    I used old towels instead of cotton batting because I needed to make a dozen. Your pattern was so simple to follow along and easy to replicate quickly. Great video, functional oven mitts, easy instructions, quick assembly. Thank you for taking your time to give this tutorial

    I've made several different patterns of these - turning from inside out. Not my favorite way. But, with your version - so much easier! Thanks! Can't wait to use my food material stash.🍐🍉🍉🍎🍇

    I’ve been watching various tutorials on oven mitts. I like your technique the best. I couldn’t even find any that I liked in stores - all too big for my small hands. So, thanks. I’ll be able to adapt this pattern for size and maybe make some gifts, as well.

    Thank you! I am trying this pattern today. I had horrible luck with insulbrite a few days ago. Broke 3 needles. Had 2 layers of batting in addition to insulbrite so I'm trying your method today. Hoping it works better! Thanks for the pattern and tutorial.

    Thank You for such a easy method; I found when I got to the end of sewing my oven mitts. I zigzag the end of the mitt. As I don't have a free arm zigzag was my only option.

    I wouldnt think you need batting and insul brite both. I just used double insul brite, it handles heat very well. Batting is too thick

    You might want to read the directions on the insul bright. You have layered them in the wrong order.

    • @gingercakesews
      @gingercakesews  4 роки тому

      Good tip!

    • @dcwatashi
      @dcwatashi 4 роки тому +3

      @@gingercakesews yes ask me how I know this??? I made a pair of them for my best friend and he said that he could feel the heat from the pan. I thought that the insul bright that I had, didn't matter which side you used and then I just reread the directions two days ago and realized I had the layers in the correct order but I had the insul bright backwards.
      I have watched probably7 or 8 tutorials in the last week because I'm trying to make something different and every single one has outer fabric first followed by insulbright followed by cotton batting.

  • @elainec.8801
    @elainec.8801 Рік тому +1

    You may want to change the layout order. Works better if the InsulBrite is under the outer fabric and the batting is between the InsulBrite and the lining.
