Regardless of how I had admired the Kennedy's growing up, after actually growing up, and seeing more of the world and of society. I can't help but feel skeptical when someone who was born with a silver spoon in their mouth talks as if they care or know how the working class people suffer or how they live. Hoffa regardless if he was corrupt or not, knows how it truly was for the working class. He lived and worked around them, hell he was one of them. Also if Bobby cared so much about jailing corrupted individuals, why didn't he start with his dear old dad?

I won't try to refute along the lines of inherited privilege or power. In my culture you are supposed to go from lawyer, to judge, to governor down through generations
Being said, nepotism goes in both territories. The working class are allowed to elect for themselves representatives and appoint leaders. But often times people keep their head down because there's pressure in responsibility. Also there's strength in numbers, so who's willing to stick their neck out to sacrifice a life of steady toil?
We like to conveniently forget that life is a risk. From CO to the sanitation team, you have to fight for your rank. You can't just say, I missed a couple days but my mates, they know I'm good for it. You have to show that your a cog in the machine or people will think you've got something else going on
I've worked in finance, retail, production, service, skilled labor, technical jobs, and policy- it's true regardless of the trade. It's a fight and there's politicking EVERYWHERE
The part I can't come to terms with regarding the OP is how supposedly being born to white collar or performing in a bureaucratic way is without it's strain. The same sun don't shine on the skin regardless of whether you're in the trenches or if you're behind a desk
Do you mean to say that being white collar, it's not the same cutthroat environment or that people on the outside won't catch you slipping? Again mud is still mud whether it kicks up on a F150 or a Mercedes
