    Excellent advice. One thing though is trust the process. I only really started to swim front crawl Dec 2022. Although I have completed a Olympic distance triathlon my swimming is slow and yes I do have anxiety at times. It is getting better. I find at those moments I do the breast stroke for a minute then continue front crawl. I hope this winter of pool swimming I might progress further.

    I find that the hostility at the swim portion plays a big part. Getting pushed, knocked by people, getting boxed in even if I swim on the edges of the pack. It's borderline hand to hand combat sometimes.
