- Back out on another bike camping trip with Ian, and back on the Lancaster canal as Ian needs to tick this one off. So it was north from Preston up to Stainton where the canal ends, then back down the coast via Arnside, Carnforth, Lancaster , knott End and Blackpool under full sun and blue skies.
Thanks also to Ian for the extra footage of this trip.

Lovely video of the trip mate, was great touring with you, was a good 3 days on the bike and camping⛺️🚲🙂👍🏻
Thanks Ian it was another enjoyable trip , tough going at times in that heat but some cracking pitches we found . Atb Dave 🚲⛺️👍
Really enjoyed that well done guys 70 mile on a hot day you must be very fit lads.
Thanks , yeah it was a tough day and we are just keen 😂
Excellent videos mate! I'm planning a canal trip myself, from Ashton-under-Lyne to Kendal, and these are super informative. Also, that's a gorgeous Cannondale!
Have fun, it’s a beautiful canal the further north you get . Not all tsps are on the tow path side so keep an eye out . TFW atb Dave 🚲⛺️👍
Seein u pull up in Blackpool on bike took me back to the Manchester to Blackpool ride. Ive not done it for a good few years. Need to get back out myself...good video
Sounds like a plan , thanks for watching atb Dave
Blackpool - not somewhere I'd be going unless forced. I prefer Morcambe but you've got to pick yer times. I've not been to St. Anne's yet. Crosby dunes are good. I've done Silverdale now, but I've not done the miles you lads have been doing for decades. Southport is a favourite place of mine for a bit of coastal thing.
We didn’t linger long in Blackpool tho 😂 lytham was nice and quiet on the dunes after the dog walkers left 😂 Southport needs a look me thinks atb Dave
@@davesolobiker5601 it has it's charms as a Victorian seaside resort- some nice fish n chip places there. They have facilities but you're better using the pub's - swamp like conditions in many - a few nice bars. Some lovely spots to sit and watch the world go by.
another canny bikepack dave.your obviously enjoying them👍🚴thought ian was in the canal at one point mind😮&i always want fish n chips after watching 😂
Cheers Geordie , really enjoying the bike trips at the mo . Yeah ian looked close at going for a dip lol . The heat was intense so we were just burning calories instantly 😂😂 plenty of refuel stops 🍺👍
I like you using the canal paths...neat-oh.
So do I , but non near me 😂 , however we have a canal trip planned for next month 👍
Met 2 english/welsh lads in Sligo in October. They cycled across Ireland with surf boards attached to their bikes. Unreal..
Now that’s taking it another level 🏄♂️🌊😂👍
Dude u should be employed for the British tourist board..that scenery is aaaammaaazing❤❤❤ps where is everyone...??
Thanks , we try to keep away from main roads if possible so mainly off road and quiet c roads 🚲👍
Ian the original whiskey review guy. And how much was the drone. I have thought about getting one. I might be able to do another tour soon. I am just having the usual problems at work.
He sure is 😂 drone was around £830 James quite pricey but 0% interest on Amazon so around £69 a month 👍 hope you get out on tour again and yes work is always in the way ..
