Abandoned rusty toy - Antique JEP boat 1930 - Full restoration
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 кві 2021
- Here is a new video of an antique rusty toy. It's a rare cruise ship produced by JEP (Jouets De Paris) for Unis France. It comes from the 1930's !!
The JEP company was originally founded in Paris in 1920.
It's pretty rusted but the clockwork seems to work fine...
The flags and the masts were missing. I made new ones !
Please watch till the end so you can see this little boat in action !!... I know the swimming pool should be cleaned ;)
By supporting the channel you help me make more of these video and find more amazing items.
I hope you'll enjoy this full restoration.
Thanks a lot for watching !

Yea it was clear wasn’t it
I am still surprised that people still watch this
This boat is so cool, imagine having it in your colection of these old toys. Very cool restoration too. I salute to you sir
Thank you! 🙌

What a wonderful toy. Simple but so much fun. Proof you don't need electronics to have fun. Well done sir.
Hey Alan thanks a lot for your comment ! You’re so right... kids still enjoy playing with these toys 🤩
Agreed (-:
It’s absolutely beautiful, seeing you breathe new life into old rusty toys
Афигеть, очень круто, прямо как титаник, да и столько заботы вложил в ремонт, я кстати думал что очистка ограничится только пескоструйной машиной!
Одним словом: отлично, продолжай так же!!!
Great restoration but it could have been made at least twice as long so we could see more details of the processes you used. Just my opinion you understand.
Thanks for your comment 🙌 I know my vids are a bit too short... I’ll do better next time 😉 Thanks for watching tho !! 🙏
You Do Just Fine Sir. I SALUTE You.
@@TheFabrik short or long still remains amazing to watch
@@TheFabrik NO PLEASE THEY ARE LONG ENOUGH!!!!!
nice Antique rusty toy
Thank you !! 😌🙌
What a beautiful restoration! I sure did jump when you were lifting the deck and the bow suddenly folded up. 😱 Good thing you stopped it before it broke 😅. The boat looks fantastic!
🙏 Thanks a lot Geoffrey ! The sheet metal is so thin and fragile... that was closed...
Great job. Love the propeller shots in the end, you could see cavitation !
My mans got more patience then me🙃
Fantastic restoration. There was so much rust on this motor boat. You got it back to new again. Love seeing it in the water. Love your videos.
I'm a 73 year old German woman living in Japan and love your videos!
Thanks a lot Marie 🙌 Glad you enjoyed 🙌
These old toys are so much better than most of what is made today. I don't mind plastic, I have some fairly high quality plastic toys from when I was younger, but I hate the way modern toys are made to be played with for a few years then get thrown away. They aren't meant to be repaired if they break, or be passed on to the next generation. They are meant to be cheap and short lived.
This is relaxing and rewarding to see. What a result.
🙏 Thanks Arnold 🙌
During the dismantling phase, it was split into two like the Titanic 😀 I rarely watch restoration video and I enjoyed watching your video. Really great job 👌
Wow mate it's an honor ! 🙏 Thanks a lot for your comment 🙌 I've been singing the Titanic theme throughout the week...😩
@@TheFabrik You're welcome :) You deserve a lot more viewers. Stay healthy and keep up the good works.
You too !!! 🤝
3:38 This is my kingdom come, this is my kingdom come.
😃👍🏻
I believe that is an ocean liner, not a cruise ship. There is a big difference, ya know! Also, if i could get all of the JEP mini ships, but functional and already restored and repaired, that would be AWESOME.
🙏Thanks for the info, someone told me about the difference. All these JEP toys are really amazing 🤩 I own a locomotive from that brand lined up for restoration ... thanks for watching 🙌

Quedó precioso el resultado. FELICITACIONES.

Beautiful restoration! 😃😃😃😃

"This ship can't sink"

Sounds like Phrases from the 1997 Movie TITANIC, Mr Ismays and Mr Andrews talking to each other

The beautiful ship is wonderful. There are such toys.
kind of an realistic ship toy for its time
It took a lot of work but the results are outstanding! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you John !! 🙌
It’ll keep a man entertained forever.
Am so impressed
I love these restorations. Dude's a true artist
I feel so sad that we have abandoned this kind of toymaking. Each of these JEP toys are small masterpieces.
I wholly agree. The hours of joy this toy must have brought to its original owner are incalculable. Now we seem to live in a digital age where toys like this are a lost art. Its a loss.
I felt the pain in that break
I actually couldn't believe, that it really floats on water. It looks great.
I would LOVE to find one that has the gearbox shot on it, and have it turned into a radio control with that same look!
Why, exactly?
@@southcarolinianentertainment Yeah! with an electric motor (Sealed) and ful RC !! Would be really cool !! Let's face it this thing is barely seaworthy !!
Nice ship !
JEPは手の混んだ美しいおもちゃですね。それを丁寧に復元お見事です!!ありがとうございます

What marvelous toys children used to have!
That sand blasting (I believe that's what it is) is very satisfying lol.
Incredible work!
Nice! Good for another 70 or more years.
Cool toy boat👌
From the presentation at the beginning I thought this thing was huge... :D

Maybe you can restore the old steam ship united states because of the great work you do
Make sure it doesn't hit any icebergs unlike another famous boat
Thanks!! For sharing, learning a lot and enjoying at the same time.

Wow. Great restoration.
🙌 Thanks a lot Shimon !! Feel free to watch my other vids 🧐🙏😀
Everyone else: That’s broken and it will never work
The Fabrik: No, nothing is ever broken, it’s just in need of a restoration
😉👍🏻
Correction, its a toy of an ocean liner. Cruising wasn't at its peak in the 30s, but ocean crossings were way before cruising was even thought of.
Cruise ships take passengers on pleasure voyages while ocean liners take people from point A to point B regardless of the weather.
What liner the toy is based off of... idk, but it just seems like a parent let their kid try and make their own version of the Ile de France.
They would've done a great job for their time anyway, as you did for this video.
Well done😁
🙌 Thanks a lot for all these infos 🙏 I wasn’t sure about the year of production... thanks for watching 👍🏻
This is like a asmr so satisfying
Great job on this!👍🏻
