Digging through your attic you found a box set of an old children's TV show, Amanda the Adventurer, starring a brave girl named Amanda and a cowardly sheep named Wooly. You don't recall any specific episodes or characters in the show. Or what happens in the show exactly. Or much about it at all come to think about it, but it still feels strangely familiar. When Amanda's jumpscare appears in the computer in episode 4, it was just our reflection. Lime if it was a mirror, a haunted computer.

I don't think you ARE amanda or shes behind you the whole time, I personally just think its an asset due to budget/convenience( so the camera can turn around to face amanda at the ending shot before cutting off and they don't have to spawn her in.)
HOWEVER I do believe that The creature is a fusion of Amanda and all the "woolies" and children she's killed/wooly in general so she can become more powerful, because if you look at her nose it looks exactly like woolies, and the multiple eyes could be the eyes of wooly and the children shes taken, forced to watch in eternal suffering as Amanda feeds on more victims.

Btw, this "wool" on Amanda's face is actually her eyes because this area of the face have a special texture that gives it more light reflectiveness
Also, for some reason, almost all the assets in the room are written in Russian, but in English letters (transliteration)
A little strange, but it's probably because this room was stolen or bought somewhere, and the authors of the game just decided not to change the names of the objects

I'd like to mention, it looks like the player is looking at Amanda/the monster through the screen. Maybe Amanda/the monster trades places with us and puts us in the tapes?
Notice the backrooms wallpaper? im guessing amanda/the monster is a creature from the backrooms.

What if the whole game is a dream. If it was it would kind of explain the game because that's why the player/us are seeing the monsters. They are only nightmares (also try deleting the tapes normally and while in the tv) EDIT: When i posted this comment I didn't see the part where you removed the tapes
5:34 The wall paper in the tv when the monster appears is the same wall paper of the room so maybe what we see at the end is a reflection.

My guess is that your watching the video, and the monster is inside your house, watching you while you’re watching the video. So at the end or the secret tape, which the monster doesnt want you to see, it kills you.

The reason the monster is behind the player the whole time is so that the game only ever has to render 1 room
Why isn't the monster at the end just an image? No idea
I don't know much about game design, but I know that game developers keep things used in as close as they can to an area without it being visible, and they probably just kept that there with the general Idea being that they appear behind us at the end of episode 3
