This mold would make a great clock mold with either the leaves or branches having the numbers embedded in the branches or leaves.

It would be so pretty hung up in the center of a group of family photos.
I think using a soft brush to get the darker paint into the grooves is the way to go, highlights the grooves better......AWESOME

I hope someone in the UK purchases your mould and then sells the completed tree so I can buy one, this is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Like many others I love the tree of life, the beauty is there are so many different ways that artist use the concept and many lovely versions of it. When my parents commissioned a silver nurses buckle for me the design was inspired by the tree of life, hands down the best gift I was ever given.

You could always try polymer clay to get a similar effect. Much cheaper (depending on brand) and you can work with as few or as many tools as you can buy/store. However you have to be good at sculpting to take full advantage of it, though you can use molds with it too. You also have to decide if you want to use full color clays or go for a single color (white or gray for example) and paint it afterwards. Still, it's a decent alternative to express your creativity. 😅
I had the same issue with space for a long time. Then my wonderful girlfriend gave up her small desk for me to use, bc it had just become a place to put the mail. I think a lot of people have that spot in their home where mail, magazines & catalogs go to die. 😆 It's a very small space, and I can only make 1 large piece or a few small at a time, but I make it work. I'm grateful. Oh! The hardest part was funding a spot that was level!! 🤦🏻♀️ We found out that our house is just slanted all over, lol. So, this desk has all kinds of things under the legs to keep it level. I have to check it every time I sit down to pour. 😆 Good luck! ✌🏻
I don’t have much space either but I do have a small table in my bedroom to do my art on.
My bedroom is a bedroom/art room lol.
Just start small, a couple of cheap moulds from eBay and some Uv resin, and a UV torch, or pay a bit more and buy a resin set, it comes with moulds and a nail lamp, mine was $30 on eBay, it’s how I started and it’s good to start small in case you don’t enjoy it, things like mica powders and pigments are cheap on eBay then if you enjoy it you can buy a small lot of resin and go from there, I also make homemade soap and have realised that soap mica powders are cheaper that resin ones and they work fine 🤷🏼♀️ 😊

As a general rule, I learned to use washes for shadows and dry brushing for highlights.

Wow, Julie, you did it again! My goodness, woman, you never cease to amaze me with these molds. This is fabulous, gorgeous, stunning! Beautiful job, again. Black would look good in the leaves, IMHO, lol. There are some beautiful, sparkly or shiny waxes that you can use in lieu of the paint. Will also seal your mica powders. 😍
