Superb. No fuss just straightforward demonstration. I’m going to make half a dozen of these in Xmas fabric for the family ❤❤
Debbie, you show us such wonderful ideas. That you so much for that. Keep up the great work. I know the sacrifice you give to provide us with your knowledge. thank you
Thanks so much!
Thank you for all your wonderful video. You make things do simple and doable. I don’t need to buy all kinds of expensive supplies so it makes doing your projects fun and enjoyable
Thanks, looks very professional and the quilting tutorial was a great help! 🇦🇺
Thank you great video of oven mits.
This project has caught my eye @ 1st glance. I was needing a fresh idea for a couple of Christmas gifts, for both daughters. They know that I always make something “homemade” for them. The both receive something for the family as a gift that all can enjoy, but this will help to provide a more personal touch that also is functional, long past the holidays. Who knows, I may just sew one up for myself, just because. Thank you for an idea to use/make up for many occasions…😊💕
Thankyou, I'm sure your daughters will love them!
Really enjoy your tutorials! You make it all look so easy!, love the oven mitt!
The binding is such a nice finish. Thank you for another project! I’m also a hand stitcher. It’s so relaxing.
Yesterday I made a new apron. This oven glove is ideal for the leftover material. Can't wait to start. Thanks Debbie
Such cute and useful oven mitts! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Debbie, fantastic tutorial as always. I'm thinking these would not only make great gifts, but ideal to donate to charity shops for sale. Just a thought. Greetings from North Wales.
Soooo lovely thank you.😊
Thanks Debbie for the great video. Taking a little extra time hand stitching is definitely worthwhile. 🪡
Thank you Debbie! Beautiful fabric
Wow Debbie brilliant tutorial. Thank you, keep them coming 😇
Great tutorial, just what I was looking for. Love your new website shop too ❤️
Thank you for this updated video. Made so many of these from your previous video, great gifts if you match fabric to user :) I prefer to stitch both sides of binding as my hand sewing is none too delicate but everyone loved getting them.
I so enjoyed this tutorial! Bravo!!!
I love this project very good idea for giving as a gift as well as to sell . Thanks for the lovely tutorial really appreciated 😘😘😘
Lovely demo Debbie. Thanks
Thanks for this wonderful video! I enjoyed watching this. I have a book with all the patterns and all about kitchen and home decor items but I got discouraged tbh as I couldn’t understand the instruction provided in the book. And your video was much clearer and I loved the machine quilting version. So cute with bees and sunflower 🌻! Very inspirational! I just subscribed! 💜🌻🌼🌻🌼
Great tutorial. Thank you Debbie
Thank you for sharing this project!

Very nice lesson. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing!
I've just made my sister a garden kneeling pad and gardeners apron following your tutorials and bought the sunflower and bee fabric from you for the project and now I am going to make some oven gloves for her too. Thank you Debbie, you are a true inspiration.
Thankyou!
yes!ty.
素晴らしい👍 感動しました。挑戦してみます。ありがとうございます。
I'm loving this project! Been planning on making a new oven glove but will make one instead! I also enjoy hand sewing the back of bias binding. I did it with a crazy patchwork quilt and I'd keep it in my lap while watching tv or something and my cat would jump up on top of it. So we'd do it together, though she was mostly snoozing through it.
I do have a question: When you quilt the fabrics, do you backstitch at all?
lovely presentation style
Bellissimo grazie mille!
terima kasih debby atas tutorialnya,, sangat mudah difahami semua tutorial2 yg debby bawakan.saya sangat suka itu.
Thank you!
For the hand stitiching did you use single thread or did you double it? Thanks for this video.
Ive been shown to put 2 layers of batting not just one. Which is correct? x
Does the wadding make a rustling noise? I bought insulbright but it rustles so I'm looking for an alternative...!
They are so beautiful ❤️🙏 I like you hand stitches the binding, what is the stitches called so i can look them up closely? Haven't done them before😁
I was wondering if you could come up with another design of this with a thumb as I find that I need it to have a little more control. I have some pot holders you put your hand in a it is awkward for getting say a flat pizza pan out of my oven. Where as an added thumb would allow for a better grip. If you understand what I mean?
Just wondering if you could make oven gloves with fingers. Could you make some on a live Wednesday at 4pm. Also can you put bias binding on around the fingers.
Hi Debbie on which side do you put the aluminium bathing inside or outside.
Yes, I have this question, too. I couldn't tell, but I wonder if Debbie paid attention to which direction the reflective side of the batting faced. My guess is, we want to place the foil side (reflective side) away from the pockets, so that the reflective face is toward the hot pot and not toward the hands. She didn't specify, but based on watching carefully, it looks to me like she ended up with the foil side of the batting toward the table, and the pockets opposite. And for completeness, the foil side of the pockets would probably want to face up to the sky (ceiling). So the layers would be: table, material, foil, batting, material, pocket space, material, batting, foil, material, ceiling.
When cutting ,what is the lengths and width of larger and small pieces??
Cut i use a overlocker to sew the "pockets " on for less bulk I think🤔😁
why put oven glove /instabright lining on the top of the pocket, cos that bit doesnt actually come in contact with a hot plate/pan
Ojalá sea en español, y ponga las medidas.
I don’t speak Spanish I’m afraid…
Why do you use InsilBrite in the mit pieces, they won't be touching anything hot.
It does get pretty warm when your hands are in the oven though
@@debbieshore well sorry but I don't stand with my hands in the oven to see how hot it gets.
How do you know how many layers of heat reflective wadding? Cut out the basics and try the sandwich of fabric on a hot pot next time you cook. If I can feel heat from the pot, I know I'll feel heat on a hotter sheet pan from the oven, so I'd add more wadding. 💖🌞🌵😷
Thats a good idea, the wadding I used had manufactureres instructions...
@@debbieshore, I must have sensitive hands. Sending lots of love 💖 from sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵. 😷
