You can tell he studied mj.....
He’s only 22 so More than likely he studied Kobe, who studied MJ.
@@jjmuse75or both? Being 22 has nothing to do with who he studied, and besides I think this is just his natural instinct
Studied? That's his son😂😂
you know some people naturally do this? some of the best hoopers i knew never watched 1 ball game
I farted in front of strangers and they just looked at me. I was proud to have the courage.
The kid is a tremendous player .
I think he does not need this comparison now .
Let him play .
It's still early.
People are just obsessed with comparing everything with everyone. It's ridiculous 🫠
He plays like Jordan how can we not compare them
@@logicalmalethink4925because Jordan is the Goat and this kid is just starting … let him play !
A few rings down the road maybe … but now ? It’s too early , let him be …
So early he already have a montage of same plays lol
You are so correct let him play it’s still early days ppl already want yo put a pressure on him that he don’t need
He studied and learned the moves just like Kobe did. MJ heavily influenced so many players that came after him. New generations who never saw MJ play, can easily watch old games and video clips and learn from the master.
Jordan also had influenced by NBA greats before him. It's the cycle and if imitation is truly the most sincere from of flattery then Jordan is being applauded by that Edwards each time the youngster laces up.
He is very close but Jordan was more smoother and well balanced but that guy has potential to became a great player let's see in the future how develops
lebrick never studied MJ's moves
@@danhantheman He does wear #23. Anybody that wears 23 wanna be like Mike.
Exactly. MJ is still the master. Compare if you like. Jordan always squared his shoulders to the rim so he didn't look as lucky as Edwards did on some of those shots. Plus that hanging one hand floater was way longer coming out of MJ's hands.
I will say I like his fire to win. It's comparative to Jordan's as well. NBA NEEDS that now.
it's kinda eery actually
not really, you can tell Ant has studied MJ.
nah is late
MJ is his father
Was thinking the same damn thing, the moves are extremely identical!
Would you believe me if I said this is just his natural talent and he didn’t study mj at all? You all need to start watching his interviews. He makes a POINT to blaze his own trail and not EMULATE others. Greatness just has that smooth look to it.
Same moves but clearly not the same style, just look at MJ's flow 😮😮😮 So fluid and visually perfect, MJ was dancing in the air and on the floor, one of the best athlete of all time !!!
I think it's why he was also allowed the name MJ
MJ has this beautiful hang in the air this dude looks really tryna hard to do just that. not the same!
@@jordanthedoge535mj jumped straight from the ground why edwards was running n jumoed😂
@@jamarkswright6672 the glide and the flying motion is just beyond words when you see MJ in the air. AE seems awkward especially when he lands. This is the reason why not too many people last long as MJ. Not only MJ knew how to fly but also how to land. Most high flyers just know how to take off.
That Jordan layup will always impress me every single time
Same
Yeah its the most athletic move in NBA history. to just jump that far and lay it up like that is hard enough but the way he’s able to move his body around multiple defenders in MID FRICKEN AIR is just unbelievable and still kiss it off the glass like that.
Bro, I know everybody love the highflying stuff. I do too.
But the fact that this young man, at 22 years old, has already downloaded MJ's old man fadeaway to 100% completion is what really has me SENT.
I love Ant but if you think his fadeaway is the equal of Jordan's you are insane.
@@sandman1347 True, but you have to admit, Jordan didn't have this move in his bag at 22. It really impressive what Ant is able to do at his age. Not sure if he is as athletic as Jordan was at the same age tho, I don't think so.
@@Foosh-ok3dcJordan had a fadeaway since college. He just continuously refined it over the years. But yea Ant is sumn special. I look forward to watching him grow.
Downloaded 😂😂
@@guhsuckyamudda586 he had it, but it wasn't good. his fadeaway wasn't at its peak until his second three peat.
Before the Jordan Comparisons he has to pass Kobe
before KOBE he has to pass J.STACKHOUSE
@@onlyfacts3178😂😂🤣😂😂🤣🤣
Agree. He has to win 5 rings or more.
exactly, Kobe was the closet to being like Michael Jordan. just checkout the 'exact movements & plays' they both did. And Jordan was also Kobe's mentor, must be an honor to be taught by the best.
@@rado3880 lets see if any of these new players in this era, can even get 6 rings with the same team anymore like Jordan did with the Bulls...
They even wear the same accessories on the arm and leg 😅
MJ wore it first so someone is a copy kitty
Just like kobe did. He knows what he’s doing 😂
@@Burton647🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
@@Burton647why not follow the GOAT? MJ was clearly ahead of his time in both ability and aesthetics.
Edwards paying homage to the god.
People on here are whining and I’m over here smiling at all the similarities to their game. He’s making the NBA fun again and I see all MJ in him. He even has a physical resemblance to him when he had his hair earlier in his career😅. Anthony Edwards is the chosen one!
Nah Edwards way fucking stronger than MJ. I'd say MJ has a little more grace and prob better wingspan tho
NBA hasn’t ever stopped being fun.
Big props for finding all these clips. The accuracy is undeniable
Similarity is the word you’re looking for
@@sethtenrec Your similarity to an asshole is undeniable.
@@sethtenrec Your similarity to an asshole is undeniable.
Great video mash up! This is forsure spot on. They're on the same frequency, and you see how AE is taking full control to showcase his talent by any means.
Wow. Great cuts man. Love it.
MJ more hang time, more graceful and bigger hands. AE more handles, wetter J and that euro tho
MJ also taller and a higher vertical
MJ tenacious D, haven't seen that from AE yet.
@genustinca5565 I have all season, for instance his lockdown possessions against Tatum and Murray
@@monojuice Definitely seeing it against Denver in this series.
MORE HANDLES?? you mean is able to do it while JORDAN ERA it was called traveling and carrying...
GREAT compilation!
Thank you for putting these together!
🤎🤎🤎
You really compared the best layup ever to an almost out of balance hallelujah reverse throw
100%. MJ was always dominant and his moves were graceful AF... Ant just has mad hops and bolz to dunk over anybody.
Don't forget to consider where Ant is in his development. Taking a kid, and comparing his play to the goat... that's crazy. Unlimited promise for the young man...
@@tallsaint2053 - I was comparing him to MJ in the same phase, of course.
@@nama022 I don't remember MJ having the turnaround as dialed in at this stage. I might be wrong. Feel like he was getting it done with drives and pull-ups. I know he didn't have the 3-point game yet.
Ant doesn't have MJ's hang, or grace. He's got more of a power game, but does it with MJ-like smoothness. It will be fun to watch him develop. He's off to an incredible start and his head is in the right place. Appreciates his teammates...
@@tallsaint2053 - 100%. Well said.
Good edit 👏
Thanks bro🤎
Great Editing!!!
Heard AE talk. Let's face it, Jordan is simply in a class by himself.
Say a lil louder for the people in the back
Kobe is Jordan protege.. can't get no better...clip is clean tho what player in the Game don't wanna be compared to Jordan.. every athletes dream
The only difference really is MJ had to adjust his shot way more because defense was better back then.
If MJ was playing right now, he would be dunking on someone’s head at least 3 times a game.
Points average 1st 4 years
Anthony Edwards
19. 21. 24. 25
Michael Jordan
28. 22 37 35
Ant taking over the playoffs. But he needs to do this for 10 more years to be hearing these comparisons. And he knows that. He’s very humble. I can’t wait to see what he does.
Its stylistically though
@@kame99023 People should understand the comparison is about the "style," not the player.
Before he can get to Jordan he first has to pass kobe and he's definitely not there yet. Great player though!!
I Agree with you
Completely agree, but in terms of shooting guards lets realistically set the checkpoints to Vince, then Wade and then of course Kobe then MJ. We’re still miles away but kids off to a tremendous start. Just glad to be a fan and see where this goes cause he’s here and he’s the one
@nugget6292 Vince??? That’s actually crazy could’ve said Ray Allen AI Penny or something. He could pass up Vince this year if he gets a ring + fmvp as well as a gold medal let’s stop this
before KOBE he has to pass J.STACKHOUSE
@@monojuice checkpoints bro. He’s doing what Vince done against the bucks and sixers in the 2000s. He keeps up with this trajectory then its onto mount rushmore of SGs. Lets circle back in 15 years and see whats what
Nice put together.
Stop comparing anyone to MJ damn shit is tired. He’s his own man with his own legacy and destiny to fulfill
I agree with this. That said. I do think there is a difference between saying "Edwards' game is similar to MJ's" and "Edwards is the next MJ." I think the first is fair. The second is weird for people to still be saying about players more than 20 years after MJ left the NBA behind. Me personally, I like his mentality more than his game. I think that's really what makes him more like MJ/Kobe than a lot of other great players in the league today.
@@Celestial_Souljah It's good conversation and debate material. People are always going to discuss who the GOAT of any individual sport is. When someone comes along and "threatens" that moniker, it makes for interesting discussions.
Edwards is incredible, the next GOAT of his era, I can see it... at only 22. Same thing they said about MJ in his 2nd full season.
That’s fine but in terms of age and impact on the league, and ability, it’s actually an appropriate archetype comp. But obviously if he doesn’t win like MJ it comes back down to earth
@@STR00m482 Not only Rings but the insane accolades. 5 MVPs, 6 FMVPS, 10 scoring titles, 3 steals titles, 9x all DEF 1st team, 11x Total pts leader, DPOY, all-time regular season, playoff, and Finals PPG leader, All time blks leader by a guard, ROTY, 2x All-Star Gm MVP, 2x Olympic gold medalist.
And that 1988 season... Greatest individual season by any pro athlete in a team sport.
Edwards is absolutely incredible, and he is a worthy comparison. He's going to be the GOAT of this era, without question.
jokic is the new mj, discuss with me
That editing is really good kobe stole mj move now the ant who next🤣
Lebron stole mjs whole identity and still behind wtf u talking about
Crazy how these plays are basically exact, well put together vid !!!
🤎
kudos to who compile these videos. very resourceful.
First win a championship then lets compare Antman moves & athleticism to Kobe & MJ.
Kobe isnt in the same league as MJ athletically lets be honest. MJ was more powerful and more graceful in the air. Check his footage from 1984-1987...its otherwordly at times.
Right to be compared to Jordan he have a long long way let's see how clutch he is also how many individual trophies he get and obviously how many rings etc etc even if he surpass Jordan Lets be clear Jordan played in a more hard era so that's why he has a very long way to be compared
None of these guys seem to create their own thing, they gotta do the jordan shrug. That's who you know is the goat. The most obvious difference is one of them is Michael Jordan, and the other puts up numbers more like Kendall Gill if Kendall Gill jacked up 6-7 3-point shots a game. But in Edwards' defense, he does consistently hit 35%, and the math on that says you'd rather have him shoot that shot at 35% than a 2-point shot at 45%.
Jordan is the carrot on the stick for the nba! Is good for the company and the sports of nba.
That’s because it’s just a shrug & been done by players after Jordan ole run of times .. the media is acting like this is the first time anyone has shrugged since MJ 😂
Nice vid. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
thanks bro🤎
What a montage ! Insane souvenir.
thanks bro🤎
Enough already...this all of a sudden became everyone's favorite thing to mindlessly say.
Edwards is good...he's not even in Jordan's stratosphere yet.
Ridiculous 😂
Ant or nobody ever has done a triple clutch layup.
💯
Kyrie
Wow well done putting it together
thanks bro🤎
Good video!
thanks bro🤎
he’s his own person but you can tell he studied MJ, little bro vibes 🔥
Hn thats just his style 😂 plus he been saying he like kd 😂
Point one: Edwards is only a year older than a rookie Jordan so a bit early. Point two: as of 2024 Jordan’s game is more beautiful to look at imo, more fluid and powerful in terms of pure aesthetics
I like ant game more
Nice video 👍
thanks bro🤎
i could watch these all day! I hope he stays healthy. He's fun to watch.
He Is the next
Maybe🫣
And Now
Take it easy now
You cannot compare an original to a copy.
That’s literally what a comparison is
Funny comparison 😂
I noticed that too , the fade away looked familiar ...:)
MJ→ KB→ AE
He looks nothing like MJ I’m sorry. Best in the league yea but MJ is too pretty
Bro it's the same person if you look at the moves and highlights 🫠
Niggas was looking at mj through a potato
@Cactus…
It’s not even close… if you watch the highlights and are honest with yourself, as opposed to being so disingenuous. Sigh. What you want doesn’t trump what is people.
@joe…
Bro… lol, smh.
lol i think MJ is the greatest by far and it’s really not close but with that being said
It went Dr. J , MJ, Kobe, and now Anthony Edwards.
😊 Anthony Edwards is so refreshing!
I see a mix of a Kobe and Michael influence
Nice video
thanks bro🤎
Jordan's fake and fade away is 10 times faster than Anthony's. 😂
Sadly Ant Man can be locked up :(
He 22
@@jamarkswright6672 We are all faster young than old. Didn't get u, bro.... ...
@@otaviohsilva rephrase ts please😭
Jordan had a seven inch higher vertical which is crazy to think about
How does he compare to Kobe
@amiga4everandever Kobe's vertical was 38 inches. Which is still really good but it's not extraordinary.
Wow 🤯 impossible not to make the comparison. Hopefully it continues 🤞
There are videos out of him literally learning MJs fadeaway footwork and it looks really good.
MJ, often imitated, but never duplicated
They really tried to compare MJ triple switch in the air in this video 🤣
Man this vid gave me goosebumps. The similarities are really there.
Damn, same release time is crazy
Much needed in the league 🔥
The layup still gives me chills 🥶
i had never seen these plays before, now i don’t have any doubt
Wow. Amazing editing. Those guys can play
Thanks bro🤎
even after all these years, jordan still maintaints teh stand of time. he is amazing. still would be a top 5 athlete in todays league if not top without all of the sports medicine
Impressively made video.
Thanks bro🤎
The Hang time and Grace of Jordan. Is on another Level.
First time wacthin him play last night in game 7 and it gave me the chills
MJ 's moves are sooo smoooth😊😊😊
Wait until he's 25. He's only 22 now. The best of Edwards has yet to be seen.
anthony edwards should try rock the cradle dunk
The return of the goat
Great vid but you should’ve included the block where Ant and Jordan both hit their head on the rim.
I’m taking about Ant’s block vs pacers and MJ’s block vs Duke.
Thanks bro and yea ma bad
The original still looks smoother and better.
Jordan himself said he saw similarities in him and Edwards game.
I think this shows why they're not compared
Very similar style of play and the way they carry themselves is a lot a like also I won't be surprised if anthony Edward's stays healthy that he will very easily be one of the next guys to be the face of the league
Good selection of plays
Thanks bro🤎
"He's my son."
It's unbelievable that you were able to find get these comparisons.
🤎
His moves are great. But MJ’s flair, big hands, and hang time is something different. Ant’s got the hop but not the hang time and the ability to contort mid air.
Jordan skills still hold up today
There's no way that some dude who plays ball now looks like a guy who came before him especially when it's famous as Jordan? This man is a legit baller and on his way to being one of the best. Quit putting on Fair stigmas on the man's name and let him be himself. There's only one Mike. only one Kobe. one Timmy. one Shaq... etc
I agree with you bro
Game 4 is right around the corner and we need a Mike like typa game. 😅🙏🏾
This is pretty wild
He studied the 💩 out of Jordan that's crazy
Im agree that his game reminds me a Jordan, thanks for this interesting video
Thank you too bro🤎
Amazing to me how Jordan always looks so much more on-balance, fluid, and effortless than even other world-class level players. There was also this game of HORSE he played with a young Mike Finley in 1993 (Finley was one of the best college players in the nation at the time), and they do a couple of fancy layups, and Jordan's was just waaay more fluid and effortlessly athletic.
Mj moves were more natural looking. More fluid.
MJ is the architect of this style which chose Kobe now the next descendant of the Cloth is Anthony Edwards
Everybody arguing about the goat debate
Me: those edits tho 🎬
Jordan fly longer, but AE is my fav player atm
Like father, like son!
I’m still waiting for that famous switch hand against Lakers 1991 finals…….seeing Ant as a high flyer also and quite good on his left…I think he’ll eventually pull that move.
If I were to create a scoring guard model in a video game, considering attributes like height, wingspan, speed, jumping ability, hand size, and etc., I'd end up modeling it after MJ. He's just the perfect template for a scoring guard. AE is very good, just let this young guy play, and let's see where he can get.
Scariest thing about todays time you have players like Anthony Edwards so young who can study the greats and these youngins are way more smarter then we are coming up they have the best potential to ability ratio due to the golden age we’re in
He even has the calf sleeve and elbow band in the same areas as MJ 😭 🔥
You can literally do this with 90% of the superstars that played shooting gaurd or small forward. You can make one with Vince Carter, Tracy Mcgrady, Latrell Spreewell, D Wade etc etc
Yeah I can see it, Kobe to me was the closest but man Jordan's hang time in the air I don't think will ever be duplicated Jordan literally floated for a good while every time probably the closest a person has ever got to really "flying"
It’s crazy how crisp Mike was in comparison 💪🏾
New generation just mad they can’t see another Jordan in this Era so they making stuff up
U can see he admires, studies and incorporates what works for him ,MJ had some of the best footwork in the league which helped him score effortlessly and without using so much energy. Also sometimes even the oldest tricks can full the all the new dogs on the block .
Wow!! Damn 🔥
MJ just so much more fluid
He invented his moves that’s why 🦾
