- I hope you enjoyed this video experimenting with the Friedman IR-X and the Line 6 POD Express to build a killer ampless guitar rig!
I just started a Patreon that has in-depth lessons w/ tab covering soloing tricks, licks, techniques, shred, theory and much more!

I hope you enjoyed the video! What do you think about this guitar rig?
They sound amazing here + pairing them together adds the IR features that the Pod Express alone is missing
great to see two classic UFO albums in the backdrop , Schenker is a beast!
I just arrived! I have both units and been wondering if this was possible! Great job.
Thanks! That’s awesome! There are tons of great ways to combine these pedals 🤘
So if I use a drive pedal together with the pod express, will it change the sound of the pedal? Thank you very much (Brazil). My Amp doesn't have send return.
Yes, it will in a very subtle way. But keep in mind every pedal that’s not true bypass will do this in some way as well. Most likely depending on circumstance you will either slightly notice it or possibly not notice it at all.
@@JordanSteele thank you very much! You are an extraordinary musician!
Sounds awesome 👌
Thank you🤘
Great playing
I highly recommend trying out the Line 6 HX Effects in conjunction with the Friedman IR-X. A bit more bulky than Pod Express and a larger power supply is needed, but the options are virtually unlimited!
Absolutely! I’ve never tried one but I’ve seen tons of guys using those as well. Definitely a necessary upgrade over the POD Express for a more professional board🤘
I bet it's great but too large IMHO ... Pod Express is more compact. And unlimited is what the Pod Express solves for -- too many options aren't necessarily a good thing.
Glad you figured it out. Shame the pod doesn’t have an effects loop too so you can use its drives in front. What would be a good test is to use the IRX and the crunch setting on the pod thru the same IR so we can hear if there is a difference in their basic preamp sounds? Cheers from UK!
It works very well in this setup and it’s awesome to have so many reverbs, delays, and modulation effects in one little box. It would definitely be great to be able to run it 4 cable method but I guess that would’ve made it too pricey for what they wanted to be. Thanks for watching!
Im going to try the Pod Exp in the FX unit of my Boss IR-2 when it comes in. Seems like it's a good match but we'll see
I'm glad you figured it out and got these amazing sounds! That really is an incredible small rig.
Cool compact rig!
Sounds awesome bro!
