i read an article with an artist who painted with colored gesso on yupo paper.
her name is Jo Toye.
I thought it sounded really fun, so I had to try it.
I used way too much gesso so I'll do better next time.

instead of painting with the mixture I wanted to pour my gesso mixture on the yupo paper, I was inspired by Bette Ridgeway (you can find her here on UA-cam) who also pours paint and distributes it with a foam brush and a regular brush.

I hope you enjoyed my first attempt at this method.

I used Academy series paper (like yupo paper)
schmincke acrylic ink and a little binder + water
liquitex and golden gesso.

This reminded me of me doing a small pour in which I had a diluted glue as the base paint, instead of white acrylic. The result was fascinating. This was 3 years back. I'll try this and that method as well.
