Well while you have the 22cal stuff out, might as well go ahead and start a creedmoor. I finally got my 22creed AR all finished today and loaded up some 90 bergers and 80 eldm to try tomorrow.
I know you mentioned not wanting more components until you burn through what you have, but I have some of the 6.5mm 110 Hammer Hunters I would send you if you want to try a good bullet for your Grendel.
Nope. After September I never saw him on camera in the daylight. He went completely nocturnal. I spotted him once during the rut but didn't get a shot. He was huge!
I've been wanting to get into bolt guns. Started reloading to help with the transition to making my own cartridges for a bolt rifle. What is a good all-around cartridge that's cost effective to reload and also effective on elk?
@KingdomKillaz117 my family hunted elk with 30-06 for many years. I'm sure a 270 with a proper bullet would be just fine for elk. I would go with the 150-175gr weight range.
His Musk box couldn't keep up with streaming and comments coming in.... Maybe? I wonder if Shannon has placed His Satellite dish in a different position as yet? It wasn't fully set up last time
Im way late but i got the RCBS lite Auto Charger for $200 after Rebate last month from Midway. For an extraa $50 i would eather buy the RCBS than amazon junk
Yup. And the FA Intellidropper is pretty close in price as well. I don't know if the intellidropper is any good, but I doubt it's worse than the amazon Lyman Gen6 clone.
Might have a project for you a Tactical loads for Faxon 308 20” Aero M5 with 308 Lake city pull-down brass CCI #34 RamShot Tac Speer #2040 168gr Target Match BTHP need 2650fps to mate up with my Primary Arms 1-10x28 Raptor LVPO Recticle I could send you everything listed above

@JohnnysReloadingBench I have a Remington that shot like crap no matter what I did and how careful I was with my loads. That is until I tried Hornady 130 grain ELDM and Sierra 130 grain TGK, and voila. Suddenly it's shooting under half MOA. No matter what I do to it. I can load using my kitchen scale and it still works. Sometimes it's just what your barrel likes.
If you need more stink bugs, let me know. We’ve a plenty here in Oregon. Hope this works for you. Watched your stuff when you were active a while back. Can’t hear any audio but your voice.
Johnny !!!!!!!!!!! Man I’m so happy you’re back !!!

It's Shannon not Shawn

Thank you for the correction.
We love your content dude. Been watching 6-8 year old video's of yours for awhile!

Can't believe i missed this! Great to see a new video from you.
I really enjoyed the live chat! I'm glad it ran long because I joined at about an hour and a half in. Glad you're back.
Once a soldier always a soldier. Good to know you protected our country. You are now a part of our family.

Hate I missed the chat but sssssssooooooo glad you are back.
1:51:00 One of the main reasons I gravitated to your channel many years ago was because you had Lee products and down to earth equipment
Dude so glad your back
I am loading a 100gr TTSX over the Staball Match in 6.5 Creedmoor and it is superbly accurate and super fast. Hodgdon has load data for it.
On the 224 Valkyrie primer pockets being loose you can use your pocket swager to tighten them up
Missed the live stream had to work tonight. I laughed when reminded of the rcbs editing livestream. I was a “ram greaser” in the credits.
Thanks for the stream Brother!
@@thethinbrownduke6412 was he streaming on UA-cam or twitch ?
All this auto charger talk, am I the only one still using an old school RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure? Once set it's super consistent.
I mount mine on the press under the die and drop each charge before seating the bullet. It's a huge time saver.
HE'S ALIVE
😮Caldwell one is more like the Labrador
Couldn’t be here live. On UK time. Looking forward to some gear reviews.
Video starts at 7:50

Wow. Pre-Show Video was showing a Big Buck. Did you get him?
Nope. After September I never saw him on camera in the daylight. He went completely nocturnal. I spotted him once during the rut but didn't get a shot. He was huge!
@JohnnysReloadingBench Maybe This Year!!
Shoot, missed this
I want another 300 blackout series
👍👍🤙🤙✋✋😎😎
I want that bottle of varmint
Any chance you'd consider removing the super chat robot announcement.
Dang missed this live

If under 300yds 260,7-08,308 with high SD bullets setup on a medium length action or long mag to allow 3" COAL
@cfranklin7450 Thanks, I was also looking at 270.

Too many people saying goodbye

Only like 5 seconds got cut off at the end.

You need to try the solid copper bullets from McGuire Ballistics
I'll add them to the list of possibilities. Their prices are about 25% higher than most others, it looks like.
@ yea I use them just for hunting applications and have had great luck on multiple whitetail deer and hogs.
7mm back country is really close to 280AI
More 300 blackpit sub vids please
Super expensive reloading gear is just rich kid toys, not necessary. And I cant stand You Tube channels that push such gear.
