Is this a 3 liter Mazda? The engine bay layout looks similar to my Mazda 6 2006 V6. Also you mention the front and back part of the Valve Cover Gasket. Are there 2 separate parts to this car?

Hey, I've done the front and back valve cover gaskets, and some other work to my 2004 mazda 6 3.0L. And It still runs great, but I still have a small oil leak near the front. I saw another video stating that there is a hidden gasket (part# AJ5710193) near the right water pulley. Just wondering, if you've replaced that as well.
I have not replaced that gasket as of yet, but will certainly make a video when I do so.
It helps to drop the engine a bit at the passenger side mount to give you room to get the cover over the OCV
Thanks, I actually ended up doing that as I could not get the valve cover off without doing so.
I didn't even have to do that. Just twisted it out of there. Worked perfect and went back in just fine! Thanks for the video man!
I need this done on my 2014 Mazda 6 and my Mazda dealer tried to tell me over $1,100 in labor to replace the timing valve cover and ovc valve. Lol highly doubt it should take them that much labor to do
Excellent! Thanks!
Wilfredo Rodríguez you are very welcome!

Thanks
Thanks for the video! Do you know where I can get the gaskets for the OCV (oil control valve)? I have the exact same car.
I am not sure. I believe I got my parts from Rock Auto.
I have an 05 Mazda 6 , I’m having smoke coming from oil dip stick , I’m thinking coolant got into the pilot .. what could possibly be the fix for this issue ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Smoke in the dipstick sounds possibly like blow by. Not sure on that. If you have coolant in the crankcase, your oil would look milky and I would stop driving it until you can repair it.
Replace your spark plugs at the same time
Where do you put the jack
where should you put the jack to support the engine? I can only think of putting it on the oil pan or part of the muffler which I don't want to do, I can't actually reach the engine with the jack.
nvm man, watched a video on this car's motor mounts and its recommended to put it on the oil pan... moving the jack it definitely supports the corner you pinted to.
Replace your spark plugs
Glad we still have people who work on their own cars.
I do as much as I can on my own. I enjoy working on my cars, not so much the laying on my back on the ground, so I am hoping to get a lift soon. I've also found having the right tools makes the job that much more enjoyable.
@@ACHAutomotive I agree the right tool can make a huge difference. Also my least favorite part is crawling under the car.
Do you have a part number or name of the Oil Control Valve Gaskets? Can't seem to find a part number on rockauto.com Thanks!
NAPA actually has them .10930 is the part number
@@JohnBoulding SKF 111222 is the part number
The intake manifold on this model sucks
