It was good but it needed more sadder emotion from Elle

The thing that irks me about this show is that none of the girls were really right for the role of Elle. I think they had to choose really inexperienced girls because other actors are actually working on broadway and don't need a reality show to get there and the talented girls like Emma, Autumn, and Celina are doing this because they can. I'm 99.5% sure that all of them had agents at the time.
Sophie K actually Lena hall (celina) was already a Broadway actress when she was on this show lol. She just wasn’t a very big star when she was on here. But now she has a tony! 😊

One thing that kinda annoys me is how she's really trying to hard, everything seems way to forced

i got chills when laura performed this song. but i'm not feeling anything here.
I might be biased but I dont like Bailey as Elle, I wont deny she has talent but she doesnt put passion into her role as Elle. Laura was crying when she did the first part and through out the song she was just beautiful on all notes and pitches and all.
Laura, even through out the musical, gave us a GREAT show, made us belive that she was Elle, made it VERY enjoyable to watch, Bailey on the other hand isnt making me see how she could replace Laura, she just doesnt have the passion Laura did.
You took the words right out of my mouth. Especially the part at “Laugh with my friends when I arrive” I think she misinterpreted what it meant. Elle was meant to be heartbroken because since she’s fallen in love with law it’s the last thing she wants to do yet Bailey was smiling at that line
Some girls were just meant to smiiiiiiile! I loved that part.

She was not that great on this show, but she is still performing as Elle around the country, and she has matured into this role more. She has gotten so much better. (no pun intended.) She is actually being Elle right now in Birmingham, AL.

very beautiful, the way she sang "smile"! I was rooting for her during the series but this is one of my favorite and I was greatly let down by this performance. She's much more of a power house vocalist!

I don’t think this is the best performance of this song, but people are being too over dramatic “my ears are bleeding” its really NOT that bad like AT ALL

Yeah, her high notes aren't very good, and I think it's because they're too high for her to belt. Maybe if she tried going into head voice she could stay on pitch and not strain. OH, and her acting is definitely not impressive at all...
i really dont appreciate bailey belting this song- people may say you have to but i really like it as a more legit sound. but on a happier note, i knew bailey was going to win from the first show. shes amazing & i hope she doesnt stop at LB. go bailey (:

This performance wasn't very good. She couldn't do the "pond" part and the "drive" part.
Bailey really is an excellent Elle!! People keep comparing her to Laura Bell, but the fact is... This is Bailey NOT Laura Bell, they are different people, they both have strengths and weaknesses that they bring to the character! Laura Bell may have been the original but she isn't the only Elle Woods, you shouldn't critize people like Bailey, who have so much tallent and potential, unless you yourself can do better, which I highly doubt for anyone is possible!! Bailey is a stunning Elle!!
Shaunsiee the reason people keep comparing her to Laura is because she basically tried to be Laura throughout the whole rest of the play. She didn't try to put her own spin into the role she was just trying to be a carbon copy of LBB and she sucked at it. Wish she would've just been herself she would've been so much better 😔

I hate when people compare her to Laura. She's not trying to be Laura, she's trying to be Elle, and if that means putting her own spin on the character, then let her. I agree this wasn't her best, and she's no Laura, but she will be great on Broadway.

Well, I dont wanna say bad things bout her, but I cant find somethin good to say, Im sorry I didnt mean to be cruel, I have nothing against her. Actually its not that bad, I didnt expect to hear someone lyk Laura either, but hey she won the competition that makes her the best of the bunch. And shes so young, shes just started. Wish her the best anyway.
