- This episode of "Why We Roam" features MAK and Owen of "Bound for Nowhere". It all started with a simple road trip after college. They spent 6 months living in a Honda Element, driving 14,000 miles, visiting 21 National Parks and 36 states. Two years later, they had desk jobs, two cars, and a house, wondering why they didn't continue their road trip. One night they stayed up and wrote out a plan for how to live on the road full time and take their careers with them.
On April 19th, 2016, two years after the night they made that plan, a van had been purchased and overhauled, they’d gotten married, they’d both quit their jobs, they'd started two new freelance careers and it was the first day they called the road home. They haven't looked back since.
While living on the road, they've traveled to Alaska and most recently, Mexico, documenting their journey through film along the way.
