- Our trip through the US is coming to an end. 🇺🇸 We are so sad to leave... 🥲 The last 4 weeks were absolutely amazing! It was just like we always imagined. We are so happy and grateful for this adventure 💛 We will definitely come back to the US, because this country has so much to offer!

If you get tired of fast food, you can stop at any major grocery store and they'll usually have things like whole rotisserie chickens, either cold or still hot. The chickens are herbed and marinated before cooking. Add a tub of either potato salad (German-style will have some mustard added for flavor) or cole slaw or macaroni salad. Add some dinner rolls and you've got a full meal for two with leftovers for later (if a fridge in your motel/hotel room).
Or, if you have a microwave available, you can get packages of bbq brisket or pulled pork in the cold section of the store. Add sides of your choosing, and again, full meal for two with leftovers.
All for about the price of fast food for two people.
Also, next time in the US west coast, gotta try El Polo Loco. Chicken, skin on, marinated in herbs and lime juice, cooked over open flame. Good stuff.

Happy to see y’all had a great time in the States. The West is something else. I live in the Deep South so our landscape is quite different. I don’t get to see all that. Look forward to watching the rest of y’all’s videos. Tschüs!

@@isabelleandflo It’s great. The landscape isn’t quite as dramatic (though the swamps and Spanish moss draping from the massive live oaks can often be dramatic) but the people are quite different and the food of course is way better. Louisiana is the most unique and interesting state, and not just New Orleans. Charleston, SC is also really amazing, as well as the Great Smokey Mountains and western North Carolina. The mountains aren’t as big as the West but I like them better because they’re more lush and mystical. They’re completely forested and just really beautiful. Transylvania county in North Carolina is not to be missed. There’s also a beautiful drive in the Shenandoah Valley called Skyline Drive.
