I love that your kids are open to new things. I don't see them act sassy and complain. The kids are so appreciative and expressive in a nice way. You've raised good kids 😉
Thanks for sharing all the great videos. Way back on your 2nd Day of School (in Costa Rica) video I remember noticing Jake's fancy socks were worn through and I thought it would be fun to send a bunch of new funky socks I have but there was no way to do it. I was happy to see Grandma and Grandpa brought that gift when they visited a while later. :) Now I see this gift thing on UA-cam so I'll use this so you can have something from me in direct appreciation.
I wanna go to the Philippines!! Your family is so cool and fun to watch! U are all so gorgeous, beautiful inside and out. Children are well-raised and most importantly, God-fearing.
I appreciate that you are loving the Barong shirts and ethnic style Filipino products. Not all Filipinos use Barong for ordinary occasions, only on special or formal affair like Weddings we usually use Barong. That’s cool. At MALL OF Asia there’s an ice skating ring, if you would like to learn skating on ice you can try it there, even kids like Gracie. Nearby is the Star City, a small theme park.
@@paulvicentevcurimao5596 as they've said, not really used for ordinary occasions. Formal events and work attires aren't ordinary occassions. You won't see anyone wearing a barong casually outside of work
You guys are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I’m an Australian Veteran who, as a QANTAS Pilot flew to Manila many times. I vividly remember taking my wife to the Mega Mall many years ago. Your video reminded me of those wonderful times. Keep the wonderful video content coming guys. All the very best from Jim in Sydney.
Your vlogs in the Philippines is always fun to watch with your honest reactions on your experiences with our culture, people, places, and foods. Most of all your setting of an example of what a family should be, fun and caring. Good luck to you guys on your next adventures! Keep vlogging and God bless your family.
I think you should have been directed to the main store of Kultura which is on the ground floor of Megamall, right across Wendy's and Hawker Chan, that store solely sells native stuff, you could have bought your native spoon over there. But if you want cheaper souvenirs, you have to goto the area of Quiapo (pronounced as Kee-a-po) in the city of Manila, underneath the bridge, lots of vendors selling local wares, Kultura sells refined ones. If your kids find the Barong itchy, ask them to wear a plain white shirt underneath, no local wears it without an undershirt.
I love that you are enjoying the cultural items. The 'itchy' see thru shirts are our formal wear called 'barong Tagalog', like suits. They are typically worn over a plain colored collarless shirt or tank top and paired with dark pants. They're used for formal occasions or business settings. I hope you found the large wooden fork and spoon to hang on the wall.
Greetings from Toronto Canada ! Welcome to Manila ! I was there just a month ago but I was not able to visit MEGA MALL this time. Oh I am glad that you guys found KULTURA, they the BARONG TAGALOG is the traditional Filipino shirts, its see thru and its made from pineapple fibre. It look like your kids enjoying the place so much ! Oh wow you guys have burgers and now at the Chinese resto! I had that at MOA the last time, I am pretty sure that is the one that is MICHELLIN STAR RATED. Oh wow ! those are fancy ice cream after. And at the end its PLAY TIME !

No worries about foods in the Philippines. Because there have many many international restaurant in the Philippines from American, European, Persian, Asian etc. aside from delicious local foods..enjoy Philippines!
I just love Ben's energy. And Joejoe is just the cutest. That White Barong (Cultural Dress) is so good on Sam and it looks fancy. Benny That Barong is really too showing because that cultural dress is really made for summer wear. It's made of Pineapple fabric. It's a combination of Pre colonial Filipino and Spanish Clothing Styles. It looks good on you though.
Living abroad for decade and watching you guys visiting different island makes me wanna go back home . I hope one day I will be able to enjoy my own country ❤ MABUHAY !
Barong Tagalog is a men's national dress in the Philippines. When you wear a barong, you need to pair it with a plain white undershirt to make you look much better, feel better, and also avoid the itchy feelings. 😊
Hello Backman family. New subscriber here. I hope you also visit Baguio City, Philippines. Right now they are celebrating Panagbenga Festival which is a flower festival. Enjoy your vacation in the Philippines 🇵🇭 ❤️❤️
If you visit again, check out kultura in mall of Asia! It’s waaaaay bigger and they sell stuff like local chocolate there! I’m not sure if it’s still there so I’m just recalling my experience from the last time I went there

One thing I notice with your kids is they are so involve being together with their family. They have no devices in their hands I can see how active they are. So great seeing kids like them I am so impressed. Great family👍👏

Hey , I just subscribed to your channel recently and I’m already invested in your family. I like that your family is close to each other and willing to try new things and have an open mind to everything. Your kids are fun and adorable . Keep it up . Will continue watching your future videos .
The best thing about the Megamall is the AC. You get to escape the Manila heat for a while. That's why malls are so popular especially in the hot season.
I wish,.I had this kind of family 🥺 It's great to see a family having fun together 😭😂 very wholesome!🤌 blessed your family and the families watching your videos 🙏
If you still have time, I would also suggest taking the kids to Puerto Galera. They would love the white sand beach. It’s only less than 2 hours from Manila and I could recommend an inexpensive place to stay.
All the kids are present here.... hahahaha I am happy to see them... all open to a different culture and cuisine.... really ... citizens of the world... one young man wears a tropical shirt too!! Beautiful mentality in each one... even the baby girl... Wow!!!

The barong tagalog is the Filipino national formal attire for men. Looks very good on the Backman men too! However, one has to wear an undershirt beneath it called cameza de chino. I prefer a black undershirt cos it makes the design of the barong stand out. I prefer to dip my dumplings. The sauces are usually on the table, one has to mix their own to customize to their taste.
