@@AskYourComputerGuy hey man i dont care about any data loss on my pc, i've wiped out my hard drive and reinstalled windows but there's this thing called PUA:Win32/Webcompanion even after wiping out everything, why? and will this fix
Why would a computer guy help you fix your computer, instead of making the money himself? because he actually cares. It's hard finding people like this. he could have kept this great information to himself. I bet your local computer guy would not have shared this with you. You have earned both my respect and a new subscriber.
He makes money from UA-cam videos. Probably more than waiting for someone to bring in a computer 🖥️ Just a thought my nephew is Andy from Popcorn Planet. I think UA-cam pays pretty good once you get up and started.
UA-cam creators don't make as much as you think. Certainly not at my level. Ive grinded for 3 years just to try and build my channel. Every video I made up until recently, I made pennies on. I actually care about helping people with their Windows problems. But I don't want to fix computers for the rest of my life either
While you may be willing to try these I have customers that would go to a "deer in the highlights" reaction and STILL bring it to me to fix it. They just don't feel up to the task of figuring out how to use these tools.
I just saw this video and I realized the script basically does the whole 'windows tango' that I been taught to do. The two major benefit is that now It's only a few clicks that need to be done, and I don't have to spend the entire day clicking each program. I'm sold on this and thanks for the info. It'll help the next time I end up being the 'family tech support'
I might need more help on this I don't want to accidently make it worse for me I don't receive any Wi-Fi even though I still have the Wi-Fi signal could it be hacked?
Excellent video. I've spent years doing exactly this on so many peoples computers where they just click everything they see. Having a USB with the tools you use on it is essential since many viruses will block internet access or max out the RAM making it so slow, downloading anything will take precious time and could lead to complete destruction of the HD. The only thing I'd add is to turn off the internet connection and restart in safe mode without networking to completely isolate the computer. There are viruses that will continue to redownload and rename themselves and install in various locations in an attempt to fool the antivirus or cleaning tool you use.
Thats the reason I keep an external usb with my files backed up. It's quicker and easier to wipe your computer and reinstall fresh. Screw anti virus software. Most are scams just to get a monthly fee.
@@jcarlos4458 Special Considerations The ideal Tron environment is a system that's functional enough to run while "normally" booted (i.e., not in Safe Mode), be able to open an elevated Command Prompt window, and has an active and functional internet connection. This is where you should always make a first attempt to run Tron. Sometimes Tron won't run in this environment due to compromises and issues that already exist in the system, in which case you should try... ...the next-best environment, which is a system that meets the above criteria except for the active and functional internet connection. Without an internet connection you won't have access to the absolute latest bloatware and malware removal lists, but you'll have the lists that are included with Tron which should be enough to at least get your system stabilized. Again, if Tron won't run properly in such an environment due to a compromised system, then try... ...the next-next-best environment which is a system that can only be used while booted in "Safe Mode with Networking". If Tron still has issues running in this environment, then try... ...the "bottom rung" environment which is a system that can only be used while booted in plain "Safe Mode" (no networking).
Installed so many different malware removal tools, watched different videos, read different blogs ,nothing worked, then finally found this gem of a video, fixed my issue instantly, Thank you so much !!!
Can't even install them on the PC , the virus took over the usb the instant I tried to extract it into it . Well it wouldn't let me extract it . It's some nasty shit .
I stumbled upon this UA-cam video on accident and it's by far the best, most concise, helfpul and user-friendly tutorial I have ever come across. The before and after is remarkable! Thank you so very much!
Having fixed hundreds of computers, I can confidently say that the techniques shown in the video are not easily replicable by everyone. Despite the steps being straightforward, there are individuals who will find it challenging, if not impossible, to follow along. Nonetheless, speaking as someone who also repairs PCs, I found this video to be excellent.
I appreciate the support. That's why I do screen cap walk thrus and am available for any follow up questions. If I made a video like this "idiot-simple", it'd be 6 hours long...and nobody has the patience for that 😂
You can't even imagine how grateful I'm to you! Watched countless tutorials and tried everything, ran various virus scans but couldn't find any solution... Been having the following problem: - CPU was at 100% everytime until opening the Task Manager. But even worse, the Task Manager was closing itself after a couple of minutes and then everyting was starting over again. - Everytime I was opening the Folder "C/ ProgramData" it was closing inmediately - Couldn't Install the antivirus "MalwareBytes", installer was closing inmediately after the start - Even could't run the reboot for Windows, it was also closing right at the start Definetely some kind of virus or miner preventing any action to be taken against,, so as you can I started feeling helpless and very concerned Again, very appreciative of the information that you've put on for us!!!
Dude you are a life saver. I Watched the vid once and knew exactly what to do. Rewatched it while setting in rkill and tron. Then Mentally prepared to exterminate the virus. Then went to action with rkill and tron. My computer is running great again and I can now do work and play my games again! You’re a life saver my guy thank you for this vid!!!
very good vid - clear, complete instructions that anybody can follow. As a former IT computer support person, I appreciate watching this kind of well made computer maintenance video. Thanks
Well I specialize in break/fix repair. The term IT is very broad. Break/fix, network administration, software development, all kinds of different areas one can go into
@@AskYourComputerGuy yes - true - as a computer support person at a network of TAFE colleges in Australia I worked in PC support, network support/administration - both involved lots of work in both the hardware and software aspects of those IT areas. I also did some programming at a younger age but did not like that as a full time job - very individual, isolated and having to meet some difficult timelines.
Suggestion from someone in the business 31 years...find an aspect of IT you absolutely love, and do that. Don't worry about the money, it will find you if you are good enough ;)
Very interesting video! Great tutorial. I work in the IT help desk. I would add is that it’s a good idea to change your important passwords after you’re done and then probably run a full scan one last time, removing anything else it may find. Again, great video!
Great video. I’m currently hacked. The guy scammed me 2 month ago while opening an Etsy shop, a chat box opened and this dude started chatting with me, and he literally could see what I was doing on the computer, not sure how they do that. Somehow he guided me towards giving him up to @£200. He said I shouldn’t worry, as that amount would not come out of my account, but he just needed to verify that I was a real person, and not a scammer trying to open an account on etsy. Monty’s before, I kept telling my husband weird things are happening on my laptop. I try to create a website on any platform, wix or Wordpress, half hour later, everything is erased, stuff like that. Will try this to see if I get rid of this scammer….
Thank you so much, you are a superhero, even as a tech-savvy person with years of technology classes under my belt. We still make mistakes I was looking for good systems to use online for the game I'm developing when I stumbled across a channel that had just what I needed, it seemed too good to be true and I even did a little verification check before clicking any links. The UA-camr was valid with thousands upon thousands of views and subscribers. The comments also looked good and nobody reported any issues. So I went for it, sure enough, the second I clicked it I started getting Microsoft popups and Anti Virus notifications. My computer is also currently running and snail speed as I'm using your strategies to attempt to remove the malware. Ill keep you guys updated on the results and I sure hope this works, thank you so much!
@@AskYourComputerGuy I think it definitely cleaned some things up. But in still getting Microsoft alerts. It says “Your Trojan hard drive was infected.” So im not sure, im gonna keep trying things. Thanks for your help.
i just wake up after lefting my Pc running Tron Script, and all i have to say is THANK YOU !!!! My Pc is Back to normal speed !! Much Much Much Better ! Thanks Boss
I wish I could hug you right now man! I have so many memories on my pc and I accidentally downloaded a wrong file which caused it to not even be usable any more. When I went through the steps of your video and it started working like it used to, I cried tears of happiness. You deserve to be paid for what you do for people and you just gained a subscriber!
Absolutely Amazing! Cleaned a nasty malware that would not go away. I was ready to reimage this machine. Wish I knew this when I was cleaning computers for some schools.
@JohnnyKongest unfortunately, ransomware is usually either a) pay the ransom (not recommended) or b) wipe your drive and start over: How to WIPE and reinstall Windows CLEAN | remove all VIRUSES! ua-cam.com/video/jN6zir-M_WY/v-deo.html
@@AskYourComputerGuy this is an old windows 8 so the ransomware must be at least 10 yrs old, so i resently started it up and forgot about the ransom, but certenly after a few sec it reminded me, so if i have to wipe everything, can i use win 10 on that?
Well done good Sir! Concise and pretty easy to follow, and though I don't have any PC issues atm I'm putting this in my tool box, wonderful, thank you very much CG!
"Better"? Good question. Can't say for sure. Personally I run it in normal mode unless it gets stuck, then safe mode. But it will run in both no problem

excellent question! The real reason is that I have found that the combination of free avast antivirus, paid Malwarebytes pro work beautifully together. I have use the pro features of avast antivirus, and wow good, I don’t necessarily think they justify the cost. I tell my clients all the time when I install the free avast antivirus that that’s generally all they need, and it’s what I use on my home PC in, although I am a little more malware conscious than most, I have found it to work perfectly for me
@@AskYourComputerGuy Wow, thanks for the quick answer. I run Bitdefender paid version, due to rave reviews. How does Bitdefender paid compare to your combo setup?
Bitdefender isn't bad. I would say try Avast free and MalwareBytes pro and see how it works for you. MB gives you a 14 day full trial. If you don't care for it, reinstall Bitdefender and you've lost nothing but a little time. Links are in the description :)
This is such a great tutorial! I'm sure it'll be easy to digest for all but the most non tech savvy people and that's fantastic. I've dealt with viruses since the early days of minecraft modding (where I learned) and for years, but I still was curious to see Tron in action and it's impressive as always. Thank you for making this I'm sure it's gonna help a lot of people
I have gone to computer geek stores... and when I find out I know more than the guy behind the counter I turn right around and walk out. Then I wait. Somehow, someway, some day Someone with the knowledge & expertse my situation calls for will come along. O my goodness! Now's the time! You're here ..... Yay! Now to save this video and go dig up my old pcs Thanks! : D
Yeah, it was LONG overdue. But I wanted to make sure I spent the time and energy it deserved, to make a quality evergreen video, ya know? Thx for the inspiration and turning me onto Tron a while back. And hope you and the fam are doing great too! :)
@@AskYourComputerGuy I like how you covered different scenarios that users may be experiencing pre and post infection and your perfect explanation of Rkill.

Absolutely fantastic video thanks for putting this up. I`m super careful of what I put onto my PC or laptop, and run scans all the time, but Im now going to be fully prepared and set up this emergency folder, and I`m just about to watch the other video you mentioned. I found your channel by accident, I`m now fully subscribed.

Thank you! I've suffered through a very slow PC for over a year now, but your video fixed it in a matter of a few hours. Your instructions were great and never assumed that your audience knows about computers. Good job!
Replying as yours is newest comment I could find. I tried downloading tron script using brave browser then used google chrome - both saying virus (have already read in comments this is normal) unfortunately they delete before I get to open and run, tried RKill got same so booted up my very slow laptop, managed to get RKill with firefox & ran that it said it found nothing after checks, tried to DL Tron Script again and got to the area where it says something found I chose Run Anyway Now a pop up saying "operation did not complete successfully because the file contains a virus or potentially unwanted software" Unfortunately my tech skills are limited so this currently is as far as I got :( Thanks for the video I will have a go at finding ways to get this download and running if possible
I run Tron and it finished in about 40 seconds (and I have about 7 Tb.) included, but I also have 64 M. choice rams. Excellent video Thanks for making and sharing 🙂
This is a great tutorial. May I contribute... Most people have cloud storage of some description these days, so I recommend creating your "emergency folder" in Dropbox/Drive/OneDrive/pCloud etc., and then it will be available on any linked device. (You may need to set the folder as "store local copy" with some providers.) Even if you lose the internet, you will still have "local" access to the folder, so all good.
True. Unless you have more than 5GB of data. A solution like Carbonite makes much more sense then, especially since no human ever sees that data. Can't say the same for Microsoft 🤷♂️
You're a life-saver! My gaming computer, where I also happen to store family photos and important tax documents, was recently infected with malware (or something like that). Not sure for how long, but I discovered by chance that I couldn't access any antivirus websites. That triggered a red flag and started searching for answers to bypass this block. Long story short, my computer is back to normal and no longer displaying any symptoms (accessing antivirus websites). Like and subscribed!
You should do a video about Installing and running a virtual machine. Use it for your daily internet tasks. Create a clone and keep that updated. If you have a problem, create a clone of the clone and delete infected or problem image. Also you should do a video about running in a limited account. Make sure also to make your brower/s ask where to download files, so as to prevent automatic download.
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. The instructions are easy to understand and apply. That makes a big difference to a non-tech savy 78 year old like me Thank you. Tron takes five hours to download.
Nice tips. Very useful and personally, I love that you went to rkill and brought up stopping the services and processes. A lot of times a process actively running just stops my AV in it's tracks. Excellent method. Thank you for sharing this.
2-12Hrs LOL ain't got time for that. - For nearly 20 years I've kept nothing except the windows install on C: Once I have windows set up exactly as I want, I create and store a full disk IMG incl partitions and all (with something such as Acronis or similar) that I can recover from by booting from a USB - Full recovery takes no more than 3-4 minutes and everything is back up and running as new. I back up important things daily/weekly, this method has served me very well over the years and saved me a butt load of time. Good tutorial though, and will surely help people, especially the less tech savvy and Joe average that has EVERYTHING on the system drive. 😉Liked & Subbed
Seems pretty useful.. may be worth also reviewing the scheduled tasks on the pc after that as well. Ultimately, it's still not as safe as just wiping the box and reinstalling (or restoreing from known good backup), this is like plugging a hole on a bald tire lol.. it might get you back up and running but you probably want to get it fixed the correct way
There is another free program called AdwCleaner that will clean these leftowers that are not necessarily malicious but unwanted bloat. Like toolbars, pc "optimizers" etc. that got installed alongside with something else.
I have a windows 10 laptop. Followed your instructions but it shows me a different web page when clicking on the download link I am using Chrome Please advise Thank you
TronScript reddit went private...check the description for the updated direct link. Sorry, they were public 9 months ago, we made them mad somehow 🤷♂️
Honestly the best way to keep your PC in top shape is to do clean installs of Windows about once a year, or every two years. But what about your data? Well just keep all your important files on a separate drive so when you wipe your boot drive you don't lose anything. Move everything out of My Documents to another drive, I have second physical drive (ssd) installed in my PC, but you can use a NAS, an extremal USB drive, or USB flash drive, or you can use cloud storage. Heck you can even plug in your smart phone and use some of it's storage temporarily. Sure apps will have to be reinstalled but that's not really difficult. There are apps/scripts that can install all of them for you. I usually download the installers for the apps I use on my second drive before I wipe my boot drive, along with new drivers I'll need for my hardware. Games can be downloaded (or moved) to your second drive, so when you reinstall Steam, just point it to to that folder on your second drive, and you won't have to redownload any of your games.
you are not wrong. I just try to keep in mind that the vast majority of average users don’t even want to deal with it until it’s too late. Lots of people work long hours and don’t want to dedicate any spare free time to keeping things running, optimally, or using best practices...that’s part of what I do on this channel. Great comment tho!
@@AskYourComputerGuy Oh i understand that. Been using computers for 40 years, and it took me ages to develop some sort of system to keep a PC functioning, other than hardware failures. The real problem these days is most people use phones which aren't serviceable in the same way as computer is. People just spend $500-$1000 and abuse it and just replace it after a year, because it's fashionable to get the new shiny thing, even though it's no different than their last shiny new thing. The technology market is dependent on people just getting a new unit rather than fixing it. That's the mindset of most people, they can't be bothered with maintenance. Common sense flies out the door since they assume the device will do it for them.
For anyone in 2024 who's doubting if this actually works, it does! The only different thing that happened when I did it is windows said it doesn't suppourt the app (which duh) but other than that this process gave a clean sweep for my pc.

You are the audience I make these videos for, so thank you for your kind words. I tend to ignore trolls who just want to appear smarter than me. I've done this 31 years and it's my full time business here at home. However, when someone is right, even when they are jerks about it, I show the respect to their skillset and point that out. And I also point how and when they're wrong, and why. But I agree, too many keyboard commandos. Makes me wonder, if they are SO smart, why are they watching "basic PC repair" video channels? My guess is just to troll. Either way, rock on and thanks for the compliment!

@@AskYourComputerGuy Excuse-me, my files are encrypted by mlza virus and i can't decrypt my files because of this: "id appears to be an online id, decryption is impossible" How can i fix this problem ?
I literally followed every step of instructions on this video to have a safer computer. I once had a "friend" install memz trojan on on of my computers when I wasn't home. So now with all this protection, I sure hope there's no possible w=chance at all that someone would download any virus/malware
Just understand, running TronScript doesn't make you "safer". It only removes malware and other junk that has accumulated already. A quality anti-virus and/or malware program, along with using best practices online, is the only real way to stay "safe". Hope this helps!
Thank you for this "computer guy". It definitely eased my panic...computer is old and tron took over 13 hours to complete. Computer seems to now be running better than it has in a while. Thanks again.
If this was the 1990's I would agree excellent video! But todays infection can now hide itself and if you got hit with APT infection then even if you format the drive the infection will return because the infection hides itself outside of the partition. If this is the pc where you do your banking on then just buy a new hard drive.
Yeah that would be a pretty vicious attack for sure. Tron will clean Ransomware, so that's the bar that I've set for "any virus". Obviously the NSA could put some junk on you that even the best software coders couldn't get around. This is for the other 99.9999995% of "normal" everyday users. Thx for the comment
Buying a new hard drive after a infection? Never heard of a Zero Fill Format ? That will overwrite the entire surface of the drive, and return the drive almost to factory settings. After a Zero Fill Format, even after a quick Zero Fill Format, Windows ask to initialize the drive again as MBR or GTP disk, like if the drive came new out of the package. A Zero Fill Format wipes everything from a HDD, SSD, USB Thumbdrive, Memory cards etc..... Look for the Western Digital Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows, the Zero Fill Format option is located in that program.
@@AskYourComputerGuy , a quick zero fill doesn't takes ages, only 1a2 minutes, even on very large drives. I use it all the time when working with CF cards in firewall etc....before reinstalling the OS.
hey, thank you for all the amazing info. I was able to stop malware that kept reinstalling after restart using the Autoruns and unchecking them in autoruns . Defender would "remove" it but kept coming back until I unchecked it in Autoruns, two items getting flagged by virustotal 6 and 16/76. Once I got this to stop I ran the TRON script with prep stage and disinfect stage. All ran fine and finished. After a restart and another Autoruns run I still see the entries there, unchecked of course. When I use the jump to image feature in autoruns it tells me these files are in programdata adobe and sharp folders with couple exe files in there. Can I just delete these folders? I don't have a program called sharp or any Adobe software. delete these folders? or just the exe files? What do you suggest? please would really appreciate your help thank you.
You are my hero! I’m not super tech savvy (not with windows anyway) and i recently noticed some weird stuff on my computer but couldn’t get rid of it on my own. I stumbled across your video and it saved my life
"Bugs" is a general term my target audience understands. I could say Spyware, aware, malware, virus, Ransom ware, PUP, all the names...but people generally don't know what exactly is wrong, just that they have some type of "bug" on their computer :)
Agreed. If I had ended up with Ransomware, it would have been interesting to see what direction I would have gone. I'm sure there is probably some super nasty bugs that TronScript maybe can't tackle, but 99.9998% of the people I see just have minor malware or virus infections, but they are everywhere on the PC, so TronScript would absolutely take care of that for them. Thx for the comment
I want to say thank you, yesterday i download the programs you say, cause I did have a malware and the sad thing is I bought an antivirus to fix my problem but nah the antivirus doesn’t do anything, so after watching your video and downloading tron I get rid of the malware in my case it take 1 hour to finish yay.
Great information, thanks! Just to clarify, Tron Script would also be good to run even if there are no obvious issues with your PC, right? It will just clean up but won't delete any legit files and programs?
It would be better to run from a command line for debloat purposes. But I have also run it on many machines that are working fine again with no issues. Others have said it can cause problems, but I tend to believe that those machines were already beyond repair when it was run. I'd read the FAQ and learn about command line options 👍
I watched your Hiren boot usb video, and man... you are the best IT guy i have ever tried to learn from. The pace is great and you don't leave anything unexplained. Beavo!!!!!3💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I appreciate that! Sometimes I do and my viewers always let me know LOL - but I do try to anticipate any questions that might arise during the process 👍
I got my computer when I was 12, I'm 16 now and this is still my first computer, I was very clueless when I was 12 and I most likely tried installing free Roblox script executers and that sort of stuff, typical 12 year old behavior lol. For the most part these past 4 years I have just been using the anti-virus that is in the windows virus and threat protection setting and I never realized how bad it was, I cant believe that your video just came up in my recommended today and after doing everything you showed in the video I honestly can't believe how slow my computer was running for so long, you are amazing and I didn't skip any ads on your video to do my best to get you that little extra ad revenue. God bless you and again, thank you so much for making this video, I can't even begin to express how grateful I am. Stay safe and have a great day man❤
Thank you so much! You have saved me a lot of trouble, and you are the only one who is actually come up with a very helpful solution. Your videos are very clear and so easily understood. Thank you
I just came from your other video about 5 settings you need to set asap and I find it really amusing to see you have your file extensions set to invisible here :)
LOL I appreciate that! I never thought in a million years when I started this gig that people would put every tiny thing under a microscope lol...so now I'm extra EXTRA careful 😂
As a computer Engineer myself, I have learned something new. This goes to show that just because you have passed all of the classes and got that piece of paper in your hot little hand saying that you know what you know, at the end of the day you are still a student in your field no matter how long you have done things. Computers are always evolving and sadly so are malicious software writers...
Nice video with good instructions. With myself, I wouldn’t be able to consciously not be anxious or paranoid of any malware left behind, id just do a reinstall or restore from a good known backup. Remember everyone to always reset your passwords, and make sure it isn’t an easy password (make it complex).
For those people who think it’s a scam: it’s not. And no, I don’t say that he is a super kind person. He just took a sponsorship from that program, but it’s still a REALLY good program.
WIN7: This was a great video, and the process helped clean-up my computer. Thank You! However, it did not fix my CPU utilization, which was running ~15% higher than normal at complete idle. I meticulously stopped running services until I found the culprit. It was the WIN7 "Windows Update" service, which I must have enabled recently for some reason. Now idles at ~3-4%, with my favorite apps (Outlook, Synthesizer, & DAW) running, waiting for me to play. What a relief! Runs much cooler, quieter, etc. Again, great video, and your code is impeccable!!
Thank you, glad it worked out for you. Please understand Tronscript is not my creation, I didn't write any code - I just know of it to be an amazing tool and wanted to share it. All the accolades should go to the original creator of the script :)
@@AskYourComputerGuy Well, thanks for putting it all together! I can't believe how much CPU "Windows Update" was using. Just idling, the processor and the fans and the external fans on one of my Lenovo Thinkpad W520s were screaming. It was hot. Such a relief, and you gave me the notion to just go through each service and get 'er done. Since Win7 is no longer supported, I don't know what this service was actually doing. The fix was rewarding! Yay!! :)
Found some malware through my antivirus and got rid of it but wanted to be safe. I feel a little better now after doing this but I’m still worried about my passwords as I had them saved on Firefox. Time to change them all I guess! Thank you for your clear instructions, you are much appreciated.
I'd recommend TronScript first, just because it's so powerful. If that doesn't remove the infection or get Windows working properly again, a Windows refresh or full reinstall is usually the next smart choice. Unless you want to spend weeks trying to tweak it back to health
My buddy sent me a bad link and gave me a virus that infected all the devices on my router. That was a long 9 hours lol. Anyway thank you so much for this video, saved me a lot of stress
Great Video content! I just accidentally clicked your video Lol! But with this method, i have removed the "Stopabit" trojan virus on my computer. Thank you so much brother!
I think most of you already know this but make sure to update you windows if updates are available. And yeah Microsoft usually gives update for their Windows Defender Anti Virus - its called Security Intelligence Update. And also if you want to run malware scan on you windows you can press Win+R it will show the RUN and you wanna type MRT and it will bring up Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.
Been working IT for a long time and I have to say this is a very easy way of recovering the machine so people can still access their files. On a side note, I see you recommend malware bytes. How do you find windows defender compared to malware bytes ?
Totally different program purposes. MB specifically targets malware and is quite good. Windows Defender is designed mostly for viruses. It's not horrible, better than nothing, but not my first choice

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it!
He makes money from UA-cam videos. Probably more than waiting for someone to bring in a computer 🖥️
Just a thought my nephew is Andy from Popcorn Planet.
They just don't feel up to the task of figuring out how to use these tools.
very good point

I just saw this video and I realized the script basically does the whole 'windows tango' that I been taught to do. The two major benefit is that now It's only a few clicks that need to be done, and I don't have to spend the entire day clicking each program. I'm sold on this and thanks for the info. It'll help the next time I end up being the 'family tech support'
Awesome!
I might need more help on this I don't want to accidently make it worse for me I don't receive any Wi-Fi even though I still have the Wi-Fi signal could it be hacked?
@animegirl16091 possibly, but likely just an infection. TronScript should resolve it 👍
Excellent video.
That is the last piece of info I needed!!! Thanks a million!!!!!!!!
The Tron script doesn't need Internet to run?
@@jcarlos4458 Special Considerations
The ideal Tron environment is a system that's functional enough to run while "normally" booted (i.e., not in Safe Mode), be able to open an elevated Command Prompt window, and has an active and functional internet connection.

What is an IT computer person? (I am just an IT person myself )

You can also test run programs before installing on main PC, with the virtual machine.
Excellent ideas, thank you!

Thx for watching! Glad it helped

Ha exactly. maybe even wear a little red hat if you're really wanting to learn.
Thank you for this "computer guy". It definitely eased my panic...computer is old and tron took over 13 hours to complete. Computer seems to now be running better than it has in a while. Thanks again.
Glad to hear it! It takes a while, but definitely worth the wait! 👍
If this was the 1990's I would agree excellent video! But todays infection can now hide itself and if you got hit with
APT infection then even if you format the drive the infection will return because the infection hides itself outside of the partition.
And also takeswhat seems like 100 years to complete hahaha - but definitely worth the time, no doubt!
@@AskYourComputerGuy , a quick zero fill doesn't takes ages, only 1a2 minutes, even on very large drives.
I use it all the time when working with CF cards in firewall etc....before reinstalling the OS.
Maybe I'm just impatient LOL
I cleaned my windows pc by installing Linux on it! 🤣
LOL good one 😂
hey, thank you for all the amazing info.
Yes, delete the folders if you can. Exe's if you can't. Either way....BOOM 💥💥💥
@@AskYourComputerGuy ok thanks, how about in autoruns just keep them unchecked or right click and delete?
Anything you don't want running every time the machine boots, uncheck
If you know you'll never use it, delete
@@AskYourComputerGuy thank you.
You are my hero! I’m not super tech savvy (not with windows anyway) and i recently noticed some weird stuff on my computer but couldn’t get rid of it on my own. I stumbled across your video and it saved my life
So glad to hear that!!!
Bugs and viruses are totally different things
"Bugs" is a general term my target audience understands. I could say Spyware, aware, malware, virus, Ransom ware, PUP, all the names...but people generally don't know what exactly is wrong, just that they have some type of "bug" on their computer :)
If this wasn't posted 6 months ago , I would have said this was a April fools Video
Not sure how to take that exactly 😂
That's what was going through my mind as I watched this video too, I even checked the publishing date of the video to make sure :) .
Same
Good job none of the malware was the encryption type as none of this advice would save you.
I got a PC after not having one since 2008. I used to be quite savy with them but have since lost my touch. Thanks for the advice.
Awesome!
Sometimes I do and my viewers always let me know LOL - but I do try to anticipate any questions that might arise during the process 👍
bro deserves all the love, i watched all ads with passion
THANK YOU! I have never been so freaked out to see a cursor move by itself. ❤
Glad it helped! 💪
I am telling you man, this video right here is going to get me promoted from Graphic Designer to tech support by next year.
#love - make sure to share 😂❤️👍
Stay safe and have a great day man❤
I'm so appreciative of that! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it helped you out! Welcome to tithe community ❤️
Thank you so much! I'll be sure to tune into new videos that you post so I learn more about computers😄
Thanks, Scott! Another amazing video
I am going to do this. No, I'm not infected but in case day that day does happen.
Take care!
Awesome! 👍
Its great because not only does it remove the bugs, it debloats and improves performance more than it was before.
100% yes!
Very helpful video! My computer had a virus and nothing was working to remove it! I was desperate! Thank you sooo much for your help!
You're welcome!
I can't find the "any" key on my keyboard...watch your videos all the time. It is great that you share your knowledge with us. Thank you so much!
You bet 👍
Thank you so much! You have saved me a lot of trouble, and you are the only one who is actually come up with a very helpful solution. Your videos are very clear and so easily understood. Thank you
Thank you! Glad it helped you out! I appreciate the support 👍
I just came from your other video about 5 settings you need to set asap and I find it really amusing to see you have your file extensions set to invisible here :)
Only for demonstration purposes. That's one of the VERY first things I ever tweak. Was trying to simulate a "typical" Windows user 👍
@@AskYourComputerGuySo do I. Was just teasing anyway. Great tips, thank you (I mean other videos as well)!
100%
Nice video with good instructions.
With myself, I wouldn’t be able to consciously not be anxious or paranoid of any malware left behind, id just do a reinstall or restore from a good known backup.
Remember everyone to always reset your passwords, and make sure it isn’t an easy password (make it complex).
Thank you :)
you haven't met a cobalt strike, that is paranoia at peak!!! trust me
@realcucus 🤷♂️
I can’t believe this actually worked!! Thank you so much!!!
It's why I made the video...TronScript is awesome. Glad to hear you had positive results ❤️👍
I have a virus from discord, and thanks to you it’s being taken care of. Hope it manages to uninstall the viruses! I will update you in the morning!
Good deal!
1 in a million tutorial, like it's pretty hard to find people like these that actually care, thankyou random grandpa in the internet☺️
Not a grandpa yet 😂
For those people who think it’s a scam: it’s not. And no, I don’t say that he is a super kind person. He just took a sponsorship from that program, but it’s still a REALLY good program.
Sponsorship? From who? A free software program? LOL no I didn't i made a video about a great FREE program 🤦♂️
Yay!! :)
Awesome!
Found some malware through my antivirus and got rid of it but wanted to be safe. I feel a little better now after doing this but I’m still worried about my passwords as I had them saved on Firefox. Time to change them all I guess! Thank you for your clear instructions, you are much appreciated.
Glad I could help
Great video. What would you use to clean a system that’s not bootable or that boots but is unusable in Windows due to the infection?
I'd recommend TronScript first, just because it's so powerful. If that doesn't remove the infection or get Windows working properly again, a Windows refresh or full reinstall is usually the next smart choice. Unless you want to spend weeks trying to tweak it back to health
Thanks, I'll be heading to the store to buy my flash drives.
👍
You have saved the humanity with this video.
Thank you 👍
My buddy sent me a bad link and gave me a virus that infected all the devices on my router. That was a long 9 hours lol. Anyway thank you so much for this video, saved me a lot of stress
Thank you so much for this video. Very simple to walk through. One question for us dummies, how do you know if the process is complete?
Thank you. You'll know because the program will tell you it's completed 👍
Disregard...saw the comment on an earlier post. Thank you!
Easy to do. Worked fantastic. Thank you so much
Awesome!
Those two programs, Tron Script and R-Kill, look so good they're scary. Putting them on my list of programs to download, in addition to the others.
They are scary...but they work 👍
Thank you! Great easy to understand presentation... No frills... Anyone with basic pc knowledge can do this!
Absolutely they can! And thank you for the support ❤️💪
Thank you so much ! i had some malware in the back round slowing my PC down , and now it runs like it used too !
Awesome!
amazing took me at least 30-45 minutes and i already feel my pc running 10x better
Nice!!!🎉
Thank you. I enjoyed the video and learn something important to help protect the PC environment
👍
Greetings from the UK! Yes, your methods work here too! Thanks for the great advice.😀
You're welcome! 💪
Great Video content! I just accidentally clicked your video Lol! But with this method, i have removed the "Stopabit" trojan virus on my computer. Thank you so much brother!
Boom! 🔥
Sir you have earned yoself another subscriber❤❤❤
