Love hearing the parent stories. Being 52, my dad was a hard working truck driver. Kids played with kids and parents hung out. Dad would give ya a few sips of beer. And smack ya when you got out of line. No snowflakes, no counselors, no whiners like today.
You sound like the type who'd defend child abuse and DV. And no snowflakes and whiners? I'd say plenty existed back then considering certain folks would throw a fit if people of color were in the same swimming pool and used the same drinking fountain. There was also open racism/segregation, women were seen as nothing more than child bearers and the LGBT community had to keep themselves hidden. So don't act like the past was some perfect utopia.
TRIPPIN BALLS!! Haha, love the Zet name origin story... I'm an acid veteran, myself! =) Exodus - Gen. Kill - Hatriot - Mobile Deathcamp... THERE'S your line-up!! C'mon!! =) Another great episode, Rob... Cheers!!
Rob I've been a huge fan of comedy for over half my life and it makes me happy that my favorite frontman is a comedy fan. It makes me even happier that you told people not to heckle
Great episode, Rob! Just an FYI that the fingernail picture for this episode says episode 11, but the description for this episode says episode 12. Keep up the great work! \m/
You two should do a multi-state bike trip together and video blog it, view scenery and historical sites and tell stories at each stop. Also, I would like Rob Dukes to dedicate a complete show to THEY LIVE. When I was watching the Lars Hendrekson episode and the conversation went dystopian, I thought maybe the movie would come up, now today I see Rob wearing that t-shirt as I watch this chat with Zetro. Plus I know Steve has some of the boxed action figures as background from time to time on Zetro's Toxic Vault. I am curious if you would be interested in peeling back the layers of this movie starring the late great Roddy Piper. We live in a period of direct-sustained mass social engineering and all of us have real life aquaintances that seem to have an interest in playing for both sides. John Carpenter doesn't like to talk about They Live and he scoffs it off as being 'just a horror movie'. This is a movie where one of the characters in the shanty/camp is downplaying, spreading disinfo and rumors of death cults, and scoffing at TV hackers... who later on is revealed to be a tuxedo-wearing shareholder who is invested in the conglomerate that engineered oppression of the unemployed blue collar class who are living in outdoor tent encampments -- and the flipside to this was the hard-ass magazine shop keeper (Sy Richardson) who is seen later on as a dedicated member of the resistance. Outside of the extraterrestrial element of the movie, it's loaded with clues and dirty tricks throughout the movie, and it follows a schematic which parallels real life conditioning protocols, whether it be disinfo agents and paid bloggers, wiki-fact/flexible history, and social credit score based on a grading system noting hushed lips or contrived outrage.
Class act mate just love yer delivery. Check out Scottish football referees their the worst in the world, inconsistent and biased, fuckin joke football 😂 Great work Dukes hope to see you tour Scotland soon duder 😎🤘👍
This was cool! Exodus/Generation Kill/Hatriot tour needs to happen!
Great Zet interview, love these laid-back conversational podcasts.
